Following an official recount of the ballots on Saturday, the People's National Party (PNP) have won one more seat, inching closer towards the tally of the winning JLP party.
Director of Elections, Orrette Fisher reported that the PNP's Winston Green has won the St Mary South East seat following the official count that ended late Saturday evening.
Fisher said at the end of the count, Green was ahead by nine votes.
This would change the balance of power to 32 seats for the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) and 31 for the PNP.
Following the preliminary count on Thursday, the JLP's Norman Dunn was declared the winner of the St Mary South East seat after polling 7,311 to Green's 7,184.
