Honestly, how can you expect to rape a woman who nurture you as if you are her own flash and blood and then want to walk the street free.


More time when I am reading the paper I can’t believe some of the things I am seeing. On Tuesday the report in the Star just turned my stomach where a man who was accused of raping an elderly woman who cared for him as her own grandchild lost his appeal against his convictions and 20-year-prison sentence.


Now anyone who could do something like that shouldn’t even bother to tender an appeal. First of all a big 39-year-old should be looking at a mature woman or even someone in her 20s…what the hell attraction could he expect to find in an elderly woman?

It’s even worse that it is the same woman who nurtured him, fed him, and maybe was there for him when he was down and needed someone to cheer him up.


What happened to make her image shift from a motherly one to that of someone who is so sexually appealing that you forgot all that she should have been to you and violated her like this?


The sickening part about the whole thing was how the grandmother described the whole ordeal.


The woman testified at the trial that she was at home at about 6 p.m. on December 8, 2003, when the accused whom she knew from he was a child visited her. She said she was lying on her bed when the accused jumped on her and began riding her like a horse at Caymanas Park.


She said she felt every bone in her body reacting to the jump and jolt and her bones began to hurt her. She told him to stop but he continued riding her. While he was riding her, she said she discovered that he wanted to rape her. She reminded him that AIDS was around but the accused shouted that she did not have AIDS and he did not have AIDS. Williams raped her for about an hour and left saying he was coming back. She said she left her house and went some distance away and slept for the night in a bamboo root. The next day she came into Kingston and reported her ordeal to her children who took her to the police. She said she had 20 children but 10 of them had died.


Under cross-examination at the trial in the St Mary Circuit Court, the complainant said she could never have consented to have sexual intercourse with Williams because he was the same age as her grandchild.


Sad…it’s a sad sad world.

Thanks to her illuminating personality filled with hit singles such as Party Limers, Tabla Swing, Gotta Do, I found Love and Pretender, Nikeisha, also known as Lady Nicky is multi talented and has been able to mix R & B, Soca and Hip hop and satisfies audiences across the spectre in a dancehall or formal environment, Nikeisha does not limit her potential and is classified as a "Diva Extraordinaire." Nikeisha was invited to perform at the Apollo Theatre in New York Manhattan, which she considers it to be a wonderful experience. Nikeisha lives a glamorous life at such a young age she is an aspiring young student pilot, traveled to Europe and the Caribbean to record and perform, while juggling her career in the financial industry. Her new single "Wolf Blass" featuring Beenie Man recently release and the video will be coming soon.

She began singing at the age of eight and reflects at her shyness she brought with her from her Caribbean upbringing to Canada. She favours R&B ventured to try Soca and is quite successful with the transition. She is influenced by such stars as Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight Aretha Franklin and Calypso Rose. Probed by her dad and close friends, Nikeisha cut her first demo tape at age 16 in a local studio in Toronto and is in the process of releasing her second album for 2007, which has a bit of R & B, Soca, Reggae, Jazz and Latin music.

Denise Williams a private tutor showed interest in Nikeisha and helped her fine tuned her voice. Nicky graduated from Barbizon School of modeling which helped create her image and style, this motivated her to compete in 2 beauty pageants placing in the first 5 winning best talent, Miss Congeniality and Miss. Entrepreneur. Nicky gives over 100% while performing. She designs her own clothing and occasionally uses local designers, her clothing are sometimes a bit naughty or nice depending on her moods and always classy and sophisticated.

In 2004 her debut album Party Limers featured a local artiste Diamond, was remixed in 2005. This pulsating up-tempo composition with its catchy hook line has received significant airplay on FLOW 93.5 was introduced by popular DJ, Dr. Jay and usually have the party goers jamming. This led to invitations in 2005 where Nicky was invited to perform in England's Carnival, Trinidad & Tobago Carnival where she performed for "Virgo 1" boat cruise aboard the Treasure Queen, Spektakula, Diva's Night just to name a few. Nicky did a bit of fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Toronto on "Cruise the Harbour front" as her mission to give back to her community.

In conclusion Nikeisha remains a favourite among R & B and Soca fans and remains the "queen of Soca" in Toronto to her fans. As for the future Nikeisha will be heading to Germany later this year.

Eneka Bleary the recently crown dancehall queen of Poughkeepsie has been dancing for sixteen years now and by becoming the next dancehall queen has always been a profound interest of hers.

"Dancing to me is something serious but sometimes it's fun. I eat, sleep, and drink dancing, to me without dancing I don't know what I would be doing right now," she told YardFlex.Com.

She strongly believes dancing is what helps to get her through her everyday struggles.

"I dance whenever I get the chance this helps me to express myself to others. To me dancing is a gift some people has it and some don't, I am glad to say I am one of those people who do."

Whenever Eneka is at the club she can't help but to hit the dance floor and 'buss di' place, while patrons watch keenly hoping to learn a few dance moves.

"I get a lot of attention from people who admires my dance patterns. They would often ask where did I learn to dance like that. "I would reply from watching television and then by adding my own flavors."

Inspirations: dancehall queen carline is my inspiration, I have been admiring her styles from a child growing up.

Tia is not signed to any particular agency but she does most of her freelance gigs for La Siya Model Agency. In the world of modeling her dream is to become famous on the international circuit, and in the end hopes to own her own clothing line. But before she climbs that ladder she's now preparing her self to enroll into college no later than September.

Pet Peeve: Guys who don't know how to give a compliment. I am really turned off by guys, some of whom are really cute, who just approach me by saying 'baby, yu fat' or some equally crass way, that is a big turn off for me, guys should learn how to give a proper compliment.

It's not often that you find a girl who is as wholesome as she is sexy, but when that happens in one package, it's sheer magic. That happened when YardFlex caught up with one of our favourite YARDGIRLS, Tina.

"It is not my ambition to become a model, what I want to do is establish my own business," the 22 year-old nail technician told YardFlex.

She originally hails from the town of Mandeville, and describes herself as 'fun-loving, outgoing, yet responsible'.
She plans to do a lot of traveling to see as much as she can of the world, but has no immediate plans to go to university to pursue a tertiary education.

"I am still trying to figure out what I want to do."

She is quite proud of her large, beautiful eyes, arguably her best trait. They are eyes that a man can fall into and lose himself if he is not careful. Says Tina of her 'captivating eyes'.
"I get them from my father still, people like to gaze into them a lot," she said, laughing.

Despite her killer smile and those gorgeous eyes, she is (surprise surprise) single.

"I guess I haven't met the right guy, one who is honest and who is outgoing, but when I do, who knows? Maybe I'll settle down and have kids"

The first thing that strikes you about Danielle is her rampant sexuality. Listening to her nimble edgy dancehall vocals laced with R-rated lyrics, and watching her sinewy feline moves, it doesn't take you long to come to the conclusion that she is a bold, mercenary ghetto sex bomb.

"Yeah, definitely," she agreed, laughing. "I am a pretty thug, a ghetto sex bomb with an uptown flavour."

Danielle has been been raising eyebrows recently with her combination single, 'Brown Girl in the Ring' with Virgin Records recording artiste Beenie Man. She also has a slamming single, 'Rudey', on noted producer Birch's 'Dancehall Rock' rhythm.

Despite her stunning good looks and relatively quick success, she is laid-back and humble, just your typical round-the-way diva.

"I really love the music business a lot, I have a burning passion for it, and at this time in my life, this is what I want to do, this drives me," she said.

She has an able and talented management team which works closely to hone her natural talents, and to develop new skills essential to her success in the biz. Michael Holgate of ASHE who works with her on the areas of artiste development, mock press interviews, and dance, while her manager, Amelia 'Milk' Sewell of CVM TV and Simply Innovating Artistes (SIA), handles the rough-and-tumble business side. Danielle writes her own material, but also collaborates with writers such as the comedic duo Twins of Twins.

The YARDFLEX team showed up at the video shoot for the single. When the writer arrived at the shoot, the salacious twentysomething year-old was busy strutting her stuff in a bikini, showing off her cat-like moves in the pool as the male camera crew shot the scene in earnest.

The director of the video was Julia Braham whose previous credits include the 'Anger Management' medley and Cecile's 'Woman Tings'. After a few minutes, the director yelled cut, and Danielle emerged from the pool, beads of water winding their way slowly down her voluptuous body. The Yardflex writer swallowed...twice, a gentle lion already stirring in his loins. And then she walked over to him, and breathed in a perky voice:
"Hi, I am Danielle."

A rhinestone was embedded in her teeth between her left incisor and molar, and winked at you when she smiled. At that time, the writer was totally captivated by her presence, but then again, she has that sort of effect on people.

A graduate of St. Andrew High school for Girls, Danielle's first foray in the business was a combination single, 'Turn Him On' with Cecile. Her mother, Siegrid Isaacs, has supported her daughter's career decision to the fullest. Danielle grew up in downtown Kingston, but thanks to her mother's entrepreneurial skills, they are a long way from the socially depressed area of John’s Lane now.

"As Ashanti said, I love mommy, she's my mom-ager," she said, hugging her mother, a good-looking woman with bleached-blonde hair and beautiful skin. Danielle has also mended her estranged relationship with her father. According to her mother, Danielle has a mixed cultural heritage, "black, English white and a little Jew".
Asked about her work-out programme, Danielle's hands go almost defensively to her golden-brown midriff where a slight paunch that makes her even more irresistible

"I go to the gym, not as often as I should but I do work out," she said, laughing.

Danielle has been busy in recent weeks networking with local artistes, and recently, she voiced a show-stopping remake of Marvin Gaye's 'Sexual Healing' with Una Morgan of Morgan Heritage fame.
"It is a wicked wicked song, and I enjoyed working with Una so much," she said.

She really wants to collaborate on projects with male performers such as Baby Cham, Assassin, and Kip Rich.

"And I love Damian Marley, I love his hardcore rasta vibe, I really want to work with him as well," she said.

Look out world, here comes Danielle.

Making a difference is what it's all about for CeSoul Music's latest muli-talented signed Nordia Witter. Born on the beautiful isle of Jamaica, the vivacious singer, songwriter, model and fashion designer grew up in a musical family, sang in her school choir and sites as her main influences Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Beyonce Knowles, Usher and Richie Stephens.

How do you define true beauty? Mere words cannot describe the irridiscent beauty of 23-year-old Tamara Murray. Words can only diminish what she has become in the minds of the ordinary Jamaican male - the perfect definition of beauty.

Tamara was born in the second city, Montego Bay but spent most of her life in the capital of Jamaica, Kingston. She strongly believes that in order to capture the spotlight in her chosen field of modeling, it would be best to for her to live in the Corporate Area because this is where the party hub now exists.

Tamara has been modeling professionally for over five years and has made several appearances in the music videos of various well-known entertainers such as Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, TOK, Super Cat/112 and recently, she did a photo session with Sean Paul for his upcoming promotional pictures.

Her plans for the future: "My plan for the future is to become famous on the international scene. That would probably be one of the best days of my life."

Hi, my name is Kimberly and I am from the warm and sunny parish of Kingston, (Jamaica). I am a very intellectual and down to earth girl who likes to socialize with persons, especially with persons who I am not familiar with.

I have never thought of being a model, but I pretty much would love to do photographic modeling. I just love to see my self in photos, (a girl thing). I am also a lover of appearing music videos and commercials.

I don't think that I would want to do modeling in Jamaica because no one is willing to pay the price for what they want you to do. I know a lot girls who have been modeling for years and is yet they cannot show what they have gain from being a model.

I am presently attending a school of continuing education where I am doing back over a couple of CXCs. After that I will be pressing to enrolled in either University of the West Indies or UTECH.

Even though things are expensive in Jamaica, I believe it's one of the best place to live from once you have a solid education and a good job, is just the perfect ingredient of making living in Jamaica feels like living in paradise.

In my spare, I like to go clubbing with my friends, hanging out on the beach eating fish and festival and most of all going to the movies.

There is no way I could finish write this letter without expressing my love for our culture that the world craved for and our energetic dancehall music and the easy skanking reggae music.

Some like it hot, some like it cold, but Nashaun likes it pretty much to stay at home. This 20-year-old beauty hails from the parish of Trelawny where she spent most of her life. She then decided to venture to the capital of Jamaica (Kingston) to pursue a career in the modeling industry.

When she finally gets to Kingston, she got home sick in a matter of couple days. Missing the cool breeze from the many trees situated around her house and the scent of the green lush flowers. According to Nashaun, she just could not handle the heat and humidity that the capital has to offer.

But, just has she decided to go back home to her lovely parish, she met a guy by the name of John Giscombe who asked her if she would be interesting in modeling. Right away she answers, "Yes, I would really like to get involved with an agency."

From that day she immediately have a different view of Kingston. Now it was all about walking the catwalk, fashion photo shoot, advertisement and video shoots.

Even though she was so caught up into modeling, she also realize that it was necessary to have a solid education, so she got enrolled with Fast Track Career Institute, where she is doing computer studies. After that, she plans on pursuing a degree in medicine at the University of the West Indies.

Oh Grace-Ann, Oh Grace-Ann, you might be that special girl that every man dreamt of. Your magnificent figure and your amazingly cute face is enough to let any man go crazy for you.

The citizens of her community in Portmore easily remember Grace-Ann as 'heavy sex'. Whenever she's passing a group of guys, you can always listen out for them shouting 'heavy sex' trying to get at least a second of Grace-Ann's attention.

Grace-Ann had made a lot cameo appearance in music videos for well known artistes and advertisements. She was also a contestant in the Mss Kingston & St. Andrew Festival Queen 2004, in which she places as the second runner-up. Grace-Ann advice to young girls who would love to add modeling as a part of the career is, "Modeling can be tricky, especially if you don't really know much about the company who you are planning on modeling for. Always do vast amount of background checks on these agencies before you get tangled with them into any contractual agreement. If you are with an agency and you do not feel comfortable, then the choice is yours to go where you will feel at home".

19 year old Sujani Munroe could have been one of the most successful models in Jamaica today, but decided to put that dream aside, why? She strongly believes that a solid education is the way to go. Sujani has received a lot of invitation from well known agencies in Jamaica some such as Pulse, French Kut International and Champs Model Management.

She's presently in West Virginia seeking a career in the field of nursing. After completion, her next big move is to master the Sciences, a continuation of what she was studying while in Jamaica at University of The West Indies.

In her spare time, you can always find Sujani at home helping her mother Nerrisa knitting fashionable swim wears. Her mother is ranked among some of the big name designers in Jamaica and the name of her clothing line is Risuji that was named after her daughter Sujani.

Once again she reclaims her love for modeling and from that moment she actually begins to feel what it's like to be a professional model.

Her aim in the future is to complete her Flight Attendant course and to one day open a fashion school that will be adjoined with a modeling agency.

There's a revolution taking place in the Dancehall/Reggae industry. The ladies are making their mark! One such female artiste is Michelle Angela Downer more popular known as Angel who's the former sweetheart of the ever "Cross, Angry, Miserable" Bounty Killer.

Being one of dancehall's new sensations, it was no surprised that music would become a big part of her life. As Like most successful entertainers, she honed her skill by performing for friends and family and held her notes on the school choir. As she got older, Angel drifted from music and entered the glamorous world of fashion as a model (Pulse). The lights, camera, action and exotic locations weren't enough to keep her away from the heavy baseline and pulsating rhythms of dancehall music.

Angel made her return to her true passion when she became the sole female member of the short-lived 'Lord of Yard' (L.O.Y) group in 2001. How did you got involved in modeling?
I was at work and my class teacher from Kaju School of Fashion called me and asked, if I could model some lingerie for her.
I noticed that the photographer who was present kept stirring at me from head to toe, which I must confess got me a little bit nervous. At the end of the photo session he came over and asked me if I would be interesting to model for his company. Then and there, my career as a model started.
