Attentive


I demonstrate God's love by being attentive.


Today I am attentive to the many ways I can be of service to others. I make time to visit a family member who has been ill or a friend who is grieving. I help a neighbor find a lost pet or attend to a child who needs a special moment of care or attention. I welcome opportunities to be of service, and I am rewarded with experiences that uplift me and others.


I tenderly offer my care, patiently give my time and thoughtfully demonstrate God's love by being attentive to the needs of others. As I serve, I receive even more. Seeing a smile returned fills me with appreciation. Any gift or attention I may have given to another blesses me abundantly in return.


Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.--James 1:17

Pray for Others


I see all people through the eyes of God.


I am easily moved to pray for those I hold dear, especially when one is hurting in some way. "I will pray for you" rolls naturally off my tongue. As I pray, I connect with that individual in Spirit and in love.


It may not come as easily to me to open my heart and pray for those who have treated me or someone else harshly. But I know that every soul deserves the upliftment of prayer. All of us carry a spark of the Christ Light. It is there for me to see if I see as God sees.


When I release any unforgiving thoughts or hostility, I allow God's grace and wisdom to pour through me. As I focus on the goodness in all people, I feel deep compassion. In prayer, I help create a space where all are healed, including me.

I am filled with peace as I choose to forgive.


There may be times in my life when I feel I have been wronged by family, friends or coworkers. This is a perception I can either hold on to or change. My perceptions can either pull me down or lift me higher. They can either serve me or limit me--the choice is mine.


I choose today to have a positive perception. I choose to focus on the blessings in my life instead of the hurts or anxieties. I choose to adopt an attitude of forgiveness rather than one of resentment. I choose to release the past, forgive and move forward.


As I forgive, I experience the peace and power of God's love at work in me and in my life. Through forgiveness, I am at one with God, and I am at peace.

I am at peace in the midst of this divine-order day.


Whether I find myself in a busy home or a thriving workplace, my environment may seem chaotic at times. If I feel stress building within me, I know my perspective needs adjusting. I take a deep breath and quiet my thoughts. As I become centered, I am able to see my experiences differently. I look at my life and the world around me with fresh eyes.


I see divine order at work in the system of life and activity that is flourishing around me. And I am divinely equipped to do what is mine to do. I have the time, talent and resources I need to contribute in meaningful ways. I am centered and calm, peaceful and poised, in the midst of this divine-order day.

Willing



With a willing spirit, I express more of my Christ Light each day.


Every change begins with willingness. It is the opening through which I invite more of God's abundance and wisdom into my life.


If I find myself wishing some area of my life were different, I bring this thought to God in prayer. I then ask myself, Am I willing to let go of past hurts and allow God's love to flow through my life? Am I willing to see myself as a perfect child of God, receptive to all of God's good? Am I willing to release limiting thoughts and beliefs and expand my understanding of God's power within me?


As a first step, I say "Yes, I am willing!" Step by step, with a willing spirit, I express more of my Christ Light each day.

One with God, I make wise choices.


Honoring the circle of life on planet Earth, I make wise use of resources and protect the environment as part of my spiritual practice.


Like a loving mother, the Earth supports and sustains me. I return that love by reusing and recycling the materials I use. Through the small act of giving something I no longer need to someone who does, I circulate and share my abundance with others.


I hold the planet in prayer, affirming good for all creation and all humanity. I strengthen my affirmation with conscious acts of generosity and responsibility and contribute to the care of planet Earth.

Grace



I am supported by the unconditional love of God.


Mistakes are a natural part of learning--just as falling down is a natural part of learning to walk. But when I make a serious mistake, I may find it hard to forgive myself for what I have said or done.
I cannot make amends if I remain stuck in a cycle of self-blame or criticism. Instead, I remember that God loves me unconditionally. I take responsibility for my actions, and with God's grace, I do my best to resolve the situation. This may require a heartfelt apology, a change in my behavior or another step. I trust God to guide me to the best response.


As I open to the grace of God, I am able to forgive myself and accept God's unconditional love.

The love of God is my true source of comfort and strength.


On a cool autumn evening I may enjoy the warmth and comfort of sitting by the fire or sipping a hot cup of tea. The comfort and care I give myself and others are ways in which the love of God is manifest in my life. In these peaceful moments, I understand that I am beloved of God.


To deepen my experience of peace and comfort, I turn within to the silence and immerse myself in God's love and protection. I relax into the divine Presence that is the source of my comfort and strength.


I am blessed to know that the presence of God is with me at all times and in all situations. Whenever I turn within, God's gentle whisper of assurance fills my soul with peace.

I am open and receptive to God's wisdom.


If I've asked for something in prayer, I must prepare myself to receive the answer. By opening my mind and heart to whatever the answer may be, I remain receptive to spiritual wisdom. It may come through a conversation with a friend, an informative book or even from the lyrics of a song. I may witness a brilliant sunset or receive a thoughtful drawing from a child. Regardless, I will feel a deep resonance and peace with the answer I receive, a closeness to God, as I realize this message was intended for me.


I connect with God in infinite ways, and I am guided. Remaining conscious of God's presence, I recognize the answer.

I am grateful for life. I am at peace.

Let Go, Let God


My spirit soars as I let go and trust God.


As I step out in faith to do something new and daring, I may feel like a skydiver moments before a jump. When I make the conscious choice to let go of my comfortable surroundings, I may experience a moment of fear. But like the skydiver, my fear is quickly replaced with exhilaration and excitement as I soar through the experience with complete trust. I let go of my fear. God is with me and all is well!


Letting go of fear is liberating. As I let go and trust God, I open the way for God's perfect expression within me and in all the circumstances of my life. I don't worry about the outcome, for I know that all is well. I know that God is in charge and that I am being divinely guided and blessed.

Healing


I am open and receptive to the divine healing power within me.


I am filled with the breath of Spirit. The unlimited healing power of God revitalizes me in mind and body. If I find myself feeling a bit run down or harried by the tasks before me, I stop for a moment and become conscious of my breathing. I take a break and breathe in the breath of Spirit.


I become aware of the cleansing, renewing, healing power of God. I let go of outer distractions and slow down, just for a moment, and rest quietly. I breathe in the energizing power of God and breathe out any worries or distractions. As I do, I feel peaceful and calm. I know that with every breath I take, I am filled with divine healing power and revitalized in mind, body and spirit.

I seek God and find true peace and prosperity.


There are times in my life when I am perfectly comfortable just where I am and others when I am seeking something more. If I am seeking, I need to ask myself what it is I hope to find. Is it greater peace and strength? Is it a change in my career or lifestyle? Do I seek a new skill, a greater challenge or an outlet for my creativity?


My seeking may be prompted by the gentle urging of Spirit to be the best that I can be. I trust Spirit now as I turn within in prayer. By seeking God first, I open myself to abundant blessings. I trust God, knowing I will find the resources, strength and confidence to be all I am meant to be. In God, I experience a life of greater joy, wisdom and prosperity.

I am blessed by the goodness of God.


Prosperity manifests in my life in myriad ways--not only as money. As I count my blessings, I realize that God's goodness is everywhere. I give thanks for my food, shelter, friends, family and livelihood. I focus on my blessings rather than dwelling on any perception of lack.


The more I look for things to be grateful for, the more blessings I find. By noticing these blessings and giving thanks, I am positive, productive and prepared for good.


The more good I perceive, the more I receive. As I appreciate all of God's blessings and dwell in abundance and contentment, even more goodness comes my way.

I give from the Christ of my Being.


When I think of giving as an art--a creative expression of my Christ Light--I pour more of myself into giving. I tune in to ways I can support others and give meaningful gifts that will delight the receiver.


Divine ideas come to mind as I shift my focus away from "things" to the art of true giving. As I write a letter to a friend with whom I've lost contact or give an encouraging smile to a struggling stranger, I know that just what is needed is mine to give. I am inspired to give more as new creative expressions of giving come to mind. Knowing that the circle of giving is also receiving, I am grateful for all that I give and all that I receive.

I live in the divine flow of love and life.

Divine power fills me with joy today.

I am a radiating center of peace.


Heat emanates from the core of the sun, where particles bump and collide, radiating energy and warmth. When I turn my face to the sun, I feel the power that is released from deep within it, benefitting me and all of planet Earth.


Deep within me, divine light radiates love and energy throughout my mind, body and spirit. Loving expressions emanate from the core of me, from my Christ nature.


I have within me all I need to radiate love and peace into the world.

A Way


God is my help in every need.


In "The Prayer of Faith," Hannah More Kohaus begins: "God is my help in every need. God does my every hunger feed. God walks beside me, guides my way, through every moment of the day."


With God, there is always a way to meet life's challenges, to rise above what appear to be limiting circumstances. There is always a way to restore wholeness and peace of mind, to experience joy and to grow in spiritual understanding. God is the loving, all- providing presence within me, the unwavering principle of truth and love.


God brings forth the good in any situation. I turn within to God in prayer with faith and expectancy, knowing there is a way through any shadow into the light. "God, I am listening. God, I will abide in you. You are my help in every need."

I move gracefully through life as the Christ presence guides me.


The familiar phrase "Nobody's perfect!" may help me accept a human failing or setback and keep it in perspective. But in Truth, through grace, the correct phrase is actually "Everybody's perfect!"
There is a part of each and every creation that is perfect--the Christ presence within. This divine aspect of my being is ever- present. Before any activity or decision, and especially if I don't feel up to the task at hand, I turn within and call upon my inner strength and divine perfection.


The power and presence of the Christ within is always available to help me gracefully move through life. While it may seem at times that "nobody's perfect," all is perfect through the grace of God.

Each of us has the power to love and the ability to be patient and forgiving, no matter what is happening. Even in the appearance of turmoil and trouble, we can affirm: Peace, be still. We can still troubled waters with the power of our love.


As we go about our day, we express compassion wherever possible. As we pray, we see the divine good in our loved ones and we inspire others. Centered in the divine nature of our being and the oneness that we are, we are powerful. Our smallest acts combine with the actions of others to create a world at peace, a world that works for all.

I let go and let God free me for greater good.


If ever I feel caught up in a web of negative or repetitive circumstances, I do not lose hope in finding a solution. This is my opportunity to meet the challenge squarely and spiritually by turning to God, my powerful ally, for assistance.


I pause and redirect my attention away from the situation itself toward God within. This helps me reconnect with Spirit present within me and within all circumstances. I consciously let go of any anxious thoughts, and I feel the grip of negativity loosening.


I remain still in prayer and let God's presence raise my understanding so that I know the way forward. I let go and let God free me for greater good.

I am whole and well.


I have access to the healing power that Jesus demonstrated in His ministry. I proclaim my wholeness and elevate my consciousness to that of the Christ consciousness.


In Christ consciousness, there is no disease and no lack. Rather, there is only vibrant health and well-being. Whatever symptoms or prognoses may confront me, I meet them with faith and remain confident in the healing activity in each cell of my body.


In prayer, I am guided to the right course of treatment. I surround myself with positive friends and professionals. I achieve a sense of peace and well-being. Throughout the healing process, I deepen my Christ consciousness and I experience radiant wholeness.

God is my source of strength and comfort.

I experience the power of God's love during this time of inner, emotional healing, comforting me on the deepest level.


Divine love is my support, helping me put one foot in front of the other. I experience a sense of relief. My spirit lightens, and my heart fills with joy as I recall the people and situations that have helped me grow.


Honoring the past and embracing the future, I am grateful for my life's experiences and I accept new blessings to come.

Forgive


I choose to forgive, and I am at peace.


When I consider what I value in life, I realize the importance of inner peace. Jesus taught forgiveness throughout His ministry. He knew that peace cannot be expressed in an angry heart.


Whenever I feel resentment, I choose to forgive. I forgive myself, knowing that at any given time, I am doing the best I can. I immerse myself in love for myself and others, because love transforms every hurt. As I love and forgive, I feel my burdens lift.


I open myself to God's unconditional love and extend God's love to others. I accept forgiveness.


Peace is what I want, and forgiveness is the way. I accept what is and live in peace.

The light of God expresses perfectly as me and as you.


I love to be of help, but sometimes I may feel powerless to help a loved one who is going through a difficult challenge. In those times, the greatest gift I can give is to see the truth of who my dear one is, a perfect expression of the light of God.


In my prayers, I close my eyes to appearances and perceive with the faith that is within me. I see my loved one as an expression of perfect life that provides healing energy to the mind, body and soul. My beloved is open and receptive to the wisdom of God within, which whispers the answer to every question and provides the supply for every need.


This is the truth about my loved ones and me, and about every being on the planet.

In our unity of spirit, we share love, wisdom and understanding.
In the plant kingdom, individual plants connect to other members of their species through a complex root system. Together they form a community in which individuals support one another and thrive.


I think of my human family as an interconnected and inner-connected community that has its roots in the spirit of God. Because God is everywhere present, we are not separate from God, nor are we
separate from one another. In God's omnipresence, we are one.


We are blessed by the sharing of our love, wisdom, understanding and caring. As a worldwide community, we unite in taking action to create a world in which all live in peace and love.

I give thanks for the gifts of God.

I consider each breath a gift. So, too, are the beauty of the sky and the faces of those I love. I give thanks for all that sustains my physical being, including clean water, shelter and food. I am thankful for opportunities to give and receive love, connect with God and share what I have been given with others.

I trust in God.


There may be occasions in my life and in the lives of others when events make absolutely no sense to me. The loss of a job, an encounter with a serious illness, or some other aspect of my life may tempt me to cry out, "Why, God?"


In every instance, God has already established a divine plan that will carry me through to the other side of any challenge I may experience.


My mission is simply to seek out the good that lies at the heart of any adversity. God knows my right and perfect opportunity for employment, partnership, health and wholeness. My life is in the care of God, and I trust in divine order.

Through Christ in me, I live a meaningful and fulfilled life.

I consciously connect with the Christ and prepare to meet my good, to succeed and to prosper in my endeavors. Knowing Christ in me as my hope of glory, I live a meaningful and fulfilled life.

My heart's desire is to know God.


On occasion, I may have a desire to purchase something luxurious or indulge in a sweet treat. But I know my life is about more than seeking instant gratification. What I want most of all is to experience God more completely.


I don't concern myself with the occasional craving because understanding the desire of my heart is most important. In my relationships, I desire to find a genuine and meaningful connection with others. For my body and mind, I value strength, energy and good health.


God within me knows the true desire of my heart and what is needed for my soul's fulfillment.

Guidance
I trust the infinite wisdom of God to guide me.
I may be unsure about what I should do or which path to take in a particular situation. In moments like these, I pray and open my heart to the indwelling spirit of God. I am not alone, and I needn't worry.



In prayer, I relax, let go and trust. I leave the specifics on what comes next--the how or when--to God. I focus on the here and now and affirm: "This or something better, God." My task is to trust Spirit within to guide me. As I do, I feel peace. My heart and mind are strengthened.


I trust in God and know the outcome will be something better than I ever imagined for myself and my loved ones. Deep in my heart, I know that, truly, all is well.

My heart is at home in love.


If my life's journey calls for a move to a new location, it's comforting to know that God is always with me and within me. Though I may miss familiar people and places, I'm happy to meet new friends and explore new surroundings.


Wherever I go, I make myself at home by sharing the love in my heart. I am encouraged as I look for the best in every person and situation. I have faith that whatever I seek, I will find.


All things work together for my highest good. Even though I may be far from my former home, I relax and affirm that all is well right here and now. No matter where a relocation takes me, home is with me in my heart.

In Christ I am a new creation. I can do all things.



In Christ "there is a new creation." Many of us have overcome tremendous adversity: addiction, negative thinking, poverty. There may be aspects of our lives we still wish to transform. We see opportunities for growth and greater fulfillment. We have the potential to become completely new, vibrant human beings.


This is the day when I fully release the concept of lack or limitation from my consciousness. I accept with faith that Christ is my strength, health and spiritual guide. In Christ I am a new creation. I can do all things.


The path to recovery is mine to choose, and I embark upon this journey with a spirit of gratitude and joy in Christ.

I say "Yes!" to life.


Feelings of indecision or uncertainty may have stopped me in my tracks in the past. Now I see such times as opportunities to draw from inner resources to make the decisions that are right for me.
Setting an intention to open my mind to the gentle nudges of Spirit, I pause for a quiet moment of prayer. Through communion with God, I receive the guidance to say yes or no to the opportunities that come my way.


At times I will confidently say "yes!" to a richer, fuller experience of life. In other situations, I will confidently say "no" to circumstances that do not lead to my highest good.


With God's constant guidance, I am filled with assurance that whether my word is yes or no, I am taking the right action.

Life-giving energy flows throughout my body. I am renewed.


Divine energy flows in and through God's creations, renewing, restoring, uplifting. I see this energy in the exuberance of a child, in the beauty of a flower blossom and in the vibrant display of autumn's colors. I feel it in the warmth of the sun's rays, the freshness of a gentle breeze.


As I align my thoughts with life and wholeness, I feel divine energy in my own body as well. I am in the flow of life-giving energy, and it is in me. I praise my body and give thanks for its efficient and reliable functioning. It is God's beautiful expression of life. The divine energy that flows through all of creation flows through me. I have the support I need to succeed.

Whether I'm following an exercise program, learning a new skill or developing a savings plan, the creation process is a spiritual one. I rely on God for help, support and guidance. I trust the creative process, knowing that I have the strength, will and energy I need to succeed.

There is only one power in my life and in the universe, God the good.
I begin my day by affirming, "There is only one power in my life and in the universe, God the good." This affirmation helps me keep my focus on God and see God active in my life.


There may be times when people or conditions seem to have a certain power over me. But I remind myself that things only have the power I give them. Releasing any belief in the power of anyone or anything to take away my good, I return to my morning affirmation. There is only ONE power in my life and in those around me--and that power is God.


Centered in divine power, I am at peace. If there is an action I am to take to help restore my health, prosperity or harmony, I am receptive to the guidance and wisdom of the One Power, God the good.

I choose to express the song in my heart.


This God-given day is filled with opportunity. But how I experience the day is up to me. My experiences will reflect the song I choose to sing.
I can perceive my day as being like a broken record, filled with the same activities and expectations. If I expect nothing different, if I sing that same old song, that is what I will experience.
On the other hand, I can choose to create a day that expresses the unique song in my heart. This song is one of love for both myself and others. It is a song of anticipation and an affirmation of the good I perceive and create in the world and in myself.
Rejoicing in the life of God within and around me, I let my heart sing!

Today's Daily Word - Sunday, September 6, 2009
Inner Peace
I am one with God. I am one with infinite peace.
A sleeping infant is a picture of peace, a precious creation of God. We are all God's precious creations, designed with unlimited capacity to express peace.
In a difficult or unsettling time, I may become distracted, forgetting who I really am. If I am focused on worries or anxious about tomorrow, I may feel restless and uneasy.
Yet the indwelling peace of God has not left me. In a moment of prayer or meditation, I may return to my true nature. As I turn to the spirit of God within, I rediscover my inner strength and my innate center of peace.
As an expression of God, I find that I can be calm, serene and secure in every circumstance. I am one with infinite peace.
"Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you."--Philippians 4:9

I take time to replenish my mind, body and spirit.
Like plants that need sunshine and nutrients to flourish, I, too, need to replenish my mind, body and spirit. If my energy seems to fade or a healing challenge arises, I welcome the opportunity for physical and spiritual renewal.
In quiet time, I acknowledge God as the source of healing life. As I relax, my connection with the spirit of God within grows stronger. I visualize my cells and tissues expressing new energy and my entire being revitalized.
I come away from this time of reflection refreshed, giving thanks for the renewal of my mind, body and spirit.

see God's higher order unfolding in every situation.
As young children learn their alphabet and numbers, they become excited about what they've learned. They are joyful as they begin to understand more about the world around them and how it works.
I look forward to learning new ways of thinking and being that enrich my life. I look with childlike eyes at all that is happening and see God's higher order unfolding in every situation. I strive for deeper understanding based on Truth rather than appearances.
Like A-B-C and 1-2-3, I know that in all life's situations, divine order is operating. Today's challenges will lead to new meaning and purpose. I remain open and receptive to life's lessons, gaining a new level of understanding and awareness.

As a spiritual being, I am not defined by my work, but my work is an important aspect of my life's expression. Every service I provide is a service to God and to others. I live in integrity by fulfilling my commitments. God blesses me with all I need to complete my work and to be prosperous and fulfilled.
I am grateful for my employers and co-workers, for my customers and clients, and for anyone with whom I interact. Each is an expression of God in my life.
By giving and receiving joyfully in the workplace, I become a powerful expression of God in service to the world.

Prosperity
I accept the abundance of God flowing to me and through me now.
The biblical land flowing with milk and honey represents spiritual abundance and freedom. It portrays a life overflowing with blessings, a life full of divine potential.
The truth is that I am living in a "land flowing with milk and honey" right here and right now. There is a constant flow of good in my life. My prosperity includes the assurance that wholeness, wisdom and strength are mine. Knowing this, I am bold in spirit. I am aware of my own divine potential for living the life of my dreams.


I accept the abundance of God that is always flowing to me and through me. I give and receive joyously and gratefully.

I

Protected
God is all I need.


When we were children, we sometimes felt invincible. Nothing could stand in our way or harm us. Even if we did have a concern, we were quickly comforted by the embrace of a parent or other caring adult.
As adults, we may feel that those protective arms have fallen away. In such times of uncertainty, we can call on God's loving, sheltering presence.


The spirit of God is within us and goes before us. At any time, any one of us can "lean on the everlasting arms" and feel safe and secure.


We are children of God, always loved and supported.
"For the promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him."--Acts 2:39

Free

I am free to live a life of love, joy, and abundance.
A child's imagination has no limits, often surpassing the boundaries adults might have. Children gleefully imagine a polar bear flying in a space ship past a purple moon and on to faraway planets. They joyfully picture themselves as a dancer or scientist or president.
I, too, can exult in the power of imagination, no matter what my age. As a child of God, I can use this gift to create the life of my dreams.
I look beyond the appearance of any boundaries or limitations to claim the love, joy, and abundance that are mine to receive.

Let Go, Let God
I release, accept, and receive.


At times I may need to repeat an affirmation several times before it takes hold in mind and heart. For instance, I may have been carrying a heavy burden for days or weeks, and finally I understand: I've been trying to do this all on my own. I stop struggling and affirm: I let go and let God. I repeat this affirmation until I release all to God.


The One Power and Presence never lets me down. I release any worry or struggle and accept the comfort, inspiration, and abundance of God. I receive all that I need, and more.


I release, accept, and receive. With ease and grace, the gifts of God flow to me and through me to accomplish good.


"God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life."--Psalm 54:4

Pray for Others
I bless others in my thoughts and prayers.
Is someone I love struggling with a personal matter? If so, I take time to listen to him or her. Does someone I know need a helping hand? If so, I take action to help that person through a difficult time.
I not only support people in my life through my actions, but also in my prayers. Prayer is a direct channel to God, an open line to the love, abundance, wisdom, and guidance of God.


As I pray for others, I send them thoughts of peace and expect answered prayer. I see them guided through their challenges, prospered in their finances, healthy and well. Each moment I spend in prayer opens me to the goodness of God, the one source of all life, love, and strength.


"Honor your father and mother; also, You shall love your neighbor as yourself."--Matthew 19:19

Inner Peace


Centered in God, I experience absolute peace.
Storms may rage on the surface of an ocean, but deep below, the waters are calm. The fish know to stay in that peaceful place and let the storm pass.
In prayer each day, I choose to turn my thoughts to the peace of God within me. On the surface of my mind, the appearance of lack or conflict or fear may toss my thoughts about in worry. I gently release those thoughts and move my attention deeper, to a place of peace within me.
I take time for prayer throughout my day. As I rest in the stillness, I am serene--mind, body, and spirit. Each time I center myself in the peace of God, I experience absolute peace and tranquility.


"The promise of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all who take refuge in him."--Psalm 18:30

Through the healing activity of the Holy Spirit, I am renewed and energized.
A cozy bed, comfort foods, and long naps give me rest and renewal. Cheerful cards, phone calls, and flowers from loved ones brighten my day.


While I gratefully receive these blessings, I know that my true healing comes from within. Whatever challenge I may be facing, the indwelling Spirit is restoring me to health and wholeness.


Just as a lamp shines when connected to an electrical outlet, so my energy surges when I connect in consciousness to the One Source of life.
In thought and prayer, I align myself with the healing activity of the Holy Spirit, and I am renewed and energized.


"But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings."--Malachi 4:2

The all-knowing presence of God leads me to my highest good.
I may use maps and navigational aids to find my way as I travel. If I'm in an unfamiliar location and unsure of an address, I might ask directions.


In my journey of life, however, I don't have a road map, and no one has traveled my same path. Before I make a quick judgment or hasty decision, I turn within to the all-knowing presence of God.
In prayer, I open my mind and heart to divine guidance. Knowing that guidance may lead me in a direction I had not anticipated, I remain alert to the promptings of Spirit. I trust the unconditional love of God as I follow the divine guidance that leads me to my highest good.

Grace


Thank You, God, for Your grace.
Dear God, Your grace transforms my consciousness. In moments of contemplation and prayer, I feel Your presence within, and I am healed and whole. I open to wisdom and Your light shows me the way. I claim abundance and feel Your love supporting me.


Your grace blesses me abundantly and completely.
The people and situations I hold in prayer are being uplifted and transformed by Your loving, healing presence.


Thank You, God, for Your grace, which gently leads me through any time of uncertainty. I see beyond current circumstances and know that all is well.


"And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth."--John 1:14

Joy
I am joy in expression!


Life is fuller, richer, and more fun when I approach each day from the joy in my heart. The people I know and love bring me joy, but I can also choose to manifest happiness on my own.
My favorite pastime may be hiking in nature or strolling through city shops and streets. I may find one activity more enjoyable than the other, but I can still find joy in both. Even if I am doing mundane tasks--no matter what I choose to do--the joy I create comes from within.


So whether I'm at dinner with friends or stuck in traffic, I remember happiness is an inside job. As I appreciate everything in life, I am joy in expression!
"He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouts of joy."--Job 8:21

I am free to love--fully and generously.
Forgiveness may not always come easily. It may be difficult to let go of a past hurt or feelings of disappointment in myself or someone else. As I connect with the unconditional love and acceptance of God, I am ready to be forgiving and to move on with my life.


With God, I experience the transformational power of love in action. I find peace within conflict, growth where there had been stagnation, and compassion in place of anger or guilt.
God is with me in every moment and in every situation. As forgiveness frees my heart, mind, and spirit, I begin again to fully express love and acceptance for myself and others, just as we are.
"When he saw their faith, he said, 'Friend, your sins are forgiven you.'"--Luke 5:20

Self-expression
I am the one and only me.
I may not think of myself as a creative person, but I know that I have unique talents and skills to share.
For instance, art may appear on a canvas, or it may appear in a meal prepared with love. Some hands sculpt clay or play a musical instrument, and some gently hold the hand of a child. Wisdom can be found in books, but it can also be found in quiet conversation across the kitchen table.
I am creative in my own unique way. As I more fully express who I am, I bless others, and blessings flow back to me. I am creative, productive, and open to divine inspiration. I give my gifts to the world.
"Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the gifts bestowed on us by God."--1 Corinthians 2:12

Brilliance
I am confident and serene.
Polishing a beautiful gem, I bring forth its brilliance. As a layer of buildup is removed, the gem seems to shine from its own inner light.


I, too, have an inner light--the Christ light within, my hope of glory. This light shines through me to reveal the decision I am to make or action to take.
Whenever I need a clearer perspective of a situation, I rely on the light of the Christ within me. In prayer, I summon the Christ light to show me the way.


The clarity I receive eliminates any confusion or doubt, and I move forward with grace and ease.
"Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you."--Isaiah 60:1

I am one with God in all I do.
I align with divine order today by becoming still. I enter a special time of quiet in which I am only conscious of God's presence. I relax and allow every breath to take me deeper into my experience of God.
My mind is quiet. I listen. In the silence, ideas present themselves. They are ideas that reflect my soul's greatest desires for wisdom, health, abundance, and harmony.


My desires come from the wisdom of my soul, and they are mine to claim and to act upon. I affirm divine order throughout the day and know right outcomes will appear at the perfect time, in the perfect way. I put God first and experience being one with the One in all I do.
"The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits."-€“James 3:17

Let Go, Let God


New and wondrous joys await me.
If I hold on to negative expectations or doubt, I close myself off from fully realizing the goodness of God.
Conversely, when I expect the best, I make room for it in my life. This understanding allows me to let go of any negativity blocking my prospects for a fuller life.
In prayer, I express any concerns and release them to God. In the quiet, I receive new insights and greater understanding.
I allow my progress to continue by not taking back any of my old worries. I have let them go, and I trust God to guide me forward. Expecting only the best, I am prepared for and accept the new and wondrous joys that await me.


"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight."--Proverbs 3:5

Sacred Connection


We are beloved of God.
God's spirit is within me and every other person in the world. This is a sacred connection that we have with God and with one another.
I share a divine kinship with every man, woman, and child on the planet. I treat others with reverence and caring just as I would my own family. And I treat myself in the same caring way.
Kind thoughts and expressions of forgiveness, love, peace, and goodwill are shared by me and others. Those I pass on the street or in the workplace, and those who live in my home--we all share a common identity.
We recognize and treat one another as the beloved creations of God that we are.


"Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received."--1 Peter 4:10

Centered


I live in harmony with all Creation.
Keeping my life in balance gives me stability through life's twists and turns. So if I'm feeling down, I do something good for someone else, which naturally lifts my spirits.
If I feel a lack energy, I exercise, which calls forth power from a reservoir within me. I make and keep regular prayer or meditation appointments, ensuring that I have time alone with God each day.
The serenity I experience brings an inner and outer balance to my life. Connected to the good in me, I am in harmony with the good of all Creation.
Centering myself in God, the source of all life, brings life into perspective.


"Agree with God, and be at peace; in this way good will come to you."--Job 22:21

Shine


I shine the light of love and understanding.
Looking up at the night sky, I cannot count the multitude of stars, but the longer I look, the more I see. Each one is a beacon of light.
I, too, am a beacon of light, a light of love and understanding in the world. I may never know when my light is inspiring someone else along his or her way. I do know that as divine light shines through me, I radiate love and acceptance.
I feel joy as I consider that I am brought to each situation in my life for a purpose. It is up to me to let my light shine brightly, and I do, for I am expressing the divine light that illumines my soul.


"I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth."--Isaiah 49:6

Grace


Grace inspires me to bless others.
Grace manifests as a continual flow of good into my life. I look for blessings, and whenever a surprise blessing causes me to smile, I know that it is the activity of grace.
Spirit brings me good and only good. In every situation, I know that divine guidance and grace will see me through.
Aware of Spirit's constant, steadying presence, I retain a bright outlook on life. My positive energy emanates from within me as a word of assurance or a helpful hand, letting others know I care. My loving thoughts and prayers touch others.
Grace inspires me to bless others, and blessings return to me greatly multiplied.


"According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it."--1 Corinthians 3:10

My Mission


I am an expression of God's love.
During my lifetime, I have the opportunity to explore many paths. I may fulfill several roles in my family; I may have different careers. I may be guided to pursue education or to travel to far-off lands.
Wherever I am and whatever I do, I remember that my true mission is to express God's love in the world.
I am an instrument of peace in times of conflict, beholding each person as a child of God. I am a channel for good as I share my blessings with others. In fulfilling my mission, I provide comfort and strength to those who may be struggling.
In simple ways every day, I am an expression of God's love, touching lives and making a difference.

Renewal

I am eternally revealing more of my inner perfection as a radiant child of God. The passing of years has no power to lessen this perfection. Each year lends new meaning to my unfoldment.
I am a radiant child of God. I approach each day with a fresh outlook. My interest in life is quickened. With renewed vigor I participate lovingly and enthusiastically in the activities that offer the greatest opportunities for me to express my talents and abilities.
I am a radiant child of God eternally unfolding more of the perfection of my indwelling Lord.

Joy


My joy is complete through my connection with God.
I am a joyful child of God. On this day and every day, joy fills my heart and overflows into my conversations, work, and activities.
No person or circumstance can take away my happiness unless I let them. Joy is always accessible to me through the indwelling spirit of God.
In my daily spiritual practice, I release any cares or concerns. Connected in mind and heart with God, I then relax into a peaceful state of being.
From this place of calm, joy arises, and I know that all is well. I have the energy to go forth to do what I need to do.
Spirit invigorates me, and my joy is boundless.


"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?"--1 Corinthians 3:16

Emerge


I am embracing a new way of life.
I am ready to move beyond any shadow from my past. I don't let who I have been interfere with who I am becoming. I feel the excitement from accepting that I am ready to begin a new way of life.
I start by knowing that God is with me every step of the way. I pray for guidance, I listen for divine ideas, and I act on them with confidence.
I expect good to come to me and through me. I give and receive each blessing with gratitude.
Encouraged by the spirit of God within me, I embrace the possibilities ahead and move into a new way of living.


"And he said to the man who had the withered hand, 'Come forward.' ... 'Stretch out your hand.' He stretched it out, and his hand was restored."--Mark 3:3, 5

Inner Peace


I feel the peace of Spirit in this moment.
I take a few moments of rest from all activities--from thinking and talking, looking and doing--and become still. I let go of any expectations of what I should feel or do. The less I focus on myself and my surroundings, the more at peace I am.
As I maintain awareness of the present moment, there are no concerns to distract me, no disruptions to my time alone with God. I rest in the silence. Serenity washes over me, relaxing the muscles in my body. All tension is released.
The peace I experience in the quiet of this sacred moment brings respite and renewal, for great strength flows from the peace of God within.


"The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace."--Numbers 6:26

Guidance


Divine light illumines my way.
Perhaps I am at a crossroads in life: If I go straight ahead, life continues much as it has been. If I turn to the right or left, I find a totally new adventure.
Whether I stay with the familiar or open to change, I will always be guided to my good as I follow the way illumined by divine light. With this guidance, I have nothing to fear. My clear thinking prepares me for the unexpected and the anticipated.
I understand by intuition. I know what feels right for me at the time. And it's okay if there are surprises along the way. I am flexible and strong in spirit.
I am blessed by the beauty and majesty of Creation that divine light reveals as I follow the illumined path that is before me.

Prosperity


I live an abundant life and claim my good now.
If I want more abundance in my life, I need to ask myself: What kind of prosperity do I seek?
Prosperity is more than money. It is also well-being, loving relationships, and an awareness that I am a blessing in my home, workplace, and community.
All that God provides is available to me, for I am God's beloved child. I trust in God. I accept in mind, heart, and soul that I am worthy of God's abundant good in ever-increasing ways.
Wisdom flows through me as divine ideas that lead me to greater expressions of prosperity. I claim my good now. Blessed with health, love, and a sense of purpose, I live an abundant life.


"In him we live and move and have our being."--Acts 17:28

Harmony


I live in harmony and peace.
A candle radiates light from the center of its flame. In the same way, the love of God glows from within me and radiates to the people around me.
As an expression of divine love, I respond to others with compassion. I welcome opportunities to share kind words, to act in thoughtful ways, and to show consideration for each person in my life.
As I bring harmony and understanding to my relationships, I am fulfilled, because I am serving a greater good. I am a channel of God's love and an ambassador of peace.
With the love of God to guide me, I live and work harmoniously with all whose lives I touch.


"Agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you."--2 Corinthians 13:11

Forgive


I forgive myself and others.
If ever I am disheartened by my own missteps or careless words, I renew myself emotionally and spiritually through prayer. Opening to God's grace, I affirm: God loves me unconditionally.
The more loving and gentle I am with myself, the more I am loving and gentle toward others. As I understand myself at a deeper level, I am more compassionate. Each day, I am given countless opportunities to gain wisdom, to share compassion, and to convey acceptance. And I do.
With a fresh and positive outlook, it is easier for me to extend forgiveness to myself and others. I accept God's love and know that I am whole and worthy just as I am.


"Let us know, let us press on to know the Lord; his appearing is as sure as the dawn."--Hosea 6:3

Faith


I am living in faith.
My faith stays with me throughout my day. Each meeting or encounter is a divine appointment. I am where I am meant to be to give and receive a blessing.
During the day, I may be a student, at other times a teacher, but always I am learning. As I connect with others, I focus on whatever benefits us mutually.
I may just "happen" to meet someone and learn of an opportunity that is perfect for me. Or in conversation, I may share information that is just what someone needed to hear.
Keeping my divine appointments each day, I am receptive to the myriad ways God works through people and circumstances to bless me. I am living in faith.


"Beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God."--Jude 1:20-21

Comfort


God is my strength and my comfort.
On any given day, I may face a challenge. Some challenges, such as forgetting my wallet or having a flat tire, are quickly resolved. Others, such as the loss of someone special or a sudden change in my life's circumstances, take more time and strength. Whether I'm facing a small difficulty or a tougher one, the peace of God is my comfort.
I am comforted as I find a quiet place and close my eyes. I remind myself that I am God's beloved. Releasing all concern, I relax into the presence of absolute peace. Receiving the love of my Creator, I give thanks for the grace it brings.
God is my strength and my comfort.


"Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; ... For the Lord has comforted his people."--Isaiah 49:13

Right Time


I trust God for the answer to my prayer.
What can I do when I feel frustrated that something I want to happen is delayed or shows no sign of coming about? I take time for prayer.
Prayer is my quiet time, the time when I relax, breathe deeply, and open myself to divine inspiration. Through prayer, I prepare myself to be divinely guided in all ways.
If at any time during the day or night I begin to feel anxious or concerned, I take a God-moment and pray. As I do, I become peaceful and calm. Right now, in this moment, my attention is on what is true for me at all times: I am one with God.
Although the answer to my prayer may not be apparent right now, my faith assures me that it will become clear to me.


"But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."--Romans 8:25

Love


We are one in the love of God.
Love creates a circle of strength linking us with our family, friends, and mentors.
At the center of every circle of love is the presence of God, for God is love. As we unite with one another in times of celebration and in times of crisis, we are strengthened by the love of Spirit.
Love soothes the mind and heals the heart. Pure love knows no bounds or limitations. It can be shared and felt by people in the same room or separated by miles. The more love is shared, the more it grows. We invite others into our circle of love to be blessed and be a blessing, to give and to receive, to heal and be healed.


"O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever."--1 Chronicles 16:34

All Is Well


Wherever I am, God is, and all is well.
As surely as light follows the dark of night, I awake to the day knowing in my heart and soul that all is well.
If at any time today the order and harmony of some aspects of my life seem uncertain, I clear my mind of all concern. There is no need to worry. Just as season follows season, wave follows wave, and sunrise follows sunset, all is well.
I honor myself for the perfection that I am as one of God's creations. I know that I am in the right place at the right time. All that I do today and every day is blessed with God's goodness.
With gratitude, I affirm: Wherever I am, God is, and all is well.

World Peace


We are peacemakers, expressing God's love in the world.
Long ago, a man called Johnny Appleseed roamed the wilderness of early America, sowing seeds that grew into apple trees that nourished a young nation. His gentle and kind nature, his generosity and vision, influenced generations.
In our day-to-day contacts with others, we also sow seeds--seeds of love, peace, and understanding. Centering ourselves in God's loving presence, we become ambassadors of peace as we move through the activities of our day.
As we share and express love to others, we spread peace in the world. By demonstrating compassion, wisdom, and understanding, we sow the seeds of peace wherever we go, with whomever we meet.


"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."--Matthew 5:9

Today's Word


I am free in mind, body, and spirit!
The freedom to travel and move about from area to area, country to country, does come with some rules and restrictions. Sometimes, too, delays happen, schedules change, and other routes and means of travel must be taken.
Spiritual freedom, however, has no limits. I can choose how I fill my heart and my mind. I can choose how I experience God, how I pray, and how I practice the presence of God in my daily life.
Embracing freedom of Spirit, I break through any self-imposed limitations and open myself to divine possibility. By choosing encouraging words, uplifting thoughts, and positive habits, I give full expression to my spiritual freedom.


"For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters."--Galatians 5:13

Stretch Free


I am awake to my infinite potential.
If I'm presented with an opportunity that seems too difficult, I remind myself that God is within me and nothing is too difficult for God. This truth awakens me to my infinite potential.
Reaching beyond any doubt or fear, I stretch my capacity to grow into my true potential. As a spiritual being, I am powerful, capable, and unlimited. I have infinite capabilities.
Eager to be all I can be, I accept both the challenges and opportunities that arise. I can do whatever is needed as I follow divine guidance and direction.
I rejoice that, in God, I have everything I need to soar to new heights.


"Speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ."--Ephesians 4:15

God in Me


God in me is my light and my understanding.
In order to grow in spiritual understanding, I must first realize that I have the capacity for it. I am a manifestation of God, and in God's likeness, I am all-wise and all-knowing.
To believe in the presence of God as Divine Mind in me is to identify myself with all light and knowledge.
Beginning today, I rise out of the belief that by nature I am limited in understanding. At all times, I think of myself as capable of knowing all truth. I learn to rely upon the light of God within to make clear whatever I desire to know.

Miracles


I am a miracle of life!
Martha Smock, former editor of Daily Word wrote: "To live, to breathe, to think, to love--these are miracles enough to justify our existence."
I may find it easier to think this or say it about another person than I would about myself. However, for a moment, I say it as if it were true: "I am a miracle of life." Next I repeat it with boldness and clarity, knowing it is true: "I AM A MIRACLE OF LIFE!"
How good this feels. How true this is, for everyone God created is a miracle of life. Each child of God has never before existed and will never again be duplicated.
All life is a miracle. Knowing this truth fills me with the energy of Spirit. Energized, I go about living as the miracle of life that I am.


"But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."--Luke 12:31-32 (KJV)

Expect Good


Divine energy is bringing about wonder in my life and in the world.
What are my expectations of this day, of any day? I expect the best and cooperate with its unfoldment.
I know that the spirit of God within me is greater than any challenge I could ever face. The life of God within me is a pattern of perfection that guides the activities of every cell and atom of my body. The wisdom of God is expressing as divine ideas that fill my mind. I act on them with gratitude and enthusiasm.
Every condition in life yields to the greatness of God that is in all and expressing through all. I expect the best from myself and others. I cooperate in loving, thoughtful ways with the divine energy that is bringing about wonder in my own life and the lives of those in my world.


"Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."--1 John 4:4

Healing


With a growing awareness of Spirit within, I claim health and well-being.
Saying yes to life and yes to healing, I claim health and wholeness now. As I keep my thoughts about my total well-being held high, I continue to affirm life.
Knowing that the spirit of God permeates every organ, cell, and atom of my body, I hold a vision of myself as energetic and strong. I am aware that the healing presence of God is moving throughout my body; and because this is true, I am healthy and whole.
Being health-minded, I continually turn in thought and expectation to the perfect, free-flowing life of Spirit within me. I give thanks for the awareness of this healing presence, which uplifts me in every way.
I know that God is life. Divine power and presence are within me, and with God all good is possible.


"Your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly."--Isaiah 58:8

Harmony


I partner with others in living and working harmoniously.
A group of dedicated musicians are partners in producing beautiful harmony that touches the depths of the soul. Yet it is also possible for any one of them to play discordant, irritating notes.
Concerning my own life, I may think that an individual in my family, workplace, or classroom is discordant and even irritating when relating to me or others.
I discover, however, that as I follow divine insight and make a commitment to act harmoniously, I can be a positive influence. Then together we can produce synergy and compatibility for wondrous new results at work and at play. We are partners in harmony.


"The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; I have a goodly heritage. I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me."--Psalm 16:6-7

How Am I?


I am abundantly blessed and fulfilled.
Incidents of talking to oneself are often the subjects of humorous stories. However, as I confirm in meditation where I am in my life plan, I ask myself, How am I? I run through my checklist: Are my plans God-inspired? Do I feel deep in my soul that my choices are right for me? Paying attention to what brings me joy can reveal volumes about my right actions and perfect calling. Supportive affirmations keep me focused:
I am making progress toward my God-inspired goals each day.
I choose divinely guided steps to pursue my perfect calling.
I claim a fulfilling life for myself at home, at work, and in my community.
My words and actions make a difference.
How am I? More than fine! I am blessed!


"Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more eager to confirm your call and election, for if you do this, you will never stumble."--2 Peter 1:10

Comfort


I envision you whole and well, blessed with an abundant life.
Being separated from family and friends can be distressing--especially when they are going through a trying time. Although I cannot be with them in person, I offer them my love and support.
"Know that I am holding your hand today --in thought and prayer. Even though we may be apart, we share a vital heart connection. Inspired by endearing memories, I think of you always with tenderness.
"I envision you whole and well, sustained by healing thoughts, releasing all concern into God's care. I pray that your heart is filled with peace; your soul, with comfort; and your life, with abundance of every kind."


"Then you will walk on your way securely and your foot will not stumble. If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet."--Proverbs 3:23-24

Faith


With faith in God, I have true security.
Gardeners and farmers have nurtured tender shoots in their care with a love for nature and the promise of future bounty. These acts of nurturing are expressions of faith that are now showing forth in an array of shapes, colors, textures, and scents of flowers and plants.
I lovingly nurture my faith in prayerful moments. Quiet moments with God allow me to express heartfelt desires. I relax and trust that blessings are unfolding in perfect time.
Those who tend to plants experience moments when they, too, feel the assurance that, for a time, they can relax and await the next step in the process that is unfolding. I, too, relax. My faith grows stronger, and I feel more secure each day.


" 'You have faith and I have works.' Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. You believe that God is one; you do well."--James 2:18-19

Blessing Fathers


God bless fathers and guide them in loving and caring for children.
Children learn so much from simply observing their own fathers and those who serve as father-figures.
As they allow children to satisfy their own curiosities and explore their own potential, fathers know when it is time to patiently, prayerfully watch children and when to step forward to be of help.
Fathers need prayer support, and I offer mine to my own father, the fathers of the world, and to those who are even now preparing to be fathers. The love of God is being expressed by each of them.
What they give day after day is an investment in a world in which all children have an opportunity to exceed their own high hopes and expectations and those of loving, caring parents and adults.


"Immediately the father of the child cried out, 'I believe; help my unbelief!' ... 'This kind can come out only through prayer.'"--Mark 9:24, 29

Protected


God is my peace, my shield, my protector.
If ever I feel apprehensive or unsure about anything, my first response will be to pray, placing myself and all that concerns me in God's care and guidance. In prayer, I rest in the comforting presence of God.
With God as my ever-present guide, I do not fear anything or anyone. I am serene and confident because God is with me. I am never alone. This God-awareness brings me true peace and comfort.
God is all-power. In the quiet of prayer, I am enfolded in the peace that this understanding gives me. I have the strength and clarity of thought that I need to recognize and accept what is peaceful, right, and good.
I am protected and blessed in all I do and with all I meet in life. God is my peace, my shield, and my protector.


"But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head."--Psalm 3:3

Free


I welcome new beginnings.
I am free! Within this new day, I find a release from every old pattern, thought, or behavior that no longer serves me.
As a creation of a loving Creator, I welcome new beginnings, which are new chapters in my own story of life. My faith in God's ever-present guidance is constant. And I go forward confident in my insights, my choices, and my actions.
Divine guidance provides me with the motivation to give expression to the divine qualities within me. With love and respect, I make decisions about my own life and the lives of those in my care. Goodness abounds, and I celebrate my freedom to begin anew.


"You must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love."--2 Peter 1:5-7

Change


I cross every bridge to change with faith and confidence.
As I complete one phase of my life, I make ready for the next one. I may be changing from a role as a student to one of being an employee. I may be taking on the added responsibility of owning my own home. I may no longer choose the single life and commit to a lifelong partner.
Whatever change I embark on, I build a bridge to my new experience. With planning, insight, and prayer, I trust as I step forward to change.
Prayerful reflection is a spiritual component to my bridge of change. I know what is mine to do because God's love and wisdom are guiding me.
With faith and confidence, I trust that there is a time and a season for each change. Following divine guidance, I am secure as I cross each bridge to my next destination.


"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven."--Ecclesiastes 3:1

My Break


In this very moment, I claim my health and wholeness.
Taking a break from the activities of the day, I am renewed with energy. In a quiet, reflective time, I am stress-free and prepared for God's healing power within to build up my stamina.
I sustain my health and energy by taking several breaks during the day from whatever is happening in the outer. Whether for a few minutes in the midst of planning or carrying out plans, or for a few weeks between semesters, job searches, or life-changing moments--I take time to focus on and discern what is best for me. Such times for regeneration support the health of every cell and function of my body.
During meditative prayer, concerns dissipate, answers come, and healing flows freely.


"Because you have asked ... for yourself understanding to discern what is right, I now do according to your word. Indeed I give you a wise and discerning mind."--1 Kings 3:11-12

Pray for Others


I am blessed as I reach out in heart and soul to others.
Sometimes the challenges I meet in life are more easily overcome when I turn my attention to the needs of family and friends. I pray for them from a heart of love.
During my quiet time with God, I consider the challenges faced by people throughout the world. I pray that all are well fed, clothed, and sheltered from the weather. I pray that every child has an opportunity to obtain an education and that every adult who is thirsting for knowledge has that longing satisfied. I pray for everyone who has lost a loved one and for those who are serving far from home.
I pray for others, and I also do my very best to help them. The world is indeed a better place because of prayer and acts of kindness. I am blessed as I reach out--heart and soul, thought and action--to others.


"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone."--1 Timothy 2:1

More


God is my wisdom and my strength.
I may have felt an inner urging for something more in life but had not been able to identify what that "more" was until now. I have discovered that it is a calling from within to experience the presence of God more fully.
I am both physical and spiritual. Knowing this, I do not look to the outer world for the satisfaction of my soul. God alone satisfies my soul, and when I fill my consciousness with an awareness of God, I know that I am whole and complete.
I am fulfilled through my daily communion with God. I am not a person who is wanting or needy. I am not beseeching or demanding. All-power is at work within me and through me--a wonder to behold. God is my wisdom and my strength, and I am capable of doing more and being more in every moment.


"Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine."--Ephesians 3:20

World Peace


United in the love of God, we live in peace.
Jesus spoke about the inter-connectedness of all humankind through Spirit when he said, "On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you."
One of my greatest desires is to live in a compassionate, understanding, and kind world. I do my part to help create such a world by adopting those qualities in all of my interactions with others.
As I smile at a stranger or offer assistance to someone, I am contributing to a world of peace. On a broader scale, I show respect for the people of other nations and cultures, knowing that we all share planet earth as the home God created for us--a home in which we live together in peace and love.
I love my neighbors. I add to the global consciousness of peace, affirming: United in the love of God, we live in peace.


"We have patrolled the earth, and lo, the whole earth remains at peace."--Zechariah 1:11

Let Go, Let God


I move forward in a life of freedom, health, and prosperity.
I wouldn't get far driving a car while the emergency brake was on. Neither would I reach my goals or dreams if I didn't release the brakes on them.
I choose to move forward with my goals and dreams, releasing any belief in poverty or powerlessness that might be adversely affecting my thoughts, words, and actions.
If my desire is to improve my health, I let go of any doubt that I can be completely healthy. Wholeness is my divine heritage.
Rather than straining for results, I let God transform my understanding so that I move forward in a life of freedom, health, and prosperity. As I release and make room for my highest good, I am able to fully appreciate and experience life.


"Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people's way." --Isaiah 57:14

Forgive


I forgive and experience joy--now!
When someone says or does something that hurts my feelings, my first thought may not be about forgiving this person. However, the longer I hang on to negative feelings, the more I punish myself.
Mounting evidence indicates that holding on to grudges, resentments, or thoughts of revenge often leads to health problems. So I forgive past transgressions and live a healthier life now.
My emotions vastly improve as I forgive. With a willingness to forgive others, I also forgive myself. When I am able to completely overcome past hurts, I enjoy life in the present moment. My load is much lighter. This is a holy experience, as a proverb makes clear: "Where there is forgiveness, there is God."
I forgive and experience joy--now!


"And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."--Matthew 6:12

By Example


I lead, and I am led by example.
We may not always be aware that little ones are paying attention to us, learning how to love, care, and trust. Our acts of kindness toward children are gifts from our hearts. Praying with children demonstrates our faith and an expectation of good.
And often, it is the children within our midst who lead us by example. Children know without question that God answers every prayer.
Children see majesty in even the most minute elements of the world: the varieties and aromas of flowers, the colors in a rainbow, the splendor of a sunrise.
As adults we lead by example. Let us also take the time to let our children be our teachers and guides.


"Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith."--Hebrews 13:7

Divine Order


Divine order is bringing about the best outcome now.
What is the most positive, effective action I can take when circumstances seem beyond my control? I pray.
Prayer soothes me so that I release tension in my body and anxiety in my thoughts. I relax and trust God--the source of all wisdom. Opening my heart to God, I also open myself to divine order and the positive actions and outcomes that will benefit me and anyone else involved in the situation.
God is all-knowing. I realize that there is a greater plan for me and for the world than I can conceive with my limited perspective. Knowing this relieves me of any anxiety I may have had about what the results will be.
I am grateful that divine order is in my life and in the world.


"I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground."--Isaiah 42:16

New Me


Expressing my divine qualities, I am creative and innovative.
There may be times when even the thought of starting over exhausts me. Having to reinvent myself can leave me feeling overwhelmed.
However, with my thoughts focused on being the new me now, I avoid pulling up negative images of the past. I realize I do have a foundation to build my future on.
There are certain life events that could launch a new vision for me. I don't need to wait for a particular time or experience to begin a new venture. I can be the new me at any time.
I begin now to create with fresh innovation and to revise or reframe my goals, values, and intentions. With God, I am guided to live in the present moment as a spiritual being expressing divine qualities. I celebrate my transformation to the new me!


"Now begin the work, and the Lord be with you."--1 Chronicles 22:16

Inner Peace


Trusting God in all ways, I have peace of mind and heart.
If concern and doubt seem to be getting in the way of my realizing peace of mind and heart, I enter into a time of silence and reconnect to the peace of God within me.
I begin by repeating a scripture: "Be still, and know that I am God." I am still, tuning out all sights and sounds in the outer. I take a deep breath and affirm: Trusting in You, God, I am at peace.
I stay with this thought, allowing peace to rise to my heart center. I then immerse my thoughts in peace. Mind and heart, body and emotions all align in peace. I experience a peace that is more powerful than any challenge or concern.
Inner peace is from God and is eternally within me and blessing me.


"Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock."--Isaiah 26:4

Together


Beholding each other, we see the perfection of Christ Love.
Though united by love, we are separate, unique individuals. We honor our connection--a union without end. Our souls are linked by like values, respect for each other, and a vision of what our future can be.
Christ Love is perfection that is within each of us and shared between us.
We may say we are different,
individual, or single;
But watch what happens
when our energies mingle.
Ideas and results merge and multiply
more than we could do singly
as "you" or as "I."
Oh, the wonderful, marvelous
things that can be,
When the perfection in us
is, with love, what we see.

My Investment


With an attitude of gratitude, I attract good to me.
What am I choosing to invest my time, my heart, my strength, my soul in today? I give from the inner resources of Spirit in all that I think, speak, and do.
Giving expression to my inner divinity enhances me in every way. Tuning out the world and tuning in to God, I am rich with divine ideas for success--financially, physically, and mentally.
Amazingly, as I give with no thought of return, I receive even more abundantly. My attitude of gratitude is a magnet that attracts good to me. Each act of giving increases my awareness that I have even more to give. I am unlimited in the ways and means that I can contribute to my own well-being and the good of others.


"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back."--Luke 6:38

Joy


I am joyous, radiant, and fulfilled.
There is joy in activity and in stillness, in sharing time with others and in being alone, in times of calm and adventure. Joy is not dependent on something outside myself; joy comes from within.
No matter what tasks I have before me, who I am with, or where I happen to be, joy is within my soul. It springs up from the very depths of my being, from the presence of the indwelling Christ. This joy is peaceful, loving, and fulfilling.
As an inner quality that is part of my nature, joy is waiting to be expressed by me at any time, in any situation. All that is required is my participation. So I activate my inner joy by loving and by living with anticipation, wonder, and appreciation. I am joyous, radiant, and fulfilled.


"This day is holy to our Lord; and do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."--Nehemiah 8:10

Prosperity


I follow the path of my divine purpose and live a prosperous life.
I keep my focus on fulfilling my divine purpose of being the best Christ in expression that I know how to be at any time--and all the time.
Because I do, I have no doubt that I'm on the right path. I see the amazing results--spiritually and materially, emotionally and physically.
I keep on track by praying along my way, remaining open to divine direction and being willing to share from an abundance of good with others.
I pay attention to the still small voice within me. This divine guidance directs me around obstacles and to all that enriches me and my loved ones. I both give and receive in a circulation of good that is continually blessing the world.


"We are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life."--Ephesians 2:10

I Can


I am able to do all things through God's spirit within me.
I believe that with God all things are possible and that God is expressing divine qualities through me.
With this faith-inspired understanding, I live life with a whole new meaning. I am willing to do whatever Spirit directs me to do, and I do it with enthusiasm.
God is the life that invigorates and animates me.
God is wisdom that reveals the wonder of the simple and the complex concerning all aspects of daily living.
God is peace that restores my soul so that I can live fully in each moment--not in the past or the future.
God is all. There is nothing lacking in me because God created me with a pattern of perfection within.


"Jesus said to him, 'If you are able!--All things can be done for the one who believes.'"--Mark 9:23

Breathe


Each breath of life renews and energizes me.
I become centered now, completely at ease and comfortable with myself and with being myself.
With each breath I take in, I feel more at peace. A calm comes over me as I affirm with ease and assurance: I am in the presence of God now and always.
As I exhale, I remember moments of experiencing great relief emotionally and physically. There may have been times when I sighed "Thank You, God!" With that fullness of release, I now exhale. I release all concerns, knowing I am turning all over to God.
Each breath I take rejuvenates me, nourishing me with strength and resilience. As I breathe in rhythm with God-life, I am renewed and energized.


"Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being."--Genesis 2:7

Enthusiasm


I am enthusiastic about life!
Centering myself in daily prayer, I develop a spiritually enthusiastic nature that shows up consistently in all that I do.
The indwelling spirit of God inspires me to act with a confidence that is infused with exuberance. I am guided in how I can serve others and how I can make meaningful differences in my world.
Rising above any thoughts of lethargy or procrastination, I embrace projects and processes with creativity and energy. I act on and share divine ideas.
Throughout my day, I greet others with genuine enthusiasm. My affirmative thoughts motivate me, and my thoughtful actions encourage those around me to move forward in a positive direction.
All manner of accomplishments are realized effortlessly--and with enthusiasm!


"Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord."--Romans 12:11

Appreciate


Thank You, God, for an abundant life.
Gratitude brightens any day. So today I am on a personal mission to brighten my world with appreciation to God. For all I've been given and for everyone and every situation that has shaped the life I am blessed to live, I offer my gratefulness.
Coming from the heart, I put my love into words of appreciation for my family, friends, and associates, and to those who pass through my day only briefly. I let them all know that I recognize their unique contributions, their efforts, and the gifts they share.
I say silent thank-yous to Spirit throughout the day for blessings and opportunities. With each acknowledgement, I grow in awareness of God as my source of abundance.
My life is full and complete through divine direction, order, and harmony. Thank You, God, for an abundant life.


"Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!"--2 Corinthians 9:15

Harmony


I am Christ harmony in expression wherever I am.
Any time that discord surfaces in my relationships at home or at work, I pause for a time of reflection. I consider past observances of harmony among people, such as individual athletes of a team and musicians in an orchestra.
As athletes cooperate with one another, they become a winning team. Musicians in a symphony achieve perfect harmony by being attuned to one another.
I recognize that achieving harmony in my relationships takes cooperation and commitment. I have all I need to be a presence of harmony wherever I am through the Christ Spirit within. Following divine guidance, I am blessed. I bless those in my home and at work, those I interact with in person and at a distance. I am Christ harmony in expression.


"As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience."--Colossians 3:12

Grace


I am filled with the joy of God's amazing grace.
When I spend a few moments reflecting on God's amazing grace, I am filled with joy. Grace is divine love given to me in any and all circumstances, now and forever. Grace assures me that I am always in God's presence.
I rejoice in the knowledge that I am a child of God. I am therefore loved unconditionally. Knowing this gives me strength even in the most difficult of times.
Perhaps I experienced a time in my life when I prayed for guidance for myself and a friend or family member because we needed direction on life's curving pathways. As we aligned ourselves with the truth of God's grace, all things were possible for us
How blessed I am by amazing grace, flowing within, from, and around me each and every moment of my life.


"Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."--1 Corinthians 1:3

Pass It On


I am blessed as I give freely of myself and what I have.
The phrase "return the favor" reminds me to not only accept a kindness with gratitude, but also to give back just as generously.
Yet I don't wait for someone to extend a courtesy to me before I reach out to others. In sharing an idea, helping a family member, or assisting a coworker, I give freely of myself, and in doing so I am blessed. In my community, I give back, knowing that many people have come before me, paving the way. In prayer, I take time to express my gratitude to God.
Whether I give to others something intangible, such as a compliment, or pass along a cherished possession, such as an heirloom, I experience joy and love. In spreading the wealth and passing it on, I make room in the world for true prosperity and abundance.


"It is more blessed to give than to receive."--Acts 20:35

Forgive
I forgive and enter into a new, positive way of life.
I experience feelings of both relief and empowerment as I forgive. Forgiveness is truly the first step to moving past the reliving of past hurts and regrets. A great weight of negativity is lifted from me, and I have room for uplifting, constructive energy. I take on a positive role in my own life, in my community, and in my world.
This is a new way of life in which I cherish each miraculous creation of God, treating all with care and appreciation. I experience not only contentment (happiness for the moment), but even better, I have an everlasting joy--the knowledge that I am participating in God's circle of unconditional love for all humankind.
As I forgive, I give myself the blessing of being free to live a life of fulfillment.


"Then hear in heaven your dwelling place, forgive, act, and render to all whose hearts you know--according to all their ways."--1 Kings 8:39

Comfort
The spirit of God is peace that soothes my heart.
In honor of those who have gone before me, I dedicate a portion of this day to their memory. Reflecting on their strength of spirit, love, and courage, I continue to be inspired by their lives and to learn by their examples. They contributed to the lives of those around them in unique and meaningful ways.
These dear ones have left an enduring impression on my heart and mind. I am blessed each time I have the opportunity to share a memory about them or follow a bit of wisdom they passed on to me.
As my abiding comforter, the spirit of God brings peace to my heart. At peace about my loved ones, I honor them with my memories and my love.


"Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out from their distress; he made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed."--Psalm 107:28-29

Christ Light
I am energized and ready to take on the day.
The light of Christ shines within me, revealing that every challenge is an opportunity for me to give expression to divine wisdom that is at the core of my being.
Conscious of the spirit of Christ within, I leave all the challenges and concerns that appear during a day with that day. I begin each morning anew, energized and ready to take on the day.
To maintain the momentum, I place any concern or apprehension that surfaces into the light of Christ. I affirm: Christ in me is more powerful than any appearance of a challenge to my mind and body.
My thinking is clear. My conversations are meaningful. My body is energized. I am confident and courageous.


"For it is the God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,' who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."--2 Corinthians 4:6

Spiritually centered, I follow through on a divine plan.
I may feel complete in heart and mind as I reflect upon my past. However, Spirit within encourages me to look forward.
Spiritually centered, I do not base my expectations upon the past--what happened, who I was with, what I did or said. Memories can provide inspiration or insight, but I do not allow them to restrict me.
In prayerful meditation, I receive new revelations of divine inspiration. I see past old limitations. I recognize that I have resources, strength, and insight. My comprehension expands beyond what I would have usually considered.
Infused with new ideas and energy, I am spiritually centered. Aligned with Spirit, I follow through on a divine plan.


"I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?"--Isaiah 43:19

Protected
Safe and secure in God's presence, I live each day to the fullest.
Whether my loved ones and I are together or in different locations around the world, we are one in Spirit. Omnipresent God guides our steps, directs our way, and brings us safely back together.
As the time for summer vacations approaches, I keep my thoughts positive and affirm that all who travel will safely reach their destinations. I see each one gently enfolded in God's loving care. I pray for children who are out of school for the summer and for those attending summer classes.
I meet each day with confidence and in anticipation of good. Safe and secure in God's presence, I live each day to the fullest.


"Like birds hovering overhead, so the Lord of hosts will protect Jerusalem; he will protect and deliver it, he will spare and rescue it."--Isaiah 31:5

Free
I am free to dream and to accomplish my dreams.
My physical freedom is precious to me. I treasure the ability to come and go as I please and never want to take it for granted.


Spiritual freedom is of even more importance to me. My mind is free to plan and dream without limits. And anything that I can dream, I can accomplish. God within is my inspiration to set goals and my wisdom to reach them.


I help others exercise their freedom by encouraging them to succeed and even surpass what they believe to be possible. The freedom of Spirit within each of us gives us the power to be and to do.


As I behold the Christ Spirit within myself and others, I see the unlimited potential within us and the absolute freedom that is inherent in our godlikeness.


"For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."--Galatians 5:1

Commitment
I choose life!
To demonstrate my desire for increased energy, vitality, and strength, I make a commitment to think and act in life-affirming ways. Knowing my body to be a temple of God, I care for it as I would a sacred creation, for indeed it is.


With awareness of my spiritual nature, I make choices--choices that promote renewal and restoration of my mind and body. I choose foods that promote health, and I keep my body moving with activities that are fun and enlivening.


I exercise my faith with the understanding that I am energized by the spirit of God--my wellspring of health and wholeness.
My choices are affirmations of life. I choose life and experience the benefits of a healthy mind, expressing through a healthy body.


"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God."--1 Corinthians 6:19

All is in divine order. I know this truth; I live this truth today and every day.
Divine order is established in my life. The spirit of God is working in and through me to guide my ways and light my path. All my circumstances and experiences are brought into a harmonious balance.


I put God first as I go within for guidance. Therefore, my decisions are made with confidence and faith. In the silence of prayer, I clear my mind and refresh my spirits so that my thinking is constructive and illumined. I remain open at all times to receive what God is offering me.


The indwelling spirit of God is both my motivation and my inspiration, encouraging me to look for and expect good. I meet every experience with this expectation and with the understanding that all is in divine order.


"You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways."--Job 22:28

Inner Peace



With unwavering faith, I release all to God. Peace fills my soul.
At times I may feel that I'm becoming overwhelmed as I carry out the responsibilities and tasks that are expected of me. Circumstances may spiral out of control. Unexpected news may stoke fearful feelings. Then what do I do?


Becoming still, taking a deep breath, I remember the words of a century-old hymn: "It is well with my soul." I spend a few moments in prayer knowing that all is well in spirit and in truth.


When I want to remove myself from a negative situation, I may take a walk, which energizes my mind and body. My thoughts become clear for positive decision-making and healthy choices.


I relax and release all to the divine order that is perpetually moving in my life. Peace fills my soul.


"Be still, and know that I am God!"--Psalm 46:10

Prosperity

Divine love is my source of abundance. My life overflows with good.


Whenever feelings of lack begin to surface, I quickly reverse my thinking and affirm: My life is filled with the abundant love of God. Divine love is my unlimited supply in all matters and my definitive answer to every doubt or concern.
Centering myself in God, I devote time to prayer. Exercising my faith, I achieve calm and balance. With a spiritual perspective, I realize how prosperous I am. I have patience because I know that the perfect fulfillment of my faith is being revealed.


When the answer appears, I witness the power of God at work in my life. What could the source of this activity be other than divine love? Divine love is the source of my abundance, and my life overflows with good.


"But the meek shall inherit the land, and delight themselves in abundant prosperity."--Psalm 37:11

I enfold you in the prayers of Silent Unity and give thanks for answered prayer.
I pray for others, enfolding each person--near or far--in loving thoughts of strength, wisdom, prosperity, and well-being.


I may feel the need for additional prayer support, however, when a friend or loved one is going through a difficult situation. I call the Silent Unity prayer ministry. Hearing a gentle voice on the phone soothes me and enables me to focus on the truth--God is always within me and those I care about as our ever-present help.


As my prayer with Silent Unity comes to an end, I offer a silent prayer for the one who just prayed with me and for the people around the globe that Silent Unity holds in prayer each day. I envision all tenderly enfolded in God's care, and I give thanks for the answers to prayer.


"I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you."--Philippians 1:3-4

With a fresh outlook on my world, I make a new start in life.

One change in my life may initiate nothing more than me making simple modifications. Another change may lead to an incredible transformation for me.


It's those life-changing events that may cause me to feel as if I'm starting over. And that is okay, because a new start holds the promise of my greater good. I consider each day a golden opportunity for me to have a fresh outlook on my world.


I may be going out on my own or coming together with others in a new family. I may be starting a career or making a career change. No matter what the situation or timing of it, God is my constant companion, and with God, I am always making progress.


"All of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit."--2 Corinthians 3:18

I am open to my good in thought, attitude, and expectation.
I value the wonderful qualities of children. As I watch a group of children absorbed in playful activity, I see that each child is intent on what he or she is doing, eager to learn and free from concern.


Having this open, receptive, jubilant attitude is a perfect way for me to live my own life. Willing to receive divine direction, I expand my eagerness to experience life's offerings. More opportunities open to me because my heart and spirit are open. I am receptive to God's love, healing, and abundance, and I am free from doubt and concern.


I take time to honor the child in me in thought, attitude, and expectation. I am a spiritual expression in human form, and all I need for healthy, joyous, prosperous living is mine. With eagerness and openness, I receive my good, in expected and unexpected forms.

I am prepared for new experiences.


As I reflect upon the flow of good, constant in my life, I picture streams of water rushing into a sand castle moat. The trench fills quickly as liquid curls past turrets, beneath bridges--in, around, and under.


Much like this flow of water, wherever I have room--in drawers, schedules, living areas--objects or projects can collect and fill space. Knowing this, I keep my spaces open to make room for the flow of God's good that is always available to me. I de-clutter areas at work and home, within vehicles and lockers.


As I prepare for each new experience, my mind is open to insight and my heart, to understanding. I am blessed in every facet of life. Limitless substance is my heritage. I release and clear the way for blessings of energy, time, and substance.
"Thank You, God!"


"Now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land."--Genesis 26:22

As a child of God, I am healthy and whole. I live a complete and balanced life.


I am more than my name, personality, career, and image portray me to be. I am a child of God who has been created to be healthy and whole.


I feel a resounding yes from the spirit of God within me each time I affirm: I am a child of God. Knowing who I am and claiming this truth in every circumstance, I am both energized and at peace.
I am physically strong, mentally alert, and spiritually centered. I speak words of faith about the life within the cells of my body, and that life responds as healing and renewal. I am whole and holy. God's spirit is both personal and transcendent, within me and everywhere around me. I have a vitality that sustains me in all that I do. Healthy and whole, I live a complete and balanced life.


"It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God."--Romans 8:16

I have been blessed with teachers, counselors, and coaches who influenced my progress in meaningful ways. They offered me wisdom and knowledge gained through experience and education. At times I may have been unsure of myself or my choices, but they bolstered my confidence by pointing out my strengths and abilities. They guided me, helping me to find my own way.


Now as I offer a helping hand to young people, I accept the role of mentor as a sacred responsibility. I am patient and generous as I encourage them to stretch beyond any perceived limitations to realize their own self-worth and strengths. I challenge them to learn and to grow. I hold a vision of them excelling in life, and I take joy in seeing them reach their success.


"Give instruction to the wise, and they will become wiser still."--Proverbs 9:9

No matter my background, religion, or ethnicity, I share a spiritual heritage with every other citizen of the world. God is "above all and through all and in all."
Created to experience and express the love of the indwelling spirit of God, I shine with radiance and light. As part of a loving universe, I am one in Spirit with all others.


I am blessed with health and prosperity, with love and courage. The goodness of God is within me, and I bless the world as I express divine goodness in my thoughts, words, and actions toward all.


From the love of God that is within my heart, I act with compassion, peace, and understanding. I reach out with kindness to assist those in present need, to make friends of strangers, and to rejoice in the divine blessings that we all share.


"One God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all."--Ephesians 4:6

I let my Christ Light shine, and my joy is complete. During a challenging time, I may let the adverse influence of circumstances that are beyond my control cause me to feel down. Thank goodness, I bring myself back up by knowing and affirming that the source of my joy is within me. Whenever I notice that my focus has gotten off center, I turn my thoughts to the indwelling Christ Spirit. The moment I do, I feel my spirits lift. Joy stirs within me to warm my heart and transform my thoughts with peace and inspiration.


The Christ Spirit within makes my joy complete. There is joy in letting the Christ Light shine through me as love and optimism, as truth and understanding. Knowing that my joy cannot be taken from me, I am empowered to live life fully and completely.


"You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy."--Psalm 16:11

In God, I am complete--spirit, mind, and body.
I appreciate that there are wonders of nature that satisfy my senses so completely. For instance, the sweet aroma of the lilac bush greets me even before I come near it. Lavender-blue clusters invite me to take a closer look and touch the velvety soft blossoms, which are a beauty that I know will last for only a short time.
It is prayer, however, that offers me a completeness that moves me past what my senses offer me. In prayer I am fully in the presence of God. I sense the Holy Presence within and around me with every fiber of my being. I feel the sacredness of my oneness with God and all creation.
I understand that in God I am complete--spirit, mind, and body. I am a whole and holy being. I continue to be blessed by this awareness as I keep it active throughout the day.
"While we, for our part, will devote ourselves to prayer and to serving the word."--Acts 6:4

Serenity flows from the depths of my soul. I am immersed in peace.


Sitting beside a clear stream, I relax and watch as a slender fish faces the oncoming current head-on. Instead of struggling against the rushing water, the fish remains peaceful and calm, allowing the current to run past its body. Barely moving, it has become one with the stream.


This simple observation is a message of peace for me. I realize that I can escape the rush of daily activity. I become still and feel the quieting effects as serenity flows from the depths of my soul. Immersed in peace, I am one with God and experience a tranquility that restores me. Relaxing further into the presence of God, I am both recharged and refreshed.


I can re experience this sacred moment at any time. Centered in the peace of God within my soul, I am calm and serene.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you."--John 14:27

Child of God, you are created to be whole and well.
My loving thoughts and affirmations for others are ways I pray for them, whether they are near or far away. The experience of praying and affirming good for others blesses me as well.
When a loved one is experiencing a health challenge, I affirm the truth about this person: You are a child of God, created to be whole and well.
When friends or loved ones achieve something wonderful--a promotion, an award, a degree--I celebrate with gratitude: Thank You, God. They are worthy to receive!
When I know that someone is feeling confused or stressful, I offer this assurance: You are never alone. God is your strength.
With each thought and affirmation for others, I send them my love and gratitude.
"Keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the hearts of your people, and direct their hearts toward you."--1 Chronicles 29:18

Some words of wisdom become so commonplace that the depth of truth they offer may be overlooked. Yet when I feel as if I'm in the midst of challenge, I find that expressions such as "This too shall pass" and "Every cloud has a silver lining" comfort me.


Troubles of the world are not permanent, but God's love is constant. It may appear that no good could come from present difficulties. In truth, however, I know that any difficulty can only temporarily obscure my view of good. Clouds cannot extinguish the sun. Its light continues to shine.


God's love never ceases to shine either. Divine love shows me that good awaits me--the goodness all around. I am comforted by the love of God.


"It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness."--Psalm 18:28

I speak from a heart of love and listen with patience and receptivity.
I value the people in my life--my family and friends, my coworkers and neighbors. Never wanting a disagreement or misunderstanding to come between us, I seek ways to bring harmony to our relationships.


Mindful to not react in anger or frustration, I look within to find a place of love from which to respond. I realize that I do not have all the answers, but through prayer and with love, I receive clear guidance.
My words are loving and helpful, and my heart is open. Speaking and listening with patience and receptivity, I help create exchanges that bring us together in harmony and for our mutual upliftment.


We are free to express our individuality in ways that keep our connection strong, supportive, and loving.


"Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."--Colossians 3:14

I am travelling new paths of exploration and renewal.Whatever my lifestyle and responsibilities, my work or hobbies, I need and deserve a vacation from my routines. Maybe it's simply time enjoyed being at home. Perhaps it's a weekend at a spiritual retreat. A trip to the ocean can be exhilarating to my spirits. Visiting another culture or country can expand my mind.


Taking time for exploration and renewal, I am investing in my well-being, allowing time for recharging myself spiritually, mentally, and physically. A break from my usual schedule brings me new insights and ideas, divine guidance toward goals. I discover additional ways to achieve, to serve, and to care. Old routines give way to new, additional paths of exploration and expression.
I thank God for the opportunity to work and to play, to be renewed and to heal.


"He said, 'My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'"--Exodus 33:14

I realize the substance of Spirit and accept it with gratitude.


I am abundantly blessed by the activity and beauty of my world. The sun rises and shines through my windows. Birds greet me with a joyous morning song. Rain falls, rainbows appear, flowers bloom, and a full moon glows in the night. All are expressions of the substance of Spirit, and I accept each one with gratitude.
When my life takes an unexpected turn, however, I may temporarily lose sight of the wonders around me. I always come back to the realization that God is all good all the time. Then I look at circumstances with new understanding and an appreciation for the unlimited goodness of God.


This divine goodness blesses my relationships, my finances, my employment, and fills every aspect of my life.


"For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope."--Jeremiah 29:11

Today I may greet someone special with this personal message of appreciation.


"Thank you for your dedication to assisting others in matters large and small. You act on an intuition that leads you in being the greatest help to others.


"You serve in many ways and by a variety of means, applying your own insight to the needs of others. Foreseeing what challenges may arise next, you are prepared to address them--so smoothly that what you have done may go unnoticed. I appreciate your ability to preempt less-than-ideal choices before they become errors in need of repair.


"Thank you for the positive difference you make on a daily basis. And today, especially, I thank God for the gift of your presence. With commitment and passion, you enhance the days, the work, the lives of many."


"We always give thanks to God for all of you and mention you in our prayers."--1 Thessalonians 1:2

You are forever held in the love of God.This is a day of remembering those who have blessed me personally and of honoring those who have blessed the world through their commitments of love and peace. As members of the family of God, each one has shined the light of God within them out into the world.


The faith they showed in times of adversity gives hope to those who need to hope, encourages those who are facing hardship, inspires those who follow in their footsteps. Their legacy compels the best within others to come forward and to be lived every day.
For those who are still present in my life and those who have passed on, I envision them through eyes of love, knowing that they are forever held in the love of God.


"For God, whom I serve with my spirit by announcing the gospel of his Son, is my witness that without ceasing I remember you always in my prayers."--Romans 1:9

I follow inner guidance in realizing my dreams.
Flashes of inspiration and spiritual insight sometimes come to me without introduction or invitation. It's as if divine ideas are floating in my mind and suddenly one drops into my awareness at the strangest moment--while I'm in the shower or driving, where no pen and paper are within reach.


Divine ideas also come to me in prayer and meditation as my heart receives a gentle nudge, an inner knowing. No matter how they appear, divine ideas stir me into action through revelations of truth.
As I follow inner guidance, I begin to envision new and insightful ways to manage the circumstances of my life. Divine ideas encourage me to dream a new dream and to move beyond current understanding so that I realize that dream.


"Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path."--Psalm 27:11

The Spirit of God sustains and upholds me at all times.
If difficulties are mounting at home or at work, I may feel as if I'm struggling to keep my head above water. I then ask myself, Why am I trying to go it alone?


I know what to do as I read words of Scripture: "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord." It's time to let go and let God. It's time to stop struggling and let any burden be lifted from me.


This is a sweet and gentle reminder that I am never alone and that there is no need to struggle. God loves me and calls for me to turn within. The Spirit of God sustains and upholds me at all times.


I release all to God--all worry, all pain. Both physically and spiritually, I feel peace wash over me. I am comforted. The Spirit of God is here--within me and everywhere around me. I accept, I release, and I am free.
"Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts."--Zechariah 4:6

Faith
Blessings are flowing to me and from me this day.


I live by faith--a faith in God that is like a bridge over troubled waters. Secure and confident, I rise in thought and act above whatever challenges may be swirling around me. I live the fullness of life.


Getting past a time of trouble is not about my knowing the details of how blessings will come to me. In faith I know with certainty that I will receive them. Living in the moment with God, I understand that change ushers in a time of newness and discovery.


Faith assures me so that I accept each change for what it is: a new beginning. This is a time for greater strengths to be realized and expressed by me, for greater blessings to flow to and from me, for greater fulfillment to be accepted and shared by me.


"When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, 'Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.'"--Matthew 8:10

The life I live every day is my unique and individual expression of God's love. My thoughts are formed by my belief that God is all and in all. My words are uplifting and sure. My actions are full of life and energy, and they shine with love. My intention is to be loving and life-affirming in all that I think, say, and do. With the life of Jesus as my example, I serve and I love.


Each person is a child of God. Through the lens of this understanding, I see the sacredness of all people. I appreciate their contributions and treat them with compassion.


Centered in God's love, I give to life through my loving actions, and I am fulfilled. I know that I am right where I am supposed to be, doing what is mine to do.


"You call me Teacher and Lord--and you are right, for that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet."--John 13:13-14

The joy of Spirit is my joy.
My greatest joy is my relationship with God and in knowing, affirming, and accepting God's blessings. With my thoughts focused on the goodness of my Creator, I experience a joy that strengthens, encourages, and inspires me.


It is up to me to express my inner joy. As I do, it moves through me as waves of gladness that flow into my thoughts, conversations, and actions. There is a fullness of life that I embrace whenever I express the joy of Spirit within me as me.


I do not create my joy, nor does anyone else; there is a reservoir of sacred elation that is instilled within my soul by my Creator. The more joy I express, the more gladness of Spirit rushes in to fill this reservoir and then spills over into my life.


"I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete."--John 15:11

I live and give from the sacredness of my soul.
I take a proactive role in supporting my health and well-being. I include healthful, physical activities in my day's schedule. I take time to emotionally connect with my feelings, to energize my mind. I pray and meditate, receiving guidance, enjoying peace of mind, and attaining spiritual growth.


With these practices, I not only contribute to my own healing, I also have the strength to support others. Offering prayer, giving physical assistance, contributing time or resources to individuals or organizations--all this allows me to live and give from the sacredness of my soul. With this intention, I have a positive effect on the lives of others.
What an important contribution caring people are making in all areas of the world. We are God's family, caring about and for one another in loving, meaningful ways.


"He put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him."--Luke 10:34

God is the all-powerful, all-knowing presence active in my life and in the world.


I'm amazed that often challenges are overcome and opportunities appear in ways I had never considered. Yet I understand how perfect such divine order is as events in my life continue to unfold.
Divine order comes in many forms. I remember this when something doesn't go as I had planned. What I might have at first perceived as a mishap is an opportunity for me to witness the divine order in all things.


When something in my life, large or small, happens without a seeming reason, I affirm: divine order. I give thanks to God for being the all-powerful, all-knowing presence in my life and in the world. Divine order is everywhere, and I am a part of a divine plan.


"This is the plan that is planned concerning the whole earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations."--Isaiah 14:26

Through Christ in me, I am free.

The truth of a familiar hymn fills me with thanksgiving for my freedom: "I am free. I am unlimited. There are no chains that bind me." The Christ Spirit within frees me. Knowing this, I experience a sense of completeness and well-being. I realize the blessing that my openness brings me.


Through Christ in me, I am free to think and act. I explore my feelings and intentions without repression so that I am the complete individual I was created to be. I follow my inner guidance, which may not be what others think or say I should do. I am free to be the magnificent creation of God I was meant to be. Through prayer and meditation, I experience spiritual freedom.


Right now--this is the moment--I am free from past dependencies and habits and from all restrictive ideas. I am free!
"So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."--John 8:36

I am fulfilling my divine potential.
I am ready and willing to let God be in charge of my life. Exhilarated by the promise of the journey that lies ahead, I know I am moving forward to unlimited opportunities. God expresses wisdom and life through me, guiding me every step of the way.

I may have had to face some fears before fully embracing my willing spirit. I may have had to bolster my courage to see myself as God sees me--perfect and unlimited, strong and full of potential.

With sure faith, I have awakened to my true purpose of expressing my spiritual nature. God has graced me with divine qualities. I am strong, wise, and creative. I am joyful, willing, and able. I act with wisdom, courage, and resolve.

"You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart."--Psalm 51:6

The best is yet to be!
Knowing that the best is yet to be, I move past what has been. I focus on my blessings and allow myself to think and act from the understanding of all that can be.
My soul's choice is to rise to new heights of discovery and empowerment and adventure. And I do this one prayer, one thought, one decision at a time. God is revealing what my direction is to be, and I follow.
There is no need for me to force my life to move in one direction or another, nor do I want to. What I discover is that God has unexpected blessings in store for me.
Opening my mind and all my physical senses to my inner, spiritual realm, I heal from the past and I am ready to take on the day. There is no limit to what I can do and be--all through God within me.
"I am going to bring it recovery and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security."--Jeremiah 33:6

I am fulfilled--mind, body, and spirit.
I have probably made some, if not all, of these statements in the past: "Someday I will take a class just for the fun of it. One day I will go on a road trip, discovering my way along the way. Maybe tomorrow I'll take time to meet my new neighbor. I'm too busy now, but in the future I will be sure to make more time for family and friends."
Today I put all limiting thoughts of the past where they belong: in the past. I know that I can do more now. I understand that this is a prompting from the Christ of my being to live my life more fully. This is the perfect day to have fun, discover more beauty in nature, connect with neighbors, and spend quality time with my family and friends.
Christ within me is the master life coach, guiding me to and through the experiences that fulfill me in mind, body, and spirit.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."--Hebrews 13:8

I am confident as I listen to and act upon divine guidance.
Certain familiar sounds alert me to what I'm to do next: The buzz of an alarm announces that it's time to begin my day. The sound of my ringtone signals me to answer an incoming call. I may receive instructions from a supervisor, teacher, or mentor. I am always open to the guidance that comes to me seemingly out of the blue.
Yet it is in the silence that I receive the most profound guidance. I rest quietly in a place that is peaceful and comfortable. I breathe, relax, and become attuned to the many types of direction heard in my life.
My faith in divine guidance expands and enhances my receptivity to it. Solutions and answers become crystal clear. With this time in reflective prayer, I build discernment and confidence. I am blessed as I move with readiness to positive action.
"And he said, 'Let anyone with ears to hear listen!' "--Mark 4:9

Found

I experience absolute peace and reassurance in God's presence.
When it seemed as though something was missing in my life, I may have made a decision that I now wish I could cancel. Perhaps I was trying to fill an emptiness within me with something outside of me, and now I know that doesn't work.

What I had been searching for, what I had needed, what I had yearned for was with me from the very beginning. In God, I found myself. In God, I found my way.

Each day as I place my trust in God, I surrender any past or present hurt. Knowing I am always in God's loving presence, I experience absolute peace and reassurance. I am in God, and God is in me.
Centering myself in the indwelling presence of God, I live my life as the unique expression of God that I am. I am at peace, reassured, and fulfilled.

"'He was lost and is found!' And they began to celebrate."--Luke 15:24

Knowing our oneness, we live in harmony with one another.
A heartwarming story about a female dog that lovingly mothers six orphan kittens makes the national news. Perhaps the underlying message for people is that harmony is always possible because it's not about looking the same or sounding the same. It's about knowing our oneness and letting our unique qualities enhance our relationships.
People from different backgrounds often have different ideas about the same subject. Yet a diversity of ideas can lead to a hybrid idea--one that is a combination of the best of all ideas, a divine plan.
All was created by God and called good. So harmony is the norm when we interact with one another as we were created to act--with love and understanding, with compassion and consideration.
"May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus."--Romans 15:5

The Christ light reveals what is true, and I embrace it.
Without much thought, I might attach a negative label to a situation or person. Such an attitude caused me to come to that negative conclusion before I actually knew the person or had all the facts about a situation.
On second look--when I'm looking for the good--I find good. The situation I was a bit leery of becomes an opportunity for me to learn something of value. Taking the initiative to talk with the person I thought was aloof, I find that she responds with genuine interest.
The transformation is not with the situation or person. It actually happens in my own thoughts and attitude. As I let the wisdom of the inner Christ be my guide, I experience a transformation. The Christ light reveals what is true, and I embrace it.
"He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself."--Philippians 3:21

Something good is happening, and I accept it now.
My Spirit-inspired patience allows for the unfoldment of the highest good. I am not just waiting for something good to happen. I know something good is happening, and I am ready to accept it.
Another way to describe my patience is that I am letting go of all worry and concern and letting God express wisdom through me. With this combination of releasing the negative and accepting the good, I recognize the best options or considerations.
As I let go and let God, I don't react to a situation; I respond from Spirit within. Relaxed and at ease, I go about doing what is mine to do. I allow space for others to do what is theirs to do. This leaves the way clear for a divine solution.
"Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains."--James 5:7

"God is my all; I know no fear."
I may listen to the weather forecast before I leave my home. Then, no matter the season, I know what to wear to be comfortable and protected from the elements.

In the different seasons of life, whatever challenges may appear, I listen as God provides me with perfect guidance and protection for what is needed. I remember this by keeping these words from the "Prayer of Faith" in mind and heart: God walks beside me, guides my way Through every moment of the day.... God is my all; I know no fear, Since God and love and Truth are here. "Is not my house like this with God? For he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and secure.
Will he not cause to prosper all my help and my desire?"--2 Samuel 23:5

Giving expression to the love of God within me, I bless my heart.
As strong and reliable as my heart is, my feelings have an incredible impact on it. So I know not to hold stressful thoughts or feelings in my mind and heart.
My heart is a physical expression of my consciousness. When I feel positive emotions as I share a tender moment with someone or I am alone in serene meditation, this precious organ is calm. It relates with mind and body in healthy, renewing ways.
My love and intuition are heart-connected. And so I practice loving, positive thinking and acting. I forgive others, and I also forgive myself. I give expression to the love of God within me.
With each thought and action, I bless my heart and, at the same time, I am also blessing others in a heartfelt way.

A new me has emerged.
Watching accomplished athletes execute their skills with perfection, I may consider their performances to be easy and effortless. I know, though, that they have dedicated years of practice toward honing their skills.
There is truth in the adage "practice makes perfect." My spiritual practices of prayer and meditation, faith and trust are more than skills. They are a way of life, a way of living in awareness of who I am and what I can accomplish as a cocreator with God.
With a dedication of my time and understanding, my heart and soul to God, I am spiritually enriched. I am renewed in spirit, mind, and body, and my life is a reflection of the new me that has emerged.
"You have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator."--Colossians 3:9-10

I am spiritually refreshed and vibrantly alive!
Today I may feel a desire for a fresh outlook on life: to adopt new, healthful habits or rekindle a relationship.
Renewal can take place in ways that hold the prospect of greater strength and vibrance. As I commit to seeing someone or something in a new way--honoring myself by doing whatever nurtures my mind and body or sharing time with a special someone--I am replenished in mind, body, and soul.
There is also a deeper, more significant form of being refreshed. My spiritual rejuvenation is a celebration of God's presence within me. I find moments to pray alone and with others. I honor my worth. I meditate in a peaceful silence or while listening to music or the sounds of nature.
Spiritually refreshed, I am vibrantly alive!
"Yes, brother, let me have this benefit from you in the Lord! Refresh my heart in Christ."--Philemon 1:20

I live in an abundant world and trust God to reveal my good to me.
Faced with an economic challenge such as a job loss or an unexpected financial need, I waste no time with thoughts of lack. I move right into God's creative flow of abundance so that I move forward in realizing my full potential.
Because I am a receptive channel for God's abundance, I draw my good to me. In unlimited ways, I use my inner resources of divine ideas and infinite intelligence. These resources support me as I move through the decisions and actions that lie ahead.
The present situation is ripe with opportunities. I am ready to accomplish great things and to realize the prosperity that is always available to me. The kingdom of God is my absolute reality, right here and now.
"The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed; nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There it is!' For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among you."--Luke 17:20-21

I give generously from my heart.
The good I do for others makes a difference in their lives. I contribute my energies in ways that benefit people--some known and others unknown to me. By being helpful, I honor the Christ within me and within them.
When I give of myself, I am expressing consideration and generosity. Some ways I serve in my family and the organizations I belong to are traditional. Shared relationships and beliefs are honored as family, spiritual, and cultural practices are celebrated.
I also reflect on additional innovative ways to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I am blessed each time I give generously from my heart.
"When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him."--Luke 4:16-17

Always

Trusting in divine guidance, I accept unlimited options and opportunities.

Life holds countless opportunities for me. Whatever the situation may be, there is always another means, another blessing available to me. Even if I feel I am going in circles, with closer examination, I find I am making progress, spiraling upward. Trusting in divine guidance, I am open to the array of blessings revealed to me.

There is always another method--to learn, remember, try, or apply. There is always another place--to work, live, play, or find support. There is always another friend--to contact, share with, or meet anew. There is always another work--to accomplish, contribute to, or receive from. My options and alternatives are limitless. In renewed awareness, I affirm: There is always another way.

Inner Peace

I breathe into this moment of tranquility and experience the peace of God.

On the wall inside the Unity Peace Chapel are the words that Jesus spoke to quiet a storm at sea: "Peace, Be Still." These three powerful words are a reminder for me to claim the peace that is within me.

In prayer, I breathe into a precious time of tranquility and experience the peace of God within every fiber of my being. My awareness of God's gentle, loving presence assures me that all is calm. Within my heart and soul, whatever the time or circumstances of my experience, God is present.

In times of both quiet and activity, I speak the words "Peace! Be still!" Connecting with the truth of this statement, I am at peace.
"He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace! Be still!' Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm.... And they were filled with great awe and said to one another, 'Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?' "--Mark 4:39, 41

The love of God heals, protects, and blesses me.
The power of divine love is never restricted by time, space, or circumstance. Knowing no bounds or limitations, love blesses all with goodness and beauty.
Even when I'm feeling vulnerable or fearful, when I'm unsure of my finances or my security, God's powerful light and love break through. Divine love graces me with its sweet, tender presence.
The love of God heals, protects, and blesses me. It comes to me in a flash of insight when I am in need of guidance. Walking in nature or sitting quietly in prayer, I feel love permeate my being.
Being God's love in expression, I am expressing my gratitude for the love of God for me and within me.
"We have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them."--1 John 4:16

I am life, love, and creativity in full expression!
Am I feeling there is so much more I can do in life or desire to do with my life? That feeling may be an inner prompting that reminds me I have a great work to do, great gifts to give, and a great life to live.
Because I am a creation of God, there is a purpose for me. As I let more of my Christ nature be expressed in all that I think, do, and say, I am being life, love, and creativity in full expression. My life is then so much more about my spiritual fulfillment than simply about my productivity.

The more I give from my spiritual nature, the more I find I have to give. In prayer, I receive fresh inspiration and recharge my spiritual energy. "Prayed up," I have the incentive to explore ways I can give back to life as much as I receive from life.
Life is great because it is a gift from God!

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."--John 10:10

Animal Blessing

God's creatures, large and small, enrich our lives and our world.
God has blessed people the world over with a diversity of animals. Whether they are in the wild, on farms, or in our homes, we accept and cherish animals as God intended them to be: our helpers. Modern equipment has replaced the work previously done by some animals; however, their beauty, resourcefulness, and companionship continue to enhance our lives.

Whether we work with, care for, or are observers of animals and their activities, we give thanks that God created such remarkable creatures. As our companions or therapy pets, as creatures that help maintain a vital balance in nature, animals enrich our lives and our world.

"Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.' So out of the ground the Lord God formed every animal of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them."--Genesis 2:18-19

Guided by divine wisdom, I soar to new heights of understanding.

There is a gentle stirring within me, a whisper of an idea, that I recognize as divine guidance. Unquestionably, I know that God is my source of good, a constant guiding presence. Uplifted in spirit, I see my way over obstacles that I may have once thought blocked me from realizing my good.

In this higher elevation of divine knowing, I have an overview of the bigger picture. Mountains become molehills, challenges become opportunities, the seemingly impossible becomes possible.

Dedicated to knowing and living the truth, I soar to new heights of understanding and make progress in all areas of my life.

"As an eagle stirs up its nest, and hovers over its young; as it spreads its wings, takes them up, and bears them aloft on its pinions, the Lord alone guided him." --Deuteronomy 32:11-12

I am unbounded and free!
I give expression to my inner spiritual light in a way that feels natural to me--by being myself! It requires no effort on my part to be the real me. Authentic living is effortless and liberating.
I accept myself just as I am, just as I was created: a beloved, light-filled expression of Spirit. With a grateful heart, I embrace the qualities God gave me, the special skills and talents that shape my unique experience. By honoring gifts like imagination, creativity, and leadership, I honor God.
Freedom is a state of mind and heart. And even more important, it is the state of my spirit. As my unbounded true self, I am living the life God gave me to live and loving every minute of it!
"If then your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be as full of light as when a lamp gives you light with its rays."--Luke 11:36

Setting aside some time for myself, I do some creative activity, or I may simply enjoy a peaceful break on my own in the quiet. During this mini-retreat, I am conscious of Spirit within, and the capacity of my heart to contain God's love expands.
I am beloved of God--not for what I do, what I look like, nor what I own. I am beloved because I am a child of God. There are no conditions placed on divine love. The respect I have for myself shows my appreciation for all I've been given--life, health, and abundant supply.
An added bonus of caring for myself is that I actually have more to offer others. So I may follow a time for me by spending time with another, which brings us both a greater awareness of God's love.
"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us."--Ephesians 5:1-2

Knowing our oneness of Spirit, I live in harmony with all people.
I welcome opportunities to be a presence of harmony in my environment. I may be the next person to speak with a coworker who has just been overloaded with assignments or a neighbor who has just received a huge utility bill. My hello might be greeted with a look of exasperation. Not taking it personally, I respond with an encouraging smile.
Yet I do take harmony personally, doing whatever I can to encourage and maintain peaceful relations. I offer others compassion, understanding, and reassurance.
No matter what the situation may be, my presence has a harmonizing effect as I give expression to the spirit of God within me. In a spirit of harmony, I continually look for the good in others and recognize that we are all one in Spirit.
"How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!"--Psalm 133:1

The indwelling Christ is my sanctuary of peace and serenity.
With so much focus in the world on human nature, I realize how important it is to reflect on the sacred nature.
To build on my awareness of the holy Presence, I turn within to the sanctuary of my soul and spend time in silent meditation. I begin by imagining that I am relaxing before the hearth of a winter's evening fire. Through a window, I see sparkling, ivory snowflakes falling silently. All is hushed; all is still.
In the stillness of my inner sanctuary, I am immersed in the presence of the Christ. Serenity is mine in this very moment, because the indwelling Christ is my source of tranquility. Here and now, I acknowledge that I am a sacred being.
Immersed in the Christ, I am more than at peace and serene. I am peace and serenity.
"And have them make me a sanctuary, so that I may dwell among them."--Exodus 25:8

Divine ideas inspire me on my path of fulfillment.
I may have felt amazed when, after feeling lost in a fog of confusion, I suddenly saw my right path become clear. Or I may be more than a bit astonished when a spontaneous, inner prompting offers a refreshing solution when I had thought there was none.
These"aha" moments are blessings that bring enlightenment--bright ideas, innovative methods. These seemingly unexplainable moments of inspiration are times when--even for a second--I have gotten my own limited thinking out of the way. I've made room for divine ideas to flow into my mind and be expressed in my life. I take a deep breath and release it in a joyful"Thank You, God, for the gifts of new opportunities."
"The prophet Jeremiah said to them, 'Very well: I am going to pray to the Lord your God as you request, and whatever the Lord answers you I will tell you; I will keep nothing back from you.'"--Jeremiah 42:4

Grace

God is blessing me with an outpouring of divine love.
By the grace of God, I am a blessing and I am blessed. I realize this to a greater degree when, for some unknown reason, I feel an urgency to call a loved one at the moment this person needs comforting. Or I may have seemingly lost a purse or a wallet only to have it returned to me by a considerate, caring person.

Divine grace is expressing through me and for me in known and unknown ways. My days are filled with blessings. Some I may take for granted, and some may come to me so quietly that I am not alert to them.
I never miss out on anything in life when I am aware that God is blessing me with an outpouring of divine love.

"But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever."--Psalm 52:8

Thank God for this divine-outcome day!
As I exercise my physical muscles, I strengthen them. As I use my mental skills, I increase them. The same is true concerning my faith. The more I use it, the more it is strengthened, the more it increases.
And it is with faith that I set free my expectations of blessings, so they are not limited. I pray. I envision magnificent possibilities. All things good expand and rise naturally to meet and often exceed my expectations as I continue to know and affirm my faith in God.
I also spend time in environments and with people who offer positive support and encourage healthful practices and activities. I have an expanding, understanding faith in God.
This is a divine-outcome day!"All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his decrees."--Psalm 25:10

God-inspired choices are right for me and for all times.
Situations in life are often not as they first appear to be. I may consider a new circumstance or a change to be so drastic that I think I have no choice in the matter. Perhaps I have received a diagnosis about my health or incurred a downturn in my finances and feel, or have even been told, that I have no other choice but to accept a negative outcome.
When I turn from concern to inner guidance, I realize that I do have a choice in all that matters to me. I can choose how I respond to life's situations and to those around me--in what I do or do not do.
I understand that there is always an inspired way for me to follow. With the spirit of God as my guide, I make right choices.
"Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart to revere your name."--Psalm 86:11

In this moment, a divine plan is unfolding in my life.
There may be times when events in my life just do not seem to make sense. I may question why something happened or how I ended up in my present circumstances.
With an increasing understanding of divine order, however, I realize that when my attention is focused solely on myself and my world of experiences, I am not seeing the whole picture. As I expand my vision through the lens of spiritual understanding, I take in the divine plan that is unfolding. I see order in my life and in the world.
From this expanded viewpoint, I watch as problems shrink in both size and importance. I relax and enjoy living in each now moment, allowing answers to come in the form of inner wisdom and divine solutions.
"From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we know him no longer in that way."--2 Corinthians 5:16

I am in the right place at the right time for perfect employment.
I have fulfilling work to do that is an absolutely perfect fit for me. It may be my present job or a new one, a paid position or one in which I serve as a volunteer.
Whatever I do, I am appreciated and valued for my time and talents. As a paid employee or volunteer, I have more than enough to feed, clothe, shelter, and otherwise care for myself and my loved ones.
I remember that the young people in my life also need to be appreciated and valued. Like adults, they are fulfilled in making meaningful contributions to our world, and I encourage them towards success.
I give thanks for the great variety of jobs in the world and the people who perform them. There is a purpose for it all, and I know that my purpose is always being revealed.
"My purpose shall stand, and I will fulfill my intention."--Isaiah 46:10

As a child, I may have constructed a paper boat and floated it in a bathtub or even a puddle of water. Now, in a quiet time of meditation, I imagine placing such a craft on the surface of a stream. Soothed by the warmth of the day's sun, I relax and visually follow my creation as it floats downstream.
I rest comfortably as I watch the boat ride over the ripples in the stream, bump into a stick or stone here and there. The stream flows in one direction, so I know I will not see my paper handiwork again. I have released it to a new "experience."
Like this peaceful release, I let go of any concerns and trust them to God's care. I have no need to take them back. God's power, wisdom, and protection exist here and now, where I am and as I am.
"They thought they could achieve their purpose; so they weighed anchor and began to sail past Crete."--Acts 27:13

The Christ within guides me as I act and speak in uplifting, comforting ways.
Listening with love, whether to a dear one who is in distress or even to the yearnings of my own heart, is an act of tenderness and compassion.
While acknowledging the present experience, I move beyond it as I silently turn within and connect with the Christ Presence at the core of my being. Raising my consciousness above sorrow or concern, I allow the Christ within to guide me in offering upliftment and comfort to others.
Secure and at ease, I trust the Christ Presence as my comforter and source of strength and wisdom. Through the divine presence within, I am an expression of loving kindness and comfort to those in need.
"Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and through grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope, comfort your hearts and strengthen them in every good work and word."--2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

I live each day in the presence and love of God.
Upon self-reflection, I am aware that my actions may, at times, be out of touch with what I know is the truth about me. Since I believe that God is my source of abundant good, why would I ever be fearful about making ends meet? Because I've experienced the peace of forgiveness, how could I ever hold a grudge against a loved one? I know that God, my Creator, loves me unconditionally, so how could I ever feel unworthy?
To live in agreement with the truth, I keep in touch with God in mind and heart. By living consciously and faithfully and by seeking to expand my understanding of who I am and why I am here, I gain a new sense of reality and purpose. Rediscovering my true self, I live in congruence with my beliefs and in touch with the presence of God within me.
"But those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit."--Romans 8:5

Divine energy enlivens my mind and body. I am refreshed and renewed.
My body and mind are filled to overflowing with healing energy. I am a true reflection of the divine rejuvenation that is continually taking place within me.
Invigorated! That's how I feel. I'm enthused with a renewed sense of exuberance and strength. Refreshed, I am aware that divine energy is flowing to and from every cell, organ, and part of my being.
As an expression of unlimited life and wellness, I affirm that divine life and love are active within me. I celebrate and delight in my health and renewal.
Vibrating with effervescent life, my cells function in wondrous ways to reflect my wellness. Thankful for the abundance of God's love and caring, I am vitally alive, energetic, and enthusiastic.
"With you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light."--Psalm 36:9

Words of TruthI boldly and gratefully accept the gifts of Spirit.
An affirmation is not merely wishful thinking; it is a statement of truth by which I claim the good that is mine to claim. With positive affirmations, I boldly and gratefully accept the gifts of Spirit.
Conditions in the outer adjust to agree with God's bountiful provision, and I am uplifted to a better understanding of my unity with my Creator. This clears the way for divine perfection to be revealed.
God breathes through me as the inspiration for positive, life-affirming words--words of health and wholeness, of abundance and infinite supply, of thanksgiving for blessings, both seen and unseen. Words of truth confirm all that God provides.
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer."--Psalm 19:14

Divine Order
I recognize and accept this divine order day.
On occasion, I may need to remind myself to think affirmatively rather than to think negatively about situations. This is important, because my very thoughts can either lift my spirits and encourage me on or they can bring me down and stop me in my tracks.
Affirming divine order is a concise, powerful way of contributing to the best outcome of every situation. It's as if while writing an outline of how I think my day should be, I hit the "escape" key so that I can start over and experience something even better.
How could I possibly do better than to affirm a divine order day? Because I do, I am ready for the best each day: I recognize it, and I accept it.
"Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on a level path."--Psalm 143:10

Turning Point
God is the way--this moment, this day.
God knows and shows me the way to and through every turning point in life. At those times when I may feel at a loss as to what to do, I affirm: God knows and shows me what is mine to do.
Feelings of loss can come in many ways: a temporary or longtime separation from a spouse, child, partner, or friend; the termination of a job; or the experience of not meeting a personal goal.
I find my way through these times as I rely on God to lead me on to new or renewed relationships, career opportunities, and fulfilling accomplishments. I move forward with enthusiasm. I respond with faith to opportunities to stretch and grow beyond what I did the day before--even the moment before.
"And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."--Romans 8:27

I am a healthy, wise, and peace-filled child of God.
When I contemplate my life's purpose, what is it that first comes to mind? I may turn in thought to my family, believing that an important intention I fulfill is to nurture my spouse, children, or grandchildren. I may then turn to my achievements toward a lucrative career or my dedication to serving others through my contributions.
As I continue to reflect on my life, I realize that in the midst of all that exists in the world, God has an all-encompassing purpose for me. I was created to be a healthy, wise, and peace-filled child of God. Just as I nurture and give to others, I am to love and care for myself also.
Knowing who I am and where I'm going, I affirm: As a child of God, I am a source of the love and light of God in the world. Enthusiastically, I live my life with purpose.
"The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me."--Psalm 138:8

Thank You, God, for those who share their dreams and inspire the world.
There are moments in time, in the annals of history, when great dreams are shared, when ideas are carried forth, when inspiration propels humanity to greater good.
A dream or a vision is not just for the few, but for the many--to be influenced, impacted, led to higher ground. Filled with respect and appreciation, I give thanks for the greater good that comes from such visions. The intentions of those in the past and the foresight of generations yet to follow hold the keys to understanding and progress.
Thank God for wise and insightful dreamers. I honor them for their contributions. And with divine guidance, I go forward, holding to the highest of standards and expanding understanding among myself and others.
"Let the wise also hear and gain in learning, and the discerning acquire skill, to understand a proverb and a figure."--Proverbs 1:5-6

Open to change, I contribute to the best possible outcome.
Nothing is static in life, for life is about change and transition. When I am facing change, I may have a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach--much like I felt on my first day of school, first time riding a bike, first experience of driving on my own.
I am ready for change as--one day at a time, one experience at a time--I focus on what is before me to learn and accomplish. I am confident, for I have unlimited provision from God to call upon regarding my career, relationships, and finances.
I know that what comes next is a blessing of greater knowledge and skills. Remaining open to change, I contribute to the best possible outcome. Knowing that the one constant in life is God, my guide and companion at all times, I can hardly wait for the next blessing.
"But be glad and rejoice forever in what I am creating."--Isaiah 65:18

Prosperity

God created me to experience a life of abundance. I claim my good.
As I respond from my inner sacred center, I do not react with panic or stress to negative news and predictions. I do not buy into any belief in hopelessness or lack.

When certain conditions that are not in line with an abundant life appear, I realize they are temporary. I affirm what is true for me and every other creation of God: Negativity has no power over me. It holds no permanence in my life or in the world.

God is the source of abundant good. Knowing and affirming that God created all to experience a life of abundance, I contribute to a consciousness of prosperity that enriches the world. Person by person, prayer by prayer, I join with others in proclaiming the truth of our personal and global prosperity.

"Those who are attentive to a matter will prosper, and happy are those who trust in the Lord."--Proverbs 16:20

Free

I am free to create the life I desire.

My mind is a powerful, creative tool. With it, I have the ability to pursue and achieve unlimited possibilities. I am free to express myself in diverse ways.

As I give my full attention to God in prayer, I free myself from all limitations and open myself to experiencing the fulfillment of my deepest desires. I picture in my mind the outcome I desire and then contribute to its unfoldment. This freedom to create my world through thoughts and images held in mind helps me to cross any bridge or surmount any hurdle on my way to success.

My freedom is precious to me. Through prayer and meditation, I keep my mind open and filled with positive thoughts. I cocreate the life I want, the world I desire, and the means with which to accomplish my goals.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."--2 Corinthians 3:17

Pray for Others

God is the answer to my prayers, and all is well.

Praying for myself and for others, I tap into the mighty power of God. Creating a sacred space with faith and an expectation of our highest good, I call forth a response within me that is the activity of Spirit.
Perhaps I have relatives who are traveling a long distance. In my heart, I hold a vision of them, divinely protected. Giving thanks in advance, I know that all circumstances of their travel are falling gracefully into place.

I may know someone who is looking for employment. In prayer, I envision new opportunities for them, and the ways to fulfill them being revealed. With career pursuits in divine order, all is well.

Praying with surety and faith in our eternal connection with God and with one another brings all into alignment with the answer to prayer, which is always our highest good.

"Beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit."--Jude 1:20

Faith

My faith opens the door to infinite supply and limitless life.
There may be times when doubt and fear about personal and global challenges begin to nudge aside my faith.

Yet as I tune in to the teachings of Jesus, I know to "Have faith in God." I hear the message "Your faith has made you well." I believe, "If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move."

As I tune out adverse appearances, my faith is renewed, enhancing my understanding of God's goodness in my life.

Jesus showed that faith opens the door to infinite supply, ever-renewing life, spiritual fulfillment, and all conceivable good. By following the guidance of my Way Shower, I build an unquestioning faith that my prayers are fulfilled by God's omnipresent power.

"If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."--John 15:7

World Peace

One with God, we are contributing to a new world of peace and security.

At the core of many disputes in a home, community, or the world, there is often at least one person who is not willing to accept a different idea, belief, tradition, or appearance.

Yet there is something happening that has greater power, a power for good. One by one, throughout the world, members of the Daily Word family are dedicated to being at peace in a world of diversity, a world of unique individuals created by God.

One with God and with one another, we are contributing to a new world of peace and serenity. In our homes, communities, and the world, we are peacemakers who are truly making progress. We are sowing seeds of peace through our prayers, conversations, and actions. There is a harvest of peace that is nourishing the world.

"And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace."--James 3:18

Guidance

I enter this new year with confidence, knowing that God lights my way.
In times of change or even turmoil, I may examine my plans or reexamine myself, wondering, Why is this happening? What can I do? What's next?
Placing all wondering and questioning aside, I realize that divine wisdom is always present to illumine my way. In prayerful meditation, I obtain a serene balance between questions and solutions. I acknowledge the peace within that soothes my soul.
I feel the calm assurance of divine insight and the tranquility of trust in outcomes. God is always here. Whether or not the details are obvious to me, I am ready to move forward confidently with my plans and understanding. I anticipate the known and trust in God for the unknown.
"May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known upon earth."--Psalm 67:1-2

Strength

I have strength of Spirit, for the power of Spirit is within me.
Through various circumstances of life, I may be called upon to be physically, emotionally, and mentally strong. At these very times, however, I might feel as if I'm not up to giving my best.

My best, though, does come about as I affirm that I was created with unlimited strength of Spirit. Focused upon the indwelling Spirit, I open my mind and body to currents of stamina and strength. My physical strength is renewed. I am able to remain calm in the face of disturbances. I have the confidence and the clear thinking needed to do my best, meeting my responsibilities and embracing opportunities.

I call on this inner strength of Spirit at any time and in any circumstance, for the power of Spirit is within me.
"On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul."--Psalm 138:3

New Me

Through the renewing spirit of Christ within, I am a new creation.

A new me is emerging this year, and today is the beginning of a journey of discovery. Along the way, I am discovering skills and strengths, pursuing dreams and desires, completing projects and goals.

Everything old is in the past. No limiting conditions are left over. All has become new. Previously untried experiences stimulate my mind and creativity. This is a year of renewal of mind and body, of healing--physically and emotionally.

I joyfully reunite with people and places that have held meaning in my life. New acquaintances enrich my everyday experiences and inspire my progress forward.

I am not the same person I was last year or even yesterday. Through the renewing spirit of Christ within, I am a new creation.

"So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!"--2 Corinthians 5:17

Faith

My focus is on faith, and my way is clear.
Watching a parade, I hear the upbeat cadence of the next marching band in the distance. I wait and watch. Then the school banner, held high, appears. This standard introduces the band members, who are confidently following behind.

Just as students choose a leader they can trust to carry the flag high, I choose my faith in God to lead me through any situation. Faith leads me through all circumstances and is with me at journey's end.

I trust that with God I can do all things. My faith goes before me, and I follow, assured that I am on my right path, certain that my route is safe, and secure that all needs are met. I move forward with my focus on faith, and my way is clear.

"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to set out for a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; and he set out, not knowing where he was going."--Hebrews 11:8

Guidance

The Christ Light of understanding shines through my every word and action.

Jesus' parents traveled a day's journey with a group leaving Jerusalem before they realized their young son had been left behind. Mary and Joseph returned to find Jesus in the temple, discussing spiritual ideas seemingly beyond His years. At a very early age, Jesus was allowing His spiritual light to shine for the benefit of those around Him.

My own beacon of awareness is revealed when I look beyond habitual, established ways of understanding life. Guided from within, I am willing to change the way I speak and act, and my Christ Light of understanding shines more brightly. Prayer and meditation help me keep my light shining brightly so that my daily decisions reflect growth and spiritual understanding.

I thank God for spiritual light that shines through my words and actions.

"And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers."--Luke 2:47

Gratitude

I am grateful for the constant flow of God's blessings in my life.

I welcome this day with a thankful heart. Beginning my morning in this way cultivates an attitude of gratitude not only for special occasions but for every day.

As I arise from a peaceful night, I give thanks to God for rest received and for blessings to come. This sets a positive tone, one that attracts life-enhancing experiences to me.

Sharing a simple "thank you" with others generates good feelings. My gratefulness is contagious and becomes a positive, attitude-changing influence.

At the close of the day, I again express my gratitude to God. I give thanks for the kind thoughts of others, an inspiring sunset, and happy times spent with family and friends. And most of all, I give thanks for the constant flow of God's good in my life.

"For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, provided it is received with thanksgiving."--1 Timothy 4:4

Surprise
I am enthusiastic about life!

To children, surprise may be their response to a fun party, an unexpected gift, or a new discovery. A surprise can be something fun, unforeseen, and new for me also.

At times I am so amazed by a turn of events that it leaves me feeling overjoyed and blessed. And when a situation turns out better than expected, I am delighted.

My feeling surprised about a good outcome is a kind of wake-up call for me to accept something wonderful. It jump-starts my feeling of enthusiasm for life and being thankful to God for it all.

Removing any limitations on the goodness of God, I welcome my blessings.

"All the people saw him walking and praising God, and they recognized him as the one who used to sit and ask for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him."--Acts 3:9-10

Free
I am free to transform my life in every needed way.
Because my true nature is spiritual, I am free in mind, body, and soul. Old ways of speaking, thinking, and acting have no hold on me as I deepen my understanding of my spiritual nature and develop new practices for daily living.
Just as a document or an agreement can be edited and amended with new information, my mental and emotional framework is enhanced as I grow in spiritual understanding. Affirming a new awareness that I want to embody helps me claim my transformation.
Turning to God in prayerful meditation, I give thanks for the awareness I have and for new expressions of freedom to come. I continue to transform my life as I strengthen and deepen my awareness of the truth of my being: I am free!

"If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."--John 8:31-32

Let Go, Let God
I say yes to the blessing of God's love.
Clearing negative thoughts from my mind is much like removing grime from a window. Just as washing away a film on glass allows a clearer view and welcomes the warmth of sunlight, prayer helps me gain clarity and become centered in the warmth of God's love. Removing cluttered thinking is a sure way to let go and let the love of God shine on my circumstances.
Quiet times of prayer allow me to focus on the affirmative and to be open to God's guidance. In these moments, I relax as I breathe. With each breath, I trust divine love to show me a more positive view of my life and its unfolding events. This time of release steadies me and assures me that continued, limitless blessings are mine. I let go and let God's love fill my life in marvelous ways.

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act."--Psalm 37:5

Prepared
I am ready to take on the day!
On the job or at home, I am prepared for whatever it is that I am to do. I have the intelligence to know how to go about doing things that bring about the best results. I have the energy to keep on keeping on.
I am not doing anything on my own. The very life and intelligence of God are my constant, unfailing resources. I have more than confidence; I have the assurance that God is my help in every need.
I balance times of planning and doing with times of prayer and meditation. Whatever information I collect in my mind, I also need to retrieve. The more relaxed and assured I am when retrieving information, the easier it is for me to bring it forward when needed. Being prepared, I am ready to take on the day.

"He answered, 'Let us go on to the neighboring towns, so that I may proclaim the message there also; for that is what I came out to do.' "--Mark 1:38

World Peace
In this season of love, we share our gifts of peace with the world.
To experience peace in the world, we first know peace within ourselves. World peace emanates from our individual expressions of the love of God both internally and out into our day-to-day lives. As we allow divine love to remove all fear, we understand that peace is ours here and now.
Allowing God's peace to take hold in our hearts and our minds, we are empowered to share our gifts of peace with the world. By sharing of ourselves and listening to others, we show compassion and kindness. As we allow ourselves to accept, enjoy, and appreciate our fellow human beings, divine peace emerges from us, reaching out and expanding to all the world.

"Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way ... It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."--1 Corinthians 13:4-5, 7
