Guided by Love


I am guided by the love of God.


I am immersed in the flow of God's love that continually guides and blesses me. It is my guiding presence, strengthening me in mind and body and helping me be a greater expression of peace and love in the world.

Just as a leaf effortlessly flows along on a river, gently floating around and over any obstacle in its path, I effortlessly flow along on the river of life.

As I relax and allow myself to be guided by the love of God, I experience the gentle peace of knowing that regardless of appearances, I am being divinely led along the path of life that is right for me.

Led by the love of God, I learn the lessons I am meant to learn and reach the spiritual understanding that only I can experience for myself.

Comfort

I am enfolded in infinite love.


At the end of the day, I look forward to the comfort of my favorite chair. As I relax into the cushions, I begin to let go of the day's events. I feel secure and peaceful.

I turn my attention now to the presence of God within me. God's loving presence is always with me.

As my awareness of this divine love deepens, I have the strength to meet any challenge and the peace of knowing that I am never alone.

I hold others in thoughts of love and strength, knowing that God's comforting presence is active within them.

Whether we are in the same room or separated by a great distance, the spirit of God shelters us and enfolds us with infinite love.

If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.--Proverbs 3:24

Life

The perfect life of God within renews me day by day.


The energy of God renews the earth after fire, earthquakes or floods.

New life pushes up through the ash, the debris and the mud. In the same way, God in me renews and heals me no matter what the appearance or experience.

Regardless of what happens in the outer world, there is an eternal, unchanging perfect life beyond the visible.

As I calm my thoughts, release my fears, and open my heart to that perfect life, I open to the flow of healing that is always available.

Healing flows freely into my body and mind from the infinite Source of life. It cannot be limited or damaged by the physical world. This life is the truth of my being and through it I experience renewal.

We look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.--2 Corinthians 4:18

Ability

I am confident in my ability to succeed.


I am naturally drawn to the idea of improving my life and discovering greater meaning and purpose.

Today I have the courage to step out of my comfort zone and turn my desire for improvement into action.

Perhaps there is something I have always dreamed of doing. God has given me the tools that I need, and I am confident of my ability to succeed.

I sense divine timing--I can do this now; I have all that I require; I am ready! This is the call of Spirit and it is a precious testament to Holy Spirit working in me.

Empowered by my faith in God, I answer the call. I move into new circles, stepping forward to new breakthroughs.

I am confident that with every step, Spirit within lovingly supports and guides me. I have the ability, the faith and the confidence to succeed.

They replied, "We are able."--Mark 10:39

Guidance

The wisdom of God is revealed through me.


Through the wisdom of God deep within me, I am connected with all life and all creation. Through my intuition, I perceive God's guidance and allow it to enlighten and inspire me. I allow it to show me the way.

Trusting my intuition, I know what to do and where to go in any situation. The wisdom of God enables me to anticipate the good in my life and discover new ways to bring it into expression.

As I allow the wisdom of God to express through my intuition, I become a means through which God's wisdom is revealed in the world. I trust my intuition and give thanks for each opportunity to be inwardly guided.

I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?--Isaiah 43:19

Excellence


It is not I, but the Christ within who does the work.


From time to time I may notice my thoughts have turned to finding fault in either myself or others. A better choice is to strive for excellence in all that I think, say and do.

There is a higher standard of being I wish to live up to--one that is not found in criticism, blame or guilt. It is achieved through a conscious and mindful connection with the Christ within.

Through the wisdom of the Christ within, I make healthier, more positive, productive choices. Success manifests in my life as I become the very best person I can be.

Living each day in a Christ-centered way, I affirm: It is not I, but the Christ within who does the work. With that statement as my mantra, I reach the heights of living excellently.

Show yourself in all respects a model of good works.--Titus 2:7

Patience


I patiently await answered prayer.


When attempting to undo a knot, I know that patiently working to loosen one thread at a time is more effective than tugging fiercely in all directions.

If I'm faced with a complex problem, I know that patiently taking my time, working gently with one issue at a time, is more effective and less stressful.

Guidance comes with each movement, and I patiently allow the process to unfold.

As I gently work with one aspect of the situation at a time, I remain calm and clear-headed. I continue forward with faith. All sense of stress has left me. I am content and confident that all is well.

Lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.--Ephesians 4:1-2

Joy

Centered in God, I joyfully allow my good.


I am joyful even as I feel the need for something more in my life.

Whether I desire financial abundance, a healthy body or a closer walk with God, I know with complete faith and trust that it is now coming into being.

I'm willing to experience the joyful stage of waiting in the creative process. My life is always expanding, so I choose to be joyful while anticipating my highest good!

I put my mind on God and appreciate the continuous creative process of asking and receiving. I am deeply grateful as I receive the blessings of answered prayer.

Every day is a miracle, filled with opportunities to give and to receive. In joyful awareness of God, I am open and receptive to my greatest good.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.--John 15:7

Harmony


I fulfill my divine purpose as I bring God's love into the world.
Perhaps my loved ones and I hold different opinions on certain topics or issues. No matter how different our perspectives appear to be, we share one thing in common--we are each expressions of God's love.

When we have a difference of opinion, I look beyond the seeming boundaries of the disagreement to find our common ground. I listen with respect and love in order to gain a greater understanding of myself, my loved one and our life experiences.

Focused on the love of God that guides the mind and soothes the soul, I look for solutions that will be mutually fulfilling and harmonious. With a generous spirit and a desire for common good, I strive to bring God's love into the world.

I appeal to you ... that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose.--1 Corinthians 1:10

Spiritual Life

I am a spiritual being, living a spiritual life.


As a spiritual being, I am blessed with freedom--freedom from negative thoughts and fear, freedom to celebrate the goodness of God in all its glory. With this freedom comes an inner wisdom that guides my thoughts, words and actions.

I celebrate this freedom now by giving thanks for abundant blessings--for family and friends, success and fulfillment, joy and peace. I give thanks that as a spiritual being, I live in awareness of God's good.

Through this awareness, I am receptive to the gifts of Spirit--truth, peace, joy and abundance. I see beyond situations that I find troubling and focus on the truth that I am one with the all-knowing, all-providing presence of God.

This day shall be a day of remembrance for you. You shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord.--Exodus 12:14

Service

I offer my service to people in need.


In our increasingly interconnected world, there is a vast spectrum of experiences at any given moment.

We are all part of the human family, and when our brothers and sisters suffer, we suffer as well. What affects one family member affects us all.

If we are unsure about how to help someone in need, we look to God for guidance.

We might be called to volunteer at a local nursing home, donate books to a library, mentor school children or send money to a worthy charity.

We choose activities that resonate with our hearts and match our talents and resources.

Today we begin the cycle of giving. Serving fellow members of our human family brings joy and fulfillment, for we know we are participating in truly sacred work.

This is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.--1 John 3:11

Faith


My faith brings results.


By focusing on my blessings, it's easy to prove my faith. As I pay close attention, I notice the small gifts that come my way--a smile, a word of thanks, the sun breaking through the clouds, a succession of green lights on my drive home. These little blessings add up as I choose to focus on the daily miracles in my life.

It is the everyday moments and my present awareness in those moments that define my experience of life. They reflect where I focus my attention and energy.

I choose to focus on Spirit's unfailing presence. I have faith that whatever I need is here with me right now. I have faith that every prayer is answered. I have faith that with Spirit all is well.

Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well.--Matthew 9:22

World Peace

The world is awakening to the truth that divine love prevails.


Through global media, I have continual access to information on world events. I know about earthquakes, floods, famine and wars.

I know about success and upheaval. But all I really need to know is: Divine love prevails. This is the truth that I hold in my heart.

The power of divine love begins with me. Because of love, I reach out to family, friends and the world community and act with compassion and understanding.

Because of love, I keep a positive attitude, beholding the absolute good in each one of us. Because of love, I affirm wholeness and peace for all as I hold the world in prayer.

Prayer by prayer, thought by thought, moment by moment, the heart of every person is touched by the grace and truth of love.

Love covers all offenses.--Proverbs 10:12

Forgive

I release; I forgive; I am free and at peace.


Cleaning out a drawer or closet brings a sense of order and satisfaction. Letting go of what is no longer needed makes room for what is fresh and new.

Similarly, I can choose to keep or release the stored feelings and replayed thoughts that occupy my mind. Old feelings of resentment or blame serve no useful purpose; rather, they weigh heavily on my mind and body and hold me back. If I find it difficult to let go, I call upon God's grace to free me from the weight of unforgiveness.

Gently, I accept God's help. I let go, knowing this is not my burden to carry. I forgive myself and others and open the way to freedom and peace of mind and heart.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.--Luke 6:37

Confident

I am a powerful, confident child of God.


Taking a moment to measure my level of self-confidence, I ask myself several important questions: How do I carry myself? Do I have good posture?

Do I have a positive self-image? Do I communicate clearly to others? Am I able to say "no" when necessary? Am I living authentically? The answers give me a sense of my level of confidence.

I then turn to God in prayer, allowing God's presence to illumine my mind and heart. In the silence, I reconnect with the essence of my being. Newfound energy surges within me, and my heart fills with optimism.

Prayer readies me for any challenge or adventure. I meet the day ahead with ease and grace. My words, actions and manner convey the power of the Christ at work within me.

Do not, therefore, abandon that confidence of yours; it brings a great reward.--Hebrews 10:35

Free

Standing in the fullness of my true nature, I am free.


I am free. What a powerful statement!

By speaking these three simple words, I create the space for true freedom in my life. I release the chains of the past and invite the possibilities of the future.

To be free is to no longer stand in a place of pain, anger and hurt but to move forward into peace, joy and happiness. It is as simple as choosing to accept my divine birthright of freedom rather than the restrictions I have accepted as truth.

I am a spiritual being, unhampered by the limitations of the world. I am free.

No longer do I buy into a limited story of my life. Instead, I stand in the fullness of my true nature.

I accept that in Spirit and in Truth, I am absolutely and unconditionally free.

If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.--John 8:36

Slow Down

I slow down, simplify and enjoy life.


At any moment, I can restore a sense of peaceful presence in my life. I close my eyes and become aware of my thoughts.

I notice my body. I notice my breath. I inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

As I take another breath, I consciously connect with Spirit within me and around me. I relax, knowing that in this instant, all is in perfect order.

Throughout the day, no matter how busy I become, I do this simple exercise.

While driving to work, preparing for an important meeting, or getting ready to visit with family or friends, I take a moment to enjoy my oneness with Spirit.

Choosing to consciously slow down and become fully present helps me enjoy every single moment of my life.

There is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves.--Ecclesiastes 3:12

Expect Good

I step confidently into each new experience, expecting only good.
Every day offers a variety of encounters and experiences.

Often I find my experience mirrors my expectations. If I begin with fear or dread, I often have an unpleasant experience.

If I am looking forward to what's next, anticipating a new adventure, I often have a rewarding experience.

Since I get to choose my thoughts, I choose to expect good.

And why wouldn't I expect good? The indwelling Spirit is my constant companion.

Even in the face of difficult circumstances, Spirit does not fail. I receive wisdom and guidance through divine ideas.

I receive strength and energy through the power of Spirit within me. I am fully supported. In faith, I expect only good in my life.

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "Do not fear, I will help you."--Isaiah 41:13

Divine Order

I live in the divine order of peace and love.


Today I claim my Truth. The presence and power of God work in, through and as my life, blessing others and blessing me.

I recognize the interconnectedness of all human beings and trust that every situation and person has the potential to contribute to my life in a positive way.

I create order in my life and seek only the good, assured that as I seek, so I shall find.

Through divine order, my life is transformed. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Every apparent problem brings with it a divine solution. Every solution held in mind brings a greater expression of divine love. Divine order is always present and active in my life allowing me to live in peace and love.

Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.--Psalm 119:16

NewEndeavor

I seek God's guidance as I begin anew.


Before I embark on a new endeavor in life, I take a few moments to engage in a visioning prayer. This type of prayer is an excellent tool for guiding me forward. I enter into a time of communion with God as I pray:

Dear God, I thank You for the opportunity to participate in this sacred enterprise. I feel the divine calling within me to step forward and take on new responsibilities. I ask specifically, What is my role? What is mine to do?

With these words resonating within me, I pause in quiet reflection. I allow images to dance across my mind and ideas to leap from my heart about the innovation, expertise or support I can bring to this new endeavor. My mission and goals come into sharp focus. With God's guidance, I begin.

The Lord will guide you continually.--Isaiah 58:11

Grace

I am one with God's love, now and forever.


Taking time apart from outer activities, I consider the love of God within that never fades and never fails. It is my comfort, regardless of my past and despite any challenges today or tomorrow.

In the serenity of meditation and prayer, I contemplate the depth and breadth of the endless love which abides in the deepest part of me. The love of God sustains and nourishes me, heals and prospers me, inspires and calms me, no matter what.

The love of God is a constant support and resource within me and also within the people I care about. I give thanks for God's love that enables us all to respond to life in mindful and meaningful ways.

Neither death, nor life ... nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God.--Romans 8:38, 39

Inner Peace

I am now enfolded in the peace of God.


If I were to wait until the world's conflicts were resolved before discovering my own peace, I would be searching for something outside myself that is already within.

The spirit of God within me is my center of peace--so I gently bring my attention inward. Here is where I find peace and serenity.

Instead of waiting for the world to give me peace, I give my peace to the world. Centering my thoughts on the peace within, I let tranquillity flow from me through my words and actions.

To the person who is upset, I am a patient listener. To the child who is fearful, I am the soothing voice of composure. I fully participate in life from the peace of God within my soul. I am God's peace in expression.

To set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.--Romans 8:6

Success

I enjoy my life's journey, and I am successful.


What does success mean to me? As I consider this question, I think of the story of the tortoise and the hare.

The tortoise moved slowly along his path, enjoying his journey and the animals he met along the way.

In contrast, the hare sped along, paying little attention to his surroundings, eventually falling asleep, and completely missing out on the joy of the journey.

I choose to enjoy my life's journey, experience exciting adventures and meet new people along the way. I am not preoccupied with material gains or outward demonstrations of success.

I measure success by the blessings I give and receive. True success comes from Spirit. At one with the indwelling Spirit, I am successful.

David had success in all his undertakings; for the Lord was with him.--1 Samuel 18:14

Pray for Others

You make a difference.


The men and women who serve my community as police officers, firefighters and emergency responders take an oath to protect and provide comfort and peace of mind in times of crisis.

Each is trained to perform quickly and efficiently. I honor and respect everyone who serves my community, and I support them with prayer.

When I see an emergency vehicle, I know it is helping someone in need.

I bless everyone involved by affirming wisdom and safety for the responders and health, safety and divine order for all those affected. I affirm right outcomes, knowing that God is within each individual and in the circumstance.

I support all in my community with caring and affirmative prayer.

I am grateful to God ... when I remember you.--2 Timothy 1:3

Prosperity

By the grace of God, I am unlimited.


It may be fun to wonder: "If money were no object, where would I go, what would I do?" But money does not define my prosperity. My wealth is not limited to the dollars in my bank account.

The abundance of the universe is mine. Every blade of grass, every grain of sand and every particle of air is here for me and for all. By the grace and goodness of God, I am unlimited. I am wealthy beyond measure because I am one with God.

I give thanks for the unlimited good that surrounds me. All that I am, all that I have, all that I give and all that I receive are part of God's infinite and unlimited good flowing to me and through me right now.

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.--Jeremiah 29:11

Sunshine

The light of God surrounds me.


On this day, when half of our planet experiences the longest day of the year and half experiences the shortest day, I celebrate the light of the sun.

I am warmed by its rays, nurtured by its light, and awed by its colorful displays in the morning and evening sky. The sun's presence exemplifies the order of God's universe, which is as constant in me as it is in the heavens.


God is the light that surrounds me, the love that enfolds me, the power that protects me, and the presence that watches over me.


With gratitude, I celebrate the light of the sun that brings life to the planet and the light of God that brings life to me. I shine my light by being a presence for good in the world.


The sun rises and the sun goes down, and hurries to the place where it rises.--Ecclesiastes 1:5

Open Heart

Through Christ within, I live a life of love.


When a tense situation develops with others, I breathe deeply, turn to the Christ within and allow inner wisdom to inspire my thoughts, words and actions.

The natural result is an open heart and inner calm. I hold loving thoughts, and I am gentler with others and myself. Christ within is the cause and the fulfillment of greater understanding, kindness and love.

I am the artist of my life, and I color my world with love. I picture myself in harmony with others, and my powerful feelings and thoughts create my experience.

Each person I welcome into my heart adds a richer dimension to my life, contributing to an evolving masterpiece of contrast, light and color.

Whoever loves a brother or sister lives in the light, and in such a person there is no cause for stumbling.--1 John 2:10

Protected

I am confident, safe and secure in oneness with the Presence.


Nature protects its own in various ways: Seeds are encased in protective pods as they grow and mature; a fawn is born with a dappled coat to better hide it from predators; chameleons change colors to blend with their surroundings.

I am protected by the divine Presence, which gives me wisdom to make right choices and love to harmonize with all that is good. Through the Presence, I am empowered to establish order, security, strength and peace in my life.

Any time I face uncertainty, I claim my oneness with divine Presence. I trust the wisdom, love and order inherent in me to guide my decision-making. I am safe and secure.

You will have confidence, because there is hope; you will be protected and take your rest in safety.--Job 11:18

Knock

I open my mind and heart to the goodness of God.


Prayer is the knocking that opens the door of my consciousness to the flow of God's good.

Prayer prepares me to receive by increasing my awareness of my oneness with God. Prayer focuses me inward and away from outer circumstances.

Becoming relaxed, calm and peaceful, I knock, and the door is opened.

I ask in faith, giving thanks in advance for the answers that are forthcoming. I wait in faithful knowing for the guidance and insight I seek.

I realize that my heart's desires first came to me through my soul's knowing that with God all things are possible. With confidence, I go about my day in peaceful expectancy, for I have opened my mind and heart to the continuous flow of God's goodness.

Ask, and it will be given you ... knock and the door will be opened for you.--Matthew 7:7

Let Go, Let God

Letting go and letting God, I am confident, peaceful and strong.


A young child may latch onto a favorite stuffed animal or an old blanket and carry it with them wherever they go.

When the child is lonely, scared or tired, this "security blanket" is comforting.

Eventually, the child learns to let go of the item and becomes aware of his or her ability to cope with these unsettling feelings.

As an adult, I may revert to fear, anxiety or doubt when I am faced with a life challenge.

The security of old thought patterns may be more comforting to me than taking a different path. However, as I learn to let go and let God, I find that God has instilled in me all that I need to face life with confidence and composure.

Today I put away my security blanket. I let go, and I let God. And I am at peace.

Do not worry about anything.--Philippians 4:6

I am beloved of God.


There may be one special person in my life whom I dearly love. It could be a parent, a child, a sibling, a spouse, a friend. I feel a special connection with this person that calls to me from deep within.

In much the same way, I am beloved of God. I am the son or daughter of the Creator. The love of God is shown to me in many ways--through the beauty of nature, through thoughts of kindness and compassion, through unexpected opportunities and through the love of other people.

I open my heart to find and feel the fullness of Spirit and my connection with God wherever I am. What a joy it is to know that there is no limit to God's love for me, this day and every day!

A voice came from heaven, "You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased."--Mark 1:11

Comfort

I am comforted by the love and presence of God.


As my life moves forward over the years, I experience times of joy, times of peace and sometimes moments of sadness.

I may feel sorrow over a loss or discontentment over a condition or circumstance in my life. Especially at times such as these, I turn to God.

The love and presence of God provides me with comfort that calms my very soul. I look to the source of all good. As a result, my focus on any seeming upsets or difficult conditions begins to diminish.

Instead of discord, I find consolation and clarity. The warmth of the spirit of God brings serenity and harmony to my life, and I am at peace.

I will turn their mourning into joy, I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.--Jeremiah 31:13

Guidance

The wisdom of Spirit guides me.


Making big decisions--like buying a home, changing jobs or moving to a new city--requires me to take specific action. I may need to seek the guidance of an expert or do research.

I also take the most important step: I ask for divine guidance by consciously connecting with Spirit through prayer and meditation.

The answers I receive after time in the silence may surprise me.

I may move in a new direction or evaluate my plans from a different angle. Regardless, I recognize Spirit's guidance because it always comes from a place of love and wisdom.

In touch with Spirit, I make decisions for my highest good and move forward with confidence.

Then the angel of God said to me in the dream, "Jacob," and I said. "Here I am!"--Genesis 31:11

Mindfulness

I am alive and awake in the present moment.


When I am mindful, I am fully conscious of the present moment. My thoughts are not fixed on the past or projected into the future.

Alive with awareness, I don't let life pass me by. I am present and able to make conscious choices.

If I find myself waiting in line or stalled in traffic, I do not indulge in frustration. Instead, I bring a sense of joy and aliveness into the moment.

I pause and give thanks. I am mindful, aware and appreciative of how Spirit breathes in and through me. I center myself in gratitude and acceptance.

Being mindful, I am clearheaded and aware of inner guidance. I don't hold on to doubt, worry or frustration. I create the life I desire one moment at a time.

The Lord has been mindful of us; he will bless us.--Psalm 115:12

Faith

I plant seeds of faith, which grow into the garden of my life.


An acorn holds within it the promise of a vibrant oak tree but no potential for an apple tree.

The kind of faith seed I plant determines what will mature in my life as well.

I ask myself, Where am I placing my faith?

Am I focusing on those things I want to see growing in my life or focusing on my difficulties? When I want harmony and love, I put my faith in God's love.

When I desire prosperity, I put my faith in the always available abundance of God's kingdom.

Today I sow and nurture seeds of faith in God's goodness. I know these seeds will germinate in their own time.

I nourish my faith with prayers of gratitude, knowing that a glorious garden of harmony, love and prosperity is being prepared for me.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.--Hebrews 11:1

Rejoice

I rejoice and give thanks for blessings great and small.
Today I look for blessings and find them all around me.

I pause to notice the brilliant sunshine or, perhaps, the refreshing rain. I choose to be thankful, no matter the weather.

I rejoice in the goodness of all people--those I hold near and dear and those who are a world away. I behold their divinity and pray they feel the joy of knowing God's love.

Blessings come in many forms. Some are welcomed and easy to distinguish, while others are recognized only through the lens of steadfast faith and overcoming.

Throughout this day, I remember to rejoice and give thanks for blessings great and small so that I may realize the sublime joy in each moment of communion with God.

Let your faithful rejoice in your goodness.--2 Chronicles 6:41

Forgive


Through forgiveness, I am free to live a full and joyful life.


If in the course of my day I accumulate resentments, it is like picking up rocks and putting them in my pocket.

If I collect the rocks and hold on to them day after day, month after month, I feel the burden grow.

When I refuse to let resentments go, I am weighed down by the hurt and anger I carry.

Forgiveness means looking beyond behaviors.

Without condoning hurtful actions, I accept that each of us is doing the best we can in that moment. The truth is that we are all children of God and nothing can diminish or change that.

As I release the belief that I can lose my good or lose my power, I let go of the negativity weighing me down and I forgive. Freed of resentment, I am ready to love others, to laugh and to live joyfully.

Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone.--Mark 11:25

Remember

I lovingly remember others.


Remembering those who have given their lives in service, I reflect upon their sacrifice.

I learn from the lessons they taught and from their accomplishments. I also remember the people who have made a meaningful contribution in my life. Because of them I have learned to live more fully.

Just as I build upon the acts and achievements of those who have gone before me, others may build upon my life's example. As I remember others today, others may remember me in the future.

Today I take a few moments to appreciate those who taught me by example, to honor those who showed me the way.

Intention

I fulfill my purpose as I share love with the world.


Mother Teresa once said, "It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters." What a beautiful illustration of the power of right intention and the blessing of acting in love.

What is my intention today? What mark do I want to make in the world? I have a desire to be genuine with all whom I meet.

I have a desire to demonstrate my faith in God and to be a light in the world. As I share my light with others, I feel purposeful and my life follows a divinely directed path.

I attract unlimited good, and I experience relationships that are happy and fulfilling. I am a channel of love and light.

My purpose shall stand, and I will fulfill my intention.--Isaiah 46:10

Light of God

The light of God shines through me.


We have all heard the expression, "God never closes a door without opening a window."

Yet at times I may not see any windows open to me. If I'm seeing only lack and limitation, I look beyond appearances to the Truth.

I am the conduit, the passageway, through which possibilities appear.

I am actually the window that I seek, and the light of God shines through me.

As I open my heart and mind to my inner Christ Light, it shines forth, illuminating the way to my highest good.

I allow my creative energy to flow, becoming enthusiastic about new opportunities ahead.

I say yes to prospects for good, giving thanks to God, for I am a window through which the Christ Light shines.

Thanks be to God, who in Christ ... and through us spreads in every place the fragrance that comes from knowing him.--2 Corinthians 2:14

Protected

I am divinely protected in all ways.


What a comfort it is to know that I am always guided and supported by the presence of God, especially in times of change or challenge.

There is only one Presence and one Power, God the good, omnipotent.

Nothing and no one has power greater than this. Centered in this truth, I know that all is well.

Whatever I may be experiencing, I know that God is in me and God is also in the situation.

Within me are the wisdom and strength I need to handle whatever circumstance may arise. Divine guidance and direction lead me through.

No matter what the appearance, I am divinely protected in all ways.

When you walk through fire you shall not be burned.... For I am the Lord your God.--Isaiah 43:2, 3

Gifts of Spirit

I am supported by the presence of God.


Holding an image in mind of what I can do and the gifts and powers that are available to me opens wide the doors of possibility.

In times of challenge, spiritual imagery helps me to recognize and gratefully accept the blessings I have been given.

To keep my thoughts and imagination on the divine gifts of Spirit, I pray and meditate on Spirit within and around me. I am in the midst of the presence of God right here and now. And through the Presence, I have all I need to succeed, to change my circumstances, to be the best that I can be.

I immerse myself in this inner knowing of divine support, and I move forward. I accept the gifts of Spirit and do what is mine to do.

The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.--John 14:26

I promote harmony by being at peace.


We are the peace of God in expression right where we are.

As we join with one another in thought, prayer and action, we contribute to a sacred network of harmony, a powerful consciousness of peace that is growing person by person every day.

In every neighborhood, community, city and country, we promote harmony, mutual understanding and cooperation as expressions of our spiritual nature, our true nature.

We recognize and treat one another as sacred beings who are sharing in the abundance of our divine inheritance. Each thoughtful word and caring gesture is evidence of the love of God expressing through us to the world.

The dawn from on high will break upon us, ... to guide our feet into the way of peace.--Luke 1:78, 79

Transcend


I transcend myself and my circumstances, for I am Spirit.


At times I may try to change or control a situation through the power of my will or thoughts. But with prayer, I move beyond willpower, beyond thought. With prayer, I am lifted above my problems.

As I pray, I release the situation to which I've been giving my attention and I affirm: I transcend myself and all my circumstances, for I am Spirit. I am a spiritual being, having a human experience. Centered in God, I am filled with divine light, life, love and power.

I have within me untapped spiritual resources, unused spiritual powers, unexplored realms of being. As I lift my consciousness through prayer, I lay hold of and call into expression spiritual qualities and powers that transcend my human understanding.

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.--Acts 1:8

Kindness

I am a kind and loving human being.


When I am kind, I feel connected to my spiritual center, to the light of God within. When I am gracious to someone, I help light up the world. Through even the smallest act of kindness, the love of God is expressing through me.

When I offer my time and attention, when I offer a compassionate word or a caring touch, I am saying, "I honor your presence. I acknowledge and value you." In that instant of grace, we each connect with the Divine.

Kindness removes all tiredness and strain. It lightens my mood and floods my mind and body with joyous energy. In loving others, I am doing that which brings me closest to God, for God is love.

Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor.--Proverbs 21:21

I rest in the steadfast love of God.


Comfort is expressed and experienced in many ways--a mother calming her child, a home-cooked meal, a trusted friend willing to listen in a time of need. Within and beyond these examples is the unfailing love of God.

I do not have to meet grief or loneliness alone. God strengthens me beyond my own human strength.

I lean on God in times of sorrow and find support, peace and rest. I am wrapped in the blanket of God's love, lifted up and cared for.

My heart finds peace in knowing that I will move through this experience, any experience, bravely and courageously, because I am not alone. God is with me.

Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant.--Psalm 119:76

Magnify

My mind stays centered on Spirit.


Whatever receives my attention is magnified.

So I ask myself, Where am I putting my attention? When I place my focus on a circumstance or thought, it expands.

When I notice a pain or an irritation and give it my attention, my aggravation increases.

Likewise, when I hold a thought of the many ways I am blessed, my sense of appreciation builds.

When I notice what I focus on, I become aware of where my attention lies.

If I wish to change, I can make a deliberate choice to switch my focus to that which uplifts my spirit and blesses others.

A simple shift in the direction of my thoughts changes my day, and my life, for the better.

The Lord was pleased, ... to magnify his teaching and make it glorious.--Isaiah 42:21

Sabbath

I open my mind to God's rest and peace.


I trust in the presence and power of God to provide whatever I need today.

God is creative energy and spiritual substance working in and through me. In prayer, I ask, give thanks and know that it is given. Even though I cannot yet see the results, I cease asking and wait.

I enter into a time of Sabbath as I rest from doubt and fear. Releasing any struggle or mental strain about how my good will come, I trust that God in me is doing the work. I let go, and I let God.

I anticipate the fulfillment of my needs with eagerness and joy. My highest good is now on its way.

I expect great things and give great thanks. In my time of Sabbath, my mind and heart are open to God's peace.

The Father who dwells in me does his works.--John 14:10

Grace

Through God's grace, I receive more good than I ever imagined.



God's grace appears in countless ways. It might be a helping hand when I'm in need, an unexpected check in the mail or the right person entering my life at the perfect time. It is God's grace that gives me the ability to tune in to the peace I seek at any given moment and to access an attitude of gratitude in every situation of life.

It is God's good pleasure to give me the kingdom. With my heart open to receive, I am able to see and experience the peace, joy and love of God that are always available to me.

Through grace I receive more good than I ever imagined. Grace is a blessing and a gift, and I am grateful.

Strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.--Luke 12:31-32

Forgive

Love is the answer.

If past or present mistakes have a hold on me, I can counteract them by letting love so permeate my whole being that it generates forgiveness. Love dissolves all my confusion, criticism and resentment.

The situations and circumstances in my life that have seemed hurtful, that have caused me unhappiness, loneliness or frustration, are not God's will for me; for God wills only good for me and for all others.

As I let love transform my pain into acceptance, wholeness and strength, I experience the peace of forgiveness. Divine love fulfills my every need.

My whole life is enriched with new and satisfying experiences of happiness, success, radiant health and right companionship.

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.--Matthew 5:44

Ascend

I allow my spirit to soar in oneness with God.
Anytime a situation seems confusing or hopeless, most likely I am viewing it from a perspective of human limitation.

Instead, I have the innate power to see any circumstance from a spiritual perspective by turning to God in prayer.

If I am seeing only problems and not solutions--illness and not wholeness, lack and not abundance--I sit quietly in the silence and re-establish my oneness with God. Affirming wisdom, wholeness and abundance, I begin to see things differently.

At one with infinite possibility, I scale the heights of human awareness and view the world as from above. Expressing oneness with God in all that I think, say and do, I allow my spirit to soar unimpeded.

The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one.--John 17:22

Faith

I use my faith in positive and intentional ways.


I may consider my faith to be weak or strong. While my faith is strengthened through prayer and attention, I must also make certain that my faith is rightly directed.

I use my faith when I pray for healing, yet I am also using faith when I worry about a loved one.

My intention in prayer is to experience a positive result, so I choose to recognize the feelings from which I pray.

I release any anxious feelings and pray with a sense of peace and positive faith. I become still and imagine only the best possible results.

I believe that these outcomes will come to pass. As I use intentional faith, my mind and heart are at ease and my trust in God grows ever stronger.

Jesus said, "Go; let it be done for you according to your faith." And the servant was healed in that hour.--Matthew 8:13

Guidance

I turn to God within and know my path is directed.


It is a blessing to turn within to God in prayer.

I make time every day to still my thoughts and focus my attention on the Presence.

When I face a challenging decision, I may want to ask friends and family what they think I should do. But the most direct path to an answer is to pray for divine guidance.


I offer up questions, both about the big decisions and the momentary choices, and I listen for the still small voice within.

Whether my guidance comes as an urging, a clear sense of direction or through the suggestion of a friend, I know it is meant for me. I am at peace when I act on this guidance.

I trust blessings to flow, knowing that all is working toward my highest good.


The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. ... He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.--Psalm 23:1, 3

Joy

Joy is only a thought away. I choose joy.


As I look back on my life, I may notice how my spirits have ebbed and flowed. I may remember days of deep sadness and days overflowing with laughter. There have been periods of optimism and passion, and times of sorrow.

Awareness of my emotions creates an opening for change. As I connect with Spirit, I feel peace, love and happiness flow through me. I notice that when I change my thoughts, my emotions change.

When I am feeling sadness, fear or anxiety, I remember that the choice is mine to keep my mind and heart attuned to Spirit. My every thought, word and action is an expression of the Spirit within.

I choose joy right here and right now.

The kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.--Romans 14:17

Nurture

I give thanks that I am loved and supported.
Mother Earth accepts each seed and enfolds it in love. She provides a place for roots to grow and nourishes the green shoots that reach toward the sun.


I give thanks today for my own mother. If I cannot speak with her or be with her, I send her my loving thoughts.

I give thanks for the arms that embraced me, for the nourishment of my body and soul, and for the encouraging words that inspired me to aim higher.


There are also ways that I may nurture and support others. No matter what my age or status in life, I have love to share.

The spirit of God is my ever-present source of support and encouragement. For love, both given and received, I am grateful.


He will feed his flock like a shepherd; ... and gently lead the mother sheep.--Isaiah 40:11

Positive Outlook

I meet every change with a positive spirit.


Do I meet the changes that occur in my life graciously and easily with a positive attitude? Or do I resist change or feel overwhelmed when changes occur?

Many changes are so obviously good that I can only feel happy when I experience them. Other changes may seem daunting. I have the choice to adopt a positive outlook and look for the good in all of life's circumstances.

I prepare myself to meet each day and its developments with a positive outlook. When I am called upon to make changes, I do so readily and with ease.

I may feel that life is perfect just the way it is, but when I keep an open mind, I discover the blessing even in uncertainty. Meeting change in this way, I enjoy the experience, whatever it may be.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.--Ecclesiastes 3:1

Prosperity


My life is abundant, and I share my abundance by serving others.


Sharing love and kindness comes naturally, like smiling at a stranger, helping a neighbor, cooking a meal, hugging a child.

When someone needs help or support, I give freely and easily. These are blessings of God expressing through me and as me.

My life in turn is abundantly blessed by all that I receive--a thoughtful note from a friend, the gift of a brilliant sunrise, a good night's sleep. My abundance is not measured by money or possessions. Instead, my abundance reflects the moment-to-moment blessings of God in my life.

Giving and receiving are bound tightly together. As I turn my thoughts to the blessings of life today, I am full of gratitude for each one given and received.

The measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.--Mark 4:24

Prayer

I am a spiritual being, an open channel for Spirit's expression.
Prayer is my path to successful living.

Prayer is seeking more light and more understanding. It is the deepening and expanding of my innate faith. Prayer is the enlivening of the Spirit within me.

To know myself as a spiritual being is to awaken in me a greater capacity for living and giving.

Bringing my thoughts and feelings into alignment with Divine Mind makes me a more open channel for Spirit's expression. By stirring up the God qualities within me, I create greater zeal and vitality.

The more I increase my awareness of the abundant spirit of God within me, the more richly I am blessed in everything I do and the more successfully I meet the experiences of life. For this, I am grateful.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.--Colossians 4:2

Mastery


Each day I grow in spiritual knowledge and practice.


Perhaps in the busyness of my daily activities I have overlooked spiritual practices that bring me peace and clarity. If that is the case, I simply seize the opportunity of this moment.

The presence of God is continually sharing itself with me.

In meditation, I clear my mind of distractions. I give no power to things that weaken or discourage me. I replenish my mind and soul with affirmations of Truth.

With faith and through practice, a new mastery is established in my consciousness. I am not so easily distracted by life's circumstances.

My connection with Spirit is deepened and strengthened as I grow in spiritual understanding and power.

They strengthened the souls of the disciples and encouraged them to continue in the faith.--Acts 14:22

Soar

I place my faith in God, and my spirit soars.


God within me is my spiritual strength, the power behind the unfolding of my life, the force that lifts me up in spirit, mind and body.

I am called to reach out beyond the parameters I have set for myself, aspiring to realize my divine potential.

I exercise my spiritual strength each time I do something new, whether it be starting a fitness program, entering into a business venture or awakening to a new day.

I may say a prayer before I begin, or my prayer may be the very act of beginning.

Like the eagle, I am meant to soar.

I am meant to let go of fear and limitation, to apply the strengths and abilities God has given me. I place my faith in God and my spirit soars to new heights.

Happy are those whose strength is in you.--Psalm 84:5

Inner Peace

I affirm the peace of God within me.


There is no other day like today. It is unique and special.

It is an opportunity to begin anew, to experience a clean slate, a new beginning.

As I begin this day, I feel the peace of living in this now moment, of experiencing God's good in all its splendor. Instead of looking back on the concerns of the past, I enjoy the moment--right here, right now--and the peace it brings.

Today is a new day, a day in which I lay down any fear or stress, a day in which I needn't be worried or concerned.

There is only now, only God, and with God, unlimited good is being revealed to me and through me.

Today is a special day, one in which I choose to live in peace.

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.--Psalm 118:24

I am a divine idea in expression, guided and inspired by God.
My mind and heart are like fertile soil as I turn to God in prayer.

Relaxing into the silence, I open my awareness to divine ideas, which lead me to manifest wholeness and abundance in my life.

Just as I might plant a tiny seed that will someday grow into a mighty tree, I plant the seeds of divine ideas within my consciousness through my thoughts and words.

I feed these ideas with wisdom and enthusiasm, and I nurture them with my actions and interactions.

Guided and inspired by God, I am alert to all the new possibilities life presents.

Giving thanks for right outcomes, I respond to life with passion as I mature mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

He will give rain for the seed with which you sow the ground.--Isaiah 30:23

Let Go, Let God

I am peaceful, free and secure as I release my concerns to God.


I may at times feel a strong desire to control a situation. What I may be affirming, however, is that certain events need to unfold in a particular way for me to feel happy and successful.

If I am being inflexible, I may not be allowing for the presence of God to work freely and completely in my life. But how do I let go of my desire to control?

One way is to step back, breathe and trust Spirit. In trusting, I release my need to control and turn instead to divine wisdom.

I trust this wisdom to guide me; to guide my thoughts, words and actions; and to lead me in right ways.

By allowing the situation to unfold as it will, I free myself from the need to control. In letting go, I experience peace and freedom.

The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.--Proverbs 16:9

Comfort


I feel the comfort of God's presence in every moment.


Many people find that in times of great need, they have a profound realization of the presence of God.

The sacred Presence is our unfailing source of strength and reassurance.

If I am in need, I let my awareness of God's presence wash over me, calming me.

I whisper reminders to myself: God is closer than my breath. Spirit is my comfort and my guidance. My fears and concerns melt away. My mind clears, and my heart steadies.

God is my wellspring of support at all times.

I move ahead now with confidence, for I know I am never alone. I live each day knowing that God guides me through both challenges and opportunities.

This is my comfort in my distress, that your promise gives me life.--Psalm 119:50

Teamwork

I am a spiritual being, expressing my divine nature.


When we work as a team, we give expression to our inner divine qualities and unite our creativity and inventiveness.

The result of what we accomplish together is greater than the sum of our individual efforts.

Synergy arises and energizes us as we collectively apply our hearts and minds to the task.

Whether at home, at work or in the community, our cooperation is evident. Everyone benefits from these interactions.

Cooperation enhances all ventures, keeping confrontation and impatience at bay.

As we express our higher spiritual natures, we enliven the work of our hands and our minds. We get the job done, and we do it well.

All things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.--Romans 8:28

Protected

The power of God protects me.


At times, birds will gather and drive away predators that approach their nesting sites.

Mother birds may pretend to be injured to draw would-be attackers away from the chick that has just flown from the nest.

Similarly, human parents often go to great lengths to protect their children.

God provides no less protection for me, for I am a child of God, created in the image and likeness of God.

I have powerful, built-in protection. As I choose love over fear, I consciously co-create a world of love.

Whenever I feel vulnerable or alone, I hold to the truth. I can never be apart from God's love; I am a part of God's love.

As a radiating center of life-affirming energy, I am enfolded in God's powerful protection.

Protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one.--John 17:11

Miracles

Miracles are ever-present and all around me.

Caught up in the busyness of the day or temporarily distracted by the challenges of life, I may overlook the miracles that surround me. But when I am fully present, I notice miracles everywhere--in nature, in others and in me.

The day I was born was miraculous--but so is every day when I take time to notice.
When I focus my attention here and now, I see the divine in everyone.
I see Spirit expressing in everything and every life situation. I am aware of the amazing manifestations of God. I wake up, pay attention and allow Spirit to flow through me. I remember that I, too, am a miracle and my life--right now--is blessed beyond measure.

Open my eyes, so that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.--Psalm 119:18

Our World

I am a conscious, conscientious part of a living world.


The abundant life on this planet provides for all my physical needs.

Everything I need comes directly or indirectly from the bounty of the earth.

Conscious of the interconnection of all life systems, I am amazed by the order that governs it all. I, too, am part of that order, an integral part of the web of life.

I live responsibly as a citizen of Earth, and I consciously do my part to protect and restore this beautiful planet. I join with my children, my grandchildren, neighbors and friends in living harmoniously with nature.

Aware of the impact I and others have on the systems that support all life, I am a conscientious inhabitant of God's abundant Earth.

This is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best.--Philippians 1:9-10

Playful

I relax into Spirit and have fun!


Play comes easily to children. They spend entire days engaged in joyful activity.

As an adult, I often become immersed in the seriousness of life and lose touch with the fun-loving child in me.

But when I allow myself to play, I feel connected to Spirit. I am in tune with the lighter side of life. Life seems more amusing when I realize it's not meant to be focused on stress and worry, but on freedom and joy.


When I turn within, I reconnect with my playful spirit. I embrace the happiness that is here for me every day. Play is a natural expression of my being, and another aspect of my growth. When I let go and let God, I enjoy life and play!


And all the people went up following him, playing on pipes and rejoicing with great joy, so that the earth quaked at their noise.--1 Kings 1:40

Guidance


The Christ light within guides my every step.

When the twists and turns of life leave me feeling disoriented, I allow myself to rest for a moment in order to find my direction again. When my mind is quiet, the Christ light within me is able to dispel the appearance of darkness or doubt.

To move forward again with ease and grace, I do not need to see the entire path before me. As I look for what is good, what is whole and what is holy, the right path unfolds. I find my direction easily and I move ahead with confidence.

I give thanks for every challenge and every opportunity, knowing that as I look only for the good, the Christ light illumines my way.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.--John 16:13

Prosperity


I prosper as I live a life of purpose.


Plans and goals are ways I focus my attention on getting where I want to go.

I may feel disappointed when a plan does not work out the way I want or a goal seems out of reach. Then I remember to redirect my attention on how to serve God.

I trust that all the good I desire will flow to me, even in ways I did not plan.

My purpose in life is to be the hands and feet of God. There are so many ways I can do that, my days are filled to overflowing.

When I remember this is my purpose, no matter what tasks are before me, I live in joy. Focused on my purpose, I notice that prosperity is also mine. When my purpose is to serve God, I am supported in all I do.

Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.--Psalm 112:3

World Peace

A new day dawns as we awaken to our Christ consciousness.


Each person on Earth is like a seed, a dormant shell of pure potential, waiting to be transformed into a flower.

We may not have discovered some of our divine attributes, but they are safely tucked within us, waiting to be called forth. Our perfect potential--the very essence of our wholeness--is there inside.

This divine essence is our Christ consciousness. As we awaken to it, we are transformed into wholeness. As we awaken, we live as Jesus lived; we love as Jesus loved. We experience a world of peace and joy.

As a new day dawns, we behold the promise of peace in our hearts and in our world. We are all part of God's radiant garden of humanity, growing into the perfect expression of peace and harmony.

Free


Self-Care

I take care of myself. I honor my needs.


Sometimes I may feel overwhelmed with the many responsibilities in my life. I may begin to feel sorry for myself or blame others for my situation. I know then it is time to reconnect with Spirit.I become quiet and listen to the still small voice within, guiding me in loving and caring for myself.


I take specific actions to ensure my health, my happiness and my peace of mind.I may say "no" to a request. I might take a nap or turn off the cell phone or take a solitary walk around the block.

By providing the self-care I need, when I need it, I replenish my mind, body and soul.I can more easily achieve my goals, be present to the people around me and fully realize Spirit within me. I move into a higher state of consciousness and directly into feelings of love--for myself and others.


You are our glory and joy!--1 Thessalonians 2:20

Faith

I have everything I need--now and always.


In the spring, I have faith that the air will begin to warm and new sprouts and blossoms will appear. This has happened every spring before now, and it will happen every spring to come.

With this same faith, I know that when I am hungry, food will be available. When I am thirsty, my thirst will be quenched. When I am cold, I will have clothing and shelter.

Right now, I have everything I need. As I become aware of the truth of this statement, I am able to drop any worries about what is to come.

In this moment, I let go of any fear or anxiety about the future and rest in unwavering faith. All is well. I am at peace knowing I have everything I need.

Do not worry, saying, "What will we eat?" or "What will we drink?" or "What will we wear?"--Matthew 6:31

Inner Peace

Divine love and grace fill me with peace.


Wherever I am, God is. These words are an affirmation of divine love and grace.

They provide reassurance of God's everlasting presence, and they are an effective prayer any time I need a greater sense of inner peace.

In this blessed state, I face each day assured and confident. As I focus on the abiding presence of God, I feel an inner calm. Any troubled thoughts release their hold on my mind.

I simply remember and affirm the truth: Wherever I am, God is. My quiet affirmation strengthens me, calms my mind and allows me to open my heart to divine love and grace.

In the presence of God, I am peaceful and secure.

I will make a covenant of peace with them; ... and will set my sanctuary among them forevermore.--Ezekiel 37:26

Free


I am alive with the freedom of Spirit.


What adventures lie before me today? What lessons will I learn as I open my mind and heart to Spirit? As I embrace these questions and the endless possibilities, I experience a renewed sense of freedom and anticipation at the thought of all that awaits me. I am free to learn all I want to learn. I am free to experience unlimited goodness. I am free to explore new avenues of success, prosperity and wholeness. I am free because the spirit of God is alive in me.


As I experience this freedom within me, I hold thoughts of freedom for others. The spirit of God is within each of us, providing wisdom, clarity and inspiration. In faith, I greet each day knowing I am alive with the freedom of Spirit.


You were called to freedom, brothers and sisters.--Galatians 5:13

Divine Order
My life is in divine order.


When I affirm that divine order is established in my life, I am consciously acknowledging my oneness with the principle of order and harmony.

When I open my mind and heart to the wisdom of God, I am laying the foundation for order to take hold. I may feel guided to take a specific action, feel the urge to create something new, or find an elusive solution to a troubling situation easily falling into place.

Realizing that I live in a world of order and harmony, I no longer allow minor disturbances to confuse me. Looking beneath the appearance of disorder to the divine order that underlies it, I maintain my inner calm and serenity.

I am confident that my life is on the right path and that all is in divine order.

Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace.--Isaiah 26:3

Centered

I am centered in the present moment.


The present moment can easily elude me. Every time my mind jumps to the future or the past, I miss the delight of the here and now.

But when I am centered in the present moment, I am always grateful. I feel calm. I feel peace.

As I concentrate on my breathing, I connect to the Infinite within me.

My scattered thoughts begin to focus, and I become present to this now moment and all its potential.

Stress and worry disappear.

In this centered state of being, I know that all is well. I am one with the living God, undistracted by what is happening "out there" and at peace with what is happening "in here." I am awake and aware, blessed and grateful.

Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his presence continually.--1 Chronicles 16:11

Healing


Vitality radiates through every cell of my body.


Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, affirmed, "I am a child of God. Therefore, I do not inherit sickness." Using this affirmation, she overcame tuberculosis. I, too, am a child of God, and I do not inherit sickness. Nor do I inherit self-doubt, lack or negativity. What I do inherit are strength, wisdom, hope and vitality.


During my daily time in the silence, I become aware of the vital physical sensation of each part of my body, beginning with my head and spreading to my toes. To each individual organ, limb and cell, I affirm, "I am well. The spirit of love, light and healing flows through me." I am blessed by this knowing and by the prayers of those who affirm health and wholeness for me.


Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.--Mark 5:34

Empowered


I attune myself to the power of God within.


When I am attuned to God and aligned with God's purpose for me, nothing can stand between me and my bliss.I am a divine being, blessed with miraculous gifts that allow me to rise above any challenge and live my dreams.


I have within me the power of divine love. This love dissolves any obstacle, heals any condition, overcomes any inequity. I am empowered to fulfill my potential and to make this world a better place.


I have the courage and grace to face any situation in life and triumph over it. I share my successes with friends and loved ones, and I help them discover their own inner power.


For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self- discipline.--2 Timothy 1:7

Resurgence
I act on the desires of my heart.
Have I fulfilled my hopes and dreams in life? Am I where I planned to be? Any discontentment I feel with my present circumstances may be an inner nudge to reawaken the desires I have allowed to become dormant.

Perhaps now is the time to display my creativity, travel to far-off places or serve God and others in a whole new way. Acknowledging this urge, I allow myself to consider new possibilities. My soul surges as I expand my horizons.


Remaining flexible and open, I don't limit myself to any preconceived ideas of what I can or cannot do. Spirit within provides all I need to satisfy the longings that once seemed lost, but now are found.


When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, "Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost."--Luke 15:9

Resurrection

I am renewed by the Christ Presence resurrected in me.


When Mary discovered that the body of Jesus was no longer in the tomb where it had been laid, she could not imagine that he was alive again. But later, she recognized her Teacher and the miracle that had occurred.

When I contemplate in prayer the indwelling Christ Presence, I may experience a resurrection, a restoration, a revival within me.

Letting go of the old and opening myself to the new, I am changed in ways that are vital to my spiritual unfolding. I am raised into a greater experience of the God-life within me.

I may not recognize the transformation immediately, but as I rise to the realization of the Christ Presence, miracles happen.

Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabbouni!" (which means Teacher).--John 20:16

New Creation
The power of God transforms my life.


I may associate darkness with fear or sadness. Yet darkness may also mark a new beginning, a time of transformation. Out of what was, something new emerges.

The chick emerges from the egg; the butterfly emerges from the cocoon. Time in the darkness is an important and essential part of the process of life.

Jesus knew that the darkness of the tomb held the promise of eternal life. In faith I move through times of challenge, even of sorrow, expecting good to be revealed through the activity of Spirit.

In the midst of what may appear to be darkness, I open myself to new wisdom. With each experience, I emerge a new creation of Spirit.

Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy.--John 16:20

Pray for Others


I pray for others from God's love within me.


As I pray for family and friends, God's love flows in and through me. Yet, I am also called to pray for those I may consider enemies.

A true measure of love is the ability to show love to those who have harmed me. Whenever I'm feeling mistreated, I pray.

I am lifted by God's powerful love, which frees me from any negativity.

Since love is my very nature, I feel profoundly peaceful when I share the love of God with others. I begin to see hurtful behaviors as a misguided call for love.

Rather than condemn another for his or her actions, I behold the divine within each person and respond with love. As I pray for others, the spiritual wisdom, understanding and unconditional love of God fill my heart.

Bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.--Luke 6:28

Preparation


I am prepared for life's blessings.


In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus took time for prayer, contemplation and conversation with God. This example of Jesus struggling to accept the path before him has inspired humanity through the ages.


Just as Jesus prepared himself for his final ordeal and ultimate triumph, I prepare myself for challenges with prayer. I affirm the aspects of my personal and spiritual nature that I want to express more fully. At the same time, I am fearless in examining the ways I do not yet apply those qualities in daily life.


By staying "prayed up," I make wise choices in all that I think, say and do. Every challenge becomes an opportunity for new growth and transformation, and every blessing becomes a lesson in the power of prayer.


He said to his disciples, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."--Matthew 26:36

Forgive

I forgive, and I am free.


Every now and then, we all fall short of our highest and best selves. When I become aware of this in myself or in another, I hear the voice of Jesus say, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.

" From the Christ Presence in me, I look beyond my own behavior or that of my brother or sister, and I pray. I pray that I may accept the peace of forgiveness.

I know that mistakes are due to failure to accept God's gifts of wisdom and understanding. In this awareness, I forgive.

I take responsibility for what I have done, and I do what I can to make it right. Most important, I accept the power of redeeming love.

In forgiving myself and others, I am free. The indwelling Christ has awakened in me.

First be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.--Matthew 5:24

Guidance

I quietly tune in to the wisdom of God and receive divine direction.
All day long, wherever I go, whatever I do, I tune in to the wisdom of God.

If I have an important decision to make or I am puzzled about which course of action to take, I find my answer through prayer.

I affirm that divine light is shining in and through me now, showing me what to do and how to do it. Then I practice the art of listening in the silence, which fills me with new spiritual understanding.

The transcendent, indwelling Spirit lifts me up and makes all the ways of my life clear, all my needs understandable, all my decisions easy and all my questions answerable.

I joyously accept and follow the spiritual guidance I receive, and my life is established in peace, love and harmony.

When a trumpet is blown, listen!--Isaiah 18:3

Grace


I am one with the limitless grace of God.


These words from the poem "I Am There" by James Dillet Freeman beautifully describe God's grace in action.


Do you need me? I am there. You cannot see Me, yet I am the light you see by. You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice. You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands.


God's grace is constant and true, providing all I could ever ask for, and more. Grace is at work within me and around me. It is the light that illumines my path, the wisdom that guides my thoughts and actions, and the power that fills me with strength and peace.


Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.--2 Corinthians 1:2

Hallelujah

I celebrate my spiritual nature and the presence of Spirit within others.


What Jesus taught and demonstrated was exciting! God is not far away, but the very life and breath within us. I am not alone.

I am a child of the One Creator, related through Spirit to all of those around me. I am not less than others; neither am I more than others. The gifts of Spirit are given equally to all.

The power of Spirit to heal, prosper and uplift is available to me and to everyone.

In Jesus' time, as people began to hear the words and witness the transformational power of Spirit, they gathered together in celebration. Today I celebrate anew my awareness that Spirit dwells in me and in all others.

The whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen.--Luke 19:37

Healing

I am grateful for the energy and strength of my healthy body.
Sometimes I forget to take care of my body, but my body never forgets to take care of me.

It spontaneously pumps blood, digests food, inhales and exhales air. I am amazed by the workings of my body. It renews itself and responds to my choices, whether I realize it or not.

Life is in motion within me. I feel divine life flowing through me as I stop for a moment and pay attention to it. I stretch my muscles. I feel energized and renewed.

I make conscious choices which affect the health and vitality of my body. When I lie down at the end of the day, I bless my body from head to toe. I thank God for my life and health. I am the embodiment of divine life.

The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the body.--Proverbs 15:30

World Peace


As we express the peace of God, our world is transformed.


We all desire to see a peaceful world, but what can I, as one person, do to bring it about? I know that for peace to occur, I must cultivate peace in my heart and mind each day.I help create peace on a global level when I am on good terms with my neighbor, my partner, my employer and members of my family.As I find inner peace at home, it expands across the world.


Peace is my natural state. It comes from within me, not outside me. When I forgive myself and others, peace flows easily through my entire being.When I release any ill will against a perceived enemy, I feel peace instead of anger and hostility. As I consciously give peace a chance, all around me is transformed.


Let them turn away from evil and do good; let them seek peace and pursue it.--1 Peter 3:11.

Joy


The Holy Spirit is my source of joy forever.


An artesian well is a natural water source that emanates from layers of rock deep within the earth. Without priming or pumping, it sends an ever-flowing supply of cool, refreshing water to the surface. Spirit is an artesian well that fills me with joy, a wellspring of joy from which I may draw at any time. I may experience this joy as profound bliss or a simple awareness of well-being.


If circumstances weigh me down, I go to this well. If I am troubled or hurting, I go to this well.If I am lonely or afraid, I go to this well. There, in quiet prayer, I turn within and experience the cool, refreshing free-flowing Spirit as joy and peace


The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.--John 4:14

Harmony

I live in harmony with all of life.


My life reflects the harmony I feel inside and the harmony I experience with others, with nature and with Spirit. Living in harmony feeds me and brings balance to my life.


In quiet moments of meditation and prayer, I am at peace and in tune with the absolute power of the universe. Centered in love, I cannot hold a grudge or harbor unforgivingness.Enfolding others in prayer, I see them filled with light, strengthened and supported by the love of God. In harmony with nature, I recognize the importance of all creation. I honor it by respecting the world in which I live.


In harmony with myself and others, with nature and all of life, I am happy and free.


Clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.--Colossians 3:14.

Prosperity


God's unlimited good flows to me and through me.


Today I affirm my oneness with the all-ness of God. I am a channel of God's abundance, energy and power. I am a vehicle of expression for the spirit of the living God. Unlimited good comes to me and flows through me. Divine inspiration is my inspiration. It lifts my spirit and motivates me to act, filling me with energy and confidence, faith and clarity.


My awareness of the abundance of God expands each time I pray, each time I unify myself with the presence of God. In prayer, my mind opens to the blessings I may have missed and the unlimited possibilities before me. I am prosperous, for I live in the flow of God's unlimited good.


For the Lord will again take delight in prospering you, just as he delighted in prospering your ancestors.--Deuteronomy 30:9

Inner Peace


I am at peace when my heart and mind are on God.


When I insert a key into a lock, the tiny parts move into alignment and the lock opens. When I focus my thoughts on the center of my being, I feel the door to my inner space of peace spring open.


I take just a moment to let my mind align with Divine Mind. I may have a favorite word or prayer that centers me. I gently surrender any thought of lack, discord or disease. I let it drift away. No temporary circumstance can disturb my peace. Aligned with Divine Mind, I feel the transformational energy of peace and love awaken in me. At one now with perfect peace, I am whole and complete.


Having rested in a time of silence, I am ready to return to my activities. I am peaceful, renewed and refreshed.


Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him.--Psalm 37:7

Transformation

I am unfolding in meaningful ways.


I may have thought transformation would strike as a bolt of lightning.

I may have believed there would be a physical change, visible for others to see. They'd say to me, "You've been transformed."


Now I know transformation is a moment-by-moment realization. It takes place in incremental steps.I look back and realize I am different than I was before. I make better choices. I listen. I learn. I reach out to others, and I see glory in every face.


These small changes signal a new me emerging. I am living transformation with each small step and every new choice, moving into higher and higher awareness of the unfoldment of my soul.


And you shall be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will give.--Isaiah 62:2.

Wisdom, strength and love are reborn in me today.
Every year I see the rebirth of spring as the grass turns green, flowers bud and leaves and blossoms burst forth on the trees.


Each sign of spring occurs at the right and perfect time, when the earth is ready to generate new life.

My personal springtime occurs as I open my heart and mind to the Divine. To prepare my soul for rebirth, I pray and meditate. In quiet times with God, I shift my attention from thoughts and feelings that no longer serve me.


I invite wisdom, strength and love into my life knowing that these powers propel me on my way to growth and renewal. As in nature, my renewal comes precisely when my soul is receptive and ready.

In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being.--Job 12:10

Comfort


I rest in the comfort of Spirit's abundant love.


At times I may find myself struggling to find an answer to a problem in my life. I may search for a quick and easy solution or look for someone else to fix things for me. But rather than search outside myself, I choose to look within.


I breathe deeply. I relax. I realize that temporary outer conditions are not the truth of me. I release them, and as I let them go, I slowly and surely feel the presence of God. God has been here all along, right here inside me. I feel now the comfort, care and ever-present love. I know that all is well.


In any moment, no matter the circumstances, I can turn within to find that God is here as my steadfast guide on life's journey. I rest in the comfort of this awareness.


The Lord said to him, "Peace be to you; do not fear."--Judges 6:23.

Expansion

I contribute to an expanding universe.
Growth and change are natural and necessary for life.

Throughout our lives, we grow physically, emotionally and spiritually. It would be folly to tell a child to stop growing! Yet, as adults, we may resist our own growth and expansion.


My motivation to change and grow may come from feelings of restlessness or boredom.

I am a creative being who wants to expand my spiritual consciousness. The same divine intelligence that directs the expansion of the universe is urging me to express more of who I am.


In a state of greater awareness, I dream of what I want. I act upon the good desires of my heart, and I grow.


We have not ceased praying for you ... as you bear fruit in every good work and as you grow in the knowledge of God.--Colossians 1:9, 10

Divine Love


I am an expression of perfect divine love.


Divine love is an aspect of my spiritual nature. As a human being I also have a physical nature, a mental nature and an emotional nature through which I can express the love of God within me.

I express God's love through my physical nature by sharing an authentic smile and a sincere hug with family and loved ones.


I am expressing the love of God through my mental nature by thinking loving thoughts of wholeness and abundance and by showing compassion and understanding.

Emotionally, I express love by forgiving myself and others, by releasing attachments to the past and holding hope for the future. In all these ways and many more, I express divine love.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.--Mark 12:30

Insight

The perfect solution is clear and available now.
If something is bothering me, I know where to turn for insight. I close my eyes, and I go within. Taking a few cleansing breaths, I allow any sense of burden to melt away.

I focus on the gentle rise and fall of my chest and abdomen as I inhale and exhale.
As I go deeper, I experience my oneness with God. Every cell in my body is filled with God's life force; every aspect of who I am is an expression of God's creation.

Knowing that I am one with my source, I am at peace.
In prayer I open myself to the infinite options and divine possibilities I never knew existed. New insights and ideas fill my mind. I realize the perfect solution is clear and available to me now.


For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways.--Isaiah 55:9

Enough


I have everything I need.


So much to do and so little time! When I feel hurried or overwhelmed, I may have forgotten one simple truth. Created in the image and likeness of God, I've inherited all of the qualities of God. I have enough time, resources and strength to do all that is mine to do. Not only do I have enough, I am enough.


I am a spiritual being having a human experience. I am worthy and deserving of bountiful goodness, not only because of what I do, but because of who I am. My potential is unlimited, and I am free to be my best and to see the best in all others. I am an eternal being.


Today I am fully present to my experience, taking time to appreciate everyone and everything around me.


You are not in the flesh; you are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you.--Romans 8:9

Free


I am free!


I choose to use my freedom to experience something wonderful and life-affirming, rather than something I consider negative. I affirm what is true: I was created out of the life, love and intelligence of God. I was created to live a full and fulfilling life. I speak my affirmations of truth aloud or hold them silently in mind; then I act with confidence and faith.


There is no need to blame others or myself for mistakes or missteps. I am not held back by any past condition or circumstance. I let go of all ideas that restrict my free expression and embrace each new day as another opportunity to give expression to my spiritual nature. The indwelling Spirit is the source of my freedom to be all that I want to be. I am free!


You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.--John 8:32

All things work together for good.
Looking back, it is sometimes easy to see how events have worked together for good. In the midst of a challenge, however, it can be more difficult to see. When in doubt, I remember that Joseph was put in prison and Daniel was cast into the den with lions. Throughout these trials, they were protected and a new good was revealed for them.
With faith in God, I trust that my highest good is arising from the situation at hand, no matter what the outward appearance. Focused on this truth, I open to divine direction. One moment leads to the next; each step deepens my understanding. Releasing any fear or judgment, I know that all things work together for the highest good of all.
Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid! ... Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good."--Genesis 50:19, 20

Let Go, Let God


I let go of expectations and let God renew my life.


Sometimes when a family member is late arriving home or something unexpected happens in my life, I erroneously imagine a worrisome outcome. As soon as I am aware of my thoughts, I wake up to faith and remember God is present with and within me and my loved ones. All is well.


With my focus on the presence of God, I recover my sense of calm and balance. I clear my thoughts of everything except God, and I pray. As I relinquish control and settle into faith and love, I am restored to peace and joy.


Faith fills my soul. I feel lighter and my heart is uplifted. I see my loved ones safe and whole. I release any worry and let God restore my inner peace.


May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.--Romans 15:13

In the Flow


I am in the flow of divine abundance.


When walking the beach at low tide, I may find dry sand where an hour before the waves washed over my toes. Yet, there's no worry; the tide will return. Similarly, I need not worry about the temporary appearance of lack in my life, because I know there is abundant supply.


Worry does not change the tide nor can it change my circumstances. Matthew 6:26 reminds me to "Look at the birds of the air; they
neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns.... Are you not of more value than they?" I realize my worth and claim my good. I allow blessings to flow to me, and I freely draw from the limitless ocean of good. As I deepen my trust, I am in the flow of divine abundance.


If God so clothes the grass of the field ... will he not much more clothe you?--Matthew 6:30

Empathy


With understanding, I honor our common purpose.


When I encounter differing opinions or personal disputes, I choose to see beyond the outward appearance of conflict and notice the commonality. We all want the best for ourselves and those we love. I resist the impulse to take offense. Instead, I focus on God's unconditional love. Demonstrating love in my thoughts, words and actions, I see disagreements dissolve into empathy and understanding.


If mistakes have been made, I bless them and look for the lesson to be learned. My outlook remains positive. With God's unconditional love as my example, I honor my divine nature and the divine nature of all others.


For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.--Proverbs 2:6

Crossroads



With God's guidance, I choose the right path.


Through the course of our lives there are defining moments. Perhaps I am at one of those crucial junctures now, contemplating options that could have a dramatic impact on my future. Do I choose the path that keeps my status quo intact? Or do I choose a path that could transform me as well as my circumstances?


Whenever I reach a crossroads, I turn to God for divine guidance. This guidance may show up in a variety of forms, but I recognize it by the way it resonates throughout my body, mind and soul. As I open my heart and listen, I understand which direction to take, and I move forward with confidence and joyful anticipation.


Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.--Psalm 119:105

Power


I assert my power in a positive, spiritually centered way.


From time to time I may need to remind myself that the power of God is within me, especially if I'm feeling weak or small. The power of God is no small power. It is the kind of power that claims the truth: I am strong. I am whole. I am worthy. This power fuels me to live a positive, spiritually centered life--the life I was born to live.


True power springs from the understanding that I am co-creating at all times with Spirit; that at any moment, I can step into the all-ness of being. When I am in touch with my true spirit, I am bursting with energy and enthusiasm. I know that the One Power is within me and I can draw on that power at any time. In truth, I AM that power.


So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.--Psalm 63:2

Vision


I clearly see love and opportunity.


How well I see does not depend on the quality of my eyesight. The clarity of my vision depends on my ability to see with the eyes of faith and look beyond appearances in the world around me.


My human vision sees only the images of the material world, and my mind recalls past experiences, analyzing the relationship between past and present. It is my spiritual vision that sees God in every person and situation. My spiritual vision perceives the potential for all good things. My heart sees what my eyes cannot see.


When I look in the mirror I behold a child of God. When I look at others, I behold my brothers and sisters. I know I am seeing clearly when I see only love and opportunity.


One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.--John 9:25

Home



I abide in the presence of God's love.


I bless my home as a place of comfort and rest, a place where beauty and graciousness are expressed and experienced. The atmosphere of my home is permeated with love and peace, light and sunshine. My home is a space for refreshment, renewal and mental and physical well-being because the love of God is reflected in this space.


I bless and value everyone who enters my home. I practice patience, cooperation and respect and do all I can to create a haven where every family member and guest feels God's spirit of love, peace and joy within these walls.


I am grateful for my home and for the privilege it affords me of expressing grace, beauty and hospitality.


Those who love me ... we will come to them and make our home with them.--John 14:23

Pray for Others


I am blessed by the people in my life.


Each piece of a quilt has its own color, pattern, texture and design with unique beauty and charm. But when the individual pieces of a quilt are sewn together, they become one magnificent work of art.


Just as the pieces of a quilt have unique beauty, the people in my life have unique personalities, talents and skills. Their presence blesses me in countless ways.


Who are the people in the patchwork of my life? They are those I am close to as well as those I meet in passing. I give thanks for all of the people who touch my life in some way. I enfold them in prayer and hold them in a special place in my heart. They are an important part of the fabric of my life--a tapestry of love.


All who believed were together and had all things in common.--Acts 2:44

Progress


The best is yet to be!


I notice how much thought, time and effort I give to my work, my relationships, my finances and, most important, my spiritual growth. The more I let divine light shine through my thoughts and interactions, the greater value I bring to all I do. As I gain spiritual understanding, my relationships at work and at home are enhanced.


When I am true to divine inspiration, I am more confident and others have more confidence in me. Divine ideas lead me to my good. I progress in all areas of my life as I remain open to inspiration.


Continually guided forward, I move with the flow of Spirit and live with enthusiasm. The best is yet to be, and I contribute to its unfoldment.


Master, you handed over to me five talents; see, I have made five more talents.--Matthew 25:20

Communicate


I communicate with wisdom and love.


In every interaction with others, I choose to communicate wisely, responsibly and authentically. Using positive, affirming words to express my ideas and desires enables me to be a force for good in the world, a powerful co-creator with God in every activity and in all arenas of life.


In every word spoken by phone or typed into a computer or handheld device, I am transmitting powerful ideas that can either discourage or uplift the person with whom I am communicating. So I choose to interact thoughtfully through every medium.


Authentic communication builds trust and understanding. My words have a positive impact on my relationships as I communicate with wisdom and love in every way.

Imagination


Through my mind's eye I can see every possibility.


Theodor Geisel, known to the world as Dr. Seuss, inspired generations of children to imagine the world in new ways. By using his imagination, he invented worlds where eggs were green and cats wore hats, yet meaningful lessons were shared.


I use the power of my imagination purposefully and prayerfully. I discern the difference between fantasy and divine possibility, discovering the power of imagining the best rather than fearing the worst. My spiritual faculty of imagination enables me to see an outcome I desire, then shape and direct my thoughts, words and actions toward that outcome. I am empowered and inspired by the vision in my mind's eye as I see the world in new--and sometimes fanciful--ways.


Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.--Matthew 18:5

Faith


I walk by faith, not by sight.


Today I stand firmly in my faith. I meet life courageously and confidently, seeing beyond appearances to the underlying good.
Through faith I overcome every limitation. I know that God's power in me is greater than any situation I may have to meet or overcome; God is greater than any condition or circumstance.


Through faith I am fearless and free. Faith dispels fear, for faith knows the nothingness of fear. Faith reminds me that God is the only presence and power in my life.


Through faith I am steady and strong. I am assured that with God there is always a way, with God there are always right answers.


Through faith I walk in the light. I am shown the way of my highest good. I am healed. I am blessed.


We walk by faith, not by sight.--2 Corinthians 5:7

Protected



I am confident and secure in the presence of God.


If I am feeling discouraged or disappointed about any circumstance in my life, I take time now to become centered in prayer, to be at peace in the presence of God. No matter where I am or what is happening, I still my thoughts and move into a quiet place of communion with God.


In this place of serenity, I remember the truth of my being, the part of me that never changes. I say to myself: "I am God's beloved today and always. The Christ Spirit is within me. Everything that is true about me remains. All the power of the universe is in me."


Returning to my day, I feel my confidence restored and my sense of peace renewed. I remain in the strong and protected presence of God as I get back up and begin again.


The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone.--John 8:29

Pray for Others



I connect with Spirit as I pray for others.


When I pray, I connect deeply with Spirit and know I am one with the Divine. In this oneness, I feel connected to my family, friends and community and to all people.


When I pray for another--perhaps someone with a health concern, facing a financial situation or dealing with a family issue--I open myself to Spirit and to the connection we all share. I may pray for the renewal of this person's health, prosperity or peace. However, my prayer for any one person is in truth a prayer for the world. It represents our divine connection.


When I pray for others, just as when I pray for myself, I know my prayers are answered. In thanks, I know that all is well.


Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.--Matthew 21:22

Nature's Beauty



I open my eyes to the beauty of nature.


Nature blesses the Earth with plants, animals, forests, oceans, mountains--a vast array of beauty. As I notice nature's beauty and take time to enjoy the magnificence of my surroundings, I see the beauty of God.


Opening my eyes to new expressions of God's beauty I take a different route home from work, visit a local park or choose a new path on my daily walk. Or I take a vacation or go on a family outing, consciously taking time to relax, breathing in the majesty all around.


Slowing down and enjoying the beauty of nature is one of the best things I can do for myself, for it renews my spirit and opens my heart to the magnificence of God.


The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind.... And God saw that it was good.--Genesis 1:12

Compassion



The compassionate love of God lives in me.


When my heart is heavy, others may reach out to comfort me. Their words ease the hurt. Their loving presence soothes me. When my own heart responds to another's pain, I feel the same love of God flowing in and through me.


Compassion is the opening of our hearts, one to another, in times of sadness or loss. We are all connected. I need never feel alone. The compassionate love of God is with me.


Sometimes I receive comfort, and other times, I offer comfort. Through all of life's experiences, I am grateful to receive and express God's love in action. The compassionate love of God lives in me.


For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you.--Isaiah 54:10

Joy



The joy that I share returns to me multiplied.


Our friends and family make up a social network in which we share greetings of love, enjoyable activities and quiet moments together. Our joy reflects Spirit within us and is something we can give to one another, whether we are in the same room or miles apart.


Happy times we've shared with others, whether around the breakfast table or in conversation over the phone or even through e-mail, we can pass along to others throughout our day.


Feelings of gladness ripple out far beyond our immediate circle of acquaintances. As we release the joy of our souls into the universe, it returns to us multiplied.


Honor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place.--1 Chronicles 16:27

Belief


I rise out of the old and into the new.


Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. It affords us an opportunity to turn away from beliefs that limit or bind us. Some think of this time as a period of fasting from special foods or outer pleasures. Others believe it is a time to give up certain states of mind, certain words and ways that are not in keeping with the Jesus Christ ideal.


No matter how we may choose to keep Lent, let us turn our eyes from the darkness to the light, our ears from strife to peace, our words from negative to positive, and our hands from destruction to construction. Keeping Lent in this way will prepare us mentally, physically and spiritually to rise out of the old and into the new.

Prosperity


I am grateful for the divine flow of good in my life.


When I hear the word "prosperity," my first thought may be of my bank account. In that moment, I may feel either relief or anxiety. I understand, though, that prosperity is not defined by merely dollars and cents.


True prosperity is about spiritual wealth. It's about knowing that my true source is not my employer, my partner or my parent. God is the source of my greatest good.


When I am aware of the ever-flowing wisdom and grace of God's spirit, I cannot help but create prosperity in all areas of my life--in my relationships, my health, my wealth. As I focus on the Truth, abundance flows. I am rich in all ways, and I am grateful.


You know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one thing has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised.--Joshua 23:14

Faith



Faith is my solid foundation.


In the middle of a forest, a seed falls from a tree, takes root in the soil and begins to grow. Even in the densest forest, the seed will sprout, become a sapling and stretch its branches toward the light.


Like that seed, my faith grows continually, nourished by the foundation of prayer in my life. I nurture my faith with positive thoughts, words and actions. I reach out to others and welcome the wisdom and understanding of people who have walked the path before me.


Just as a tree shelters those around it, my faith provides me with comfort, reassurance and inspiration. It brings me peace and urges me onward. I am rooted in faith.


Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt ... even if you say to this mountain, "Be lifted up and thrown into the sea," it will be done.--Matthew 21:21

Love


Christ in me is love, and this love expresses through me.


Love is a wonderful word. I may see love expressed in a bouquet of flowers or a special Valentine's Day card. I experience the love I have for others and the love returned to me in kind. Even beyond the love I share with others, I know that Christ in me is love. That means that I am love. Divine love expresses through me in the words I say, the actions I take and the feelings I feel.


I learn to love myself more and share more love each and every day.
I commit to express this love more fully toward my children and spouse, my parents and friends--and toward myself. As I grow in love, I am able to give it more freely to others, and the positive, enriching cycle of love continues.


This is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best.--Philippians 1:9-10

Forgive


I walk a new path of love and forgiveness.


At any time, I may make a fresh start, choose a new path and forgive myself and others for past mistakes. Forgiveness is the key to freedom. I dismiss any thoughts of disapproval and affirm my power to forgive. Whatever choices I made in the past have helped forge my character. My path, no matter how crooked, was the right path for me. I am confident that even greater good is being made manifest now.


I leave behind old habits and embrace new thoughts and actions that lead to wholeness and freedom. The pure, uplifting joy of prayer keeps me energized. I choose health. I choose love. I choose forgiveness. I feel light, loving and free.


Keep straight the path of your feet, and all your ways will be sure.--Proverbs 4:26

Guidance


Attuned to God, I am wise and understanding.


Before I act, I choose first to be still and become attuned to God. As I pause, I open myself to divine guidance and receive new insights into the situations of my life so that I may speak with wisdom and compassion. I am guided to wise choices that honor my body temple and activate the healing energy of God's love. I see clearly the right path for me to take, and I step forward in confidence. My heart is filled with understanding and forgiveness, and my relationships bring joy and comfort.


If I ever doubt myself, I know that God's guidance is always available. When I am attuned to God, I am wise and understanding.


My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.--Psalm 49:3

World Peace



I am love in expression, contributing to a world of peace.


When there was doubt among Jesus' disciples, He stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." If I am unsure about something, my mind may be scrambling, jumping from one thought to the next. I take a deep, relaxing breath, repeating His words silently to myself:


"Peace be with you." The Christ of my being settles my thoughts. I am reminded that the peace of Jesus is always available within me.


As my heart and my thoughts align with divine love, my personal doubts dissolve. Now calm, I see divine solutions unfolding around me; I act in ways that are harmonious and loving to all.


Every person I meet, every conversation I have, is blessed by this love. I am love in expression, contributing to a world at peace.


Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you."--John 20:26

I Wait



In the awareness of God's presence, I wait.


In the silence of prayer, I wait. Relaxing my body, allowing my breath to become steady and even, I affirm the presence of God. I give thanks for blessings experienced. I affirm health and prosperity for myself and others, and I release any anxiety.


In daily interactions, I wait for reflections of God's presence to be revealed in the wisdom of a trusted confidant, a smile from a friend, the voice of a child. I can see the presence of God being reflected to me.


As I contemplate the smallest detail or the largest events taking place in the world, I know the presence of God is there. I find true joy in waiting, listening and watching for God's presence. I relax, and I wait.


For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.--Isaiah 30:18

Healing



Spirit within is my health and my strength.


When faced with a health challenge, I might look beyond myself for answers. As I seek help and information from others, I may feel confused or unsure. Rather than becoming concerned, I act in faith. There is assistance within me through the Source of all life. I pray for guidance and feel the assurance of Spirit. As I speak affirmations of health and well-being, my body responds in kind.


With a clear mind, I can consider what to do next. I may choose to accept the help of the medical community. Or I may follow a different path. Whatever the choice, I remain aligned with a divine plan of health and renewal. I know and affirm that Spirit within is my health and strength.


Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God."--Mark 11:22

Grace



I gratefully accept every blessing of God's grace.


Knowing that the grace of God supports me at all times, I am alert to life-enriching opportunities. I not only recognize good, I draw it to me. Encouraged to accept all that blesses me and to bless others, I do not set limits on my capabilities. I have the courage to do what may have seemed impossible in the past.


As I act and speak from the inspiration of Spirit, I do my very best. Accepting the grace of God, I convey a confidence in my relationships with others. I am caring and compassionate, and I gratefully acknowledge these same qualities in others. Through prayer, I am immersed in spiritual understanding and open to divine ideas.


God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that ... you may share abundantly in every good work.--2 Corinthians 9:8

Let Go, Let God



I release my concerns and accept the good that is unfolding now.


A rabbit might race round and round in a fenced yard, convinced there is no way out. Exhausted, the little creature finally pauses long enough to see the opening in the fence and find his freedom. At times my mind races round and round, too, seeking an answer by examining every detail of the problem. My freedom comes when I lift my thoughts above the situation and surrender to God.


From this spiritual view, I gain a new understanding. I trust Spirit within me and take right action as I am guided. My faith in the constant and infinite supply of God assures me that my good can come to me through any situation. I accept and give thanks for the good that is unfolding now.


I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.--Psalm 116:1

This Moment



In this moment, I am creating the life I choose.


Moments are fleeting. Once passed, they cannot be recaptured. Each moment is a precious gift and holds the promise of a new beginning.


Throughout my day, I allow the presence of God to fill me with an awareness of this now moment. I release my thoughts of yesterday or tomorrow and bask in the wonder of the present moment for the gift that it is. Each moment is a building block upon which my life is created. Every loving thought, every kind word, every prayer, adds to the solid foundation of my life.


Moment by moment, I am creating a full and fulfilling life.
That one is like a man building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when a flood arose, the river burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built.--Luke 6:48

Positive Words



I choose positive words and experience positive results.


The thoughts I think and the words I speak have tremendous power. They can influence my life in either positive or negative ways, for they affect the expectations I hold in my heart and the outcomes I experience in my life. Today I choose to use positive words. I make a conscious effort to think positive thoughts and to act in positive ways. By doing so, I open my life and the lives of those I pray for to the ever-present abundance of God.


If I am anxious about a particular situation or event, I change my thoughts about it. I approach it with new eyes--spiritual eyes. By expressing my faith in God and holding positive thoughts, my expectations are elevated to a higher level and the outcomes I envision are revealed in wonderful ways.


The kingdom of God is within you.--Luke 17:21 (KJV)

Life


I am a robust expression of the divine energy of life.


Even in the midst of winter, while the flowers may not yet have broken through the earth, life finds a way to declare itself, seizing opportunities to grow and expand. First a seed, then a bud, then a robust beauty! The same divine process is at work in me. Every day I realize more of the spirit and energy of God flowing through me. With each breath, each heartbeat, I feel God's life surging through my body and mind.


My thoughts are stayed on God as the source of all life. My faith is fortified as I see these thoughts rebuilding and refreshing my body and mind. I am healed by the renewing power of life, and I enthusiastically praise this power of God within me.


The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.--Genesis 2:7

Protected



God is within me and around me. I am safe wherever I go.


In this moment, my thoughts are centered on God. Nothing can disturb the peace that fills my soul. I enfold my loved ones in thoughts of peace and safety and know that each is protected and provided for.


I take responsibility for my physical safety by being aware of my surroundings and not taking unnecessary chances. And I trust God. I am open to the wisdom of God and allow this infinite intelligence to guide and guard my steps. I also see God's guidance as an indwelling presence in others I pray for.


I am assured that God is present in every cell of my being, in every moment of my day. A simple prayer of "Thank You, God," is all I need to establish peace of mind and heart.


I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my might.--Isaiah 12:2

Fulfilled


God is the source of all that fulfills me.


I take a moment in quiet meditation to consider what truly fulfills me. In this ease, I breathe deeply and fully. Gently, a thought comes to mind. Perhaps it's about something I have postponed or resisted. Have I been holding on to a limiting thought of I can't...? Am I willing to transform my I can't into an I can?


No matter what I want to accomplish, I never go through it alone. The spirit of God goes with me. Knowing this, I put my God-given intelligence and strength to use and do what is mine to do.


Regardless of what is required mentally, physically or spiritually, I can accomplish it. I can because God, my constant companion and guide, is the source of all that fulfills me.


May he grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans.--Psalm 20:4

All Is Well



I release financial concerns. I am free, and I am prosperous.


Letting go of financial worries and concerns is freeing. I ask myself an important question: "What really matters in my life right now?" The answer often reveals that love, fulfilling relationships, health and happiness are more important than any financial concerns.


I acknowledge the prosperity already evident in my life. I open my mind and heart to the abundance that is already here. I have faith that any resources I need are on their way. I do my part to open the way for greater prosperity to manifest.


I have everything I need today, tomorrow and always. The knowledge that I am one with Spirit and all is well frees me to live more abundantly.


Be content with what you have; for he has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you."--Hebrews 13:5

Inner Peace


In the quiet of this moment, I am at peace. All is well.


Allowing time for the silence of prayer and meditation is vital to my well-being. In the quiet, I am serene. I am still. I am calm. Inner peace permeates my body and clears my mind. I am connected to the Divine.


If at a later time I find myself in a challenging situation, the time I spent in the silence allows me to maintain tranquility. I am able to focus on the peace of God in the midst of the challenge. I focus on faith and love and know that all is well.


My actions of compassion, gratitude and service reflect the serenity I feel within. In choosing inner peace, I bring greater peace to the outer world.


He woke up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; they ceased, and there was a calm.--Luke 8:24

Surprise


I am open to unexpected blessings.


Life is filled with surprises, both big and small. They may come through an unexpected phone call from a friend, exciting news of a new opportunity, or a surprise invitation to an event. Each surprise bears its own gift and blessing.


I am open to life's surprises and to the unforeseen treasures that come my way. As I become receptive, I release any expectations about how my life will unfold, for I know that God is in charge. The light and love of God fill me and those I care for, leading each of us along life's path. I look forward to the surprises that come my way. I may see some as treasures and some as challenges but I can be sure that each surprise blesses me and opens my life to unexpected good.


For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.--Matthew 6:21

Harmony


Connected to Spirit, my life is in perfect harmony.


Voices in harmony create a delicious blending, a beautiful sound. Hearing it brings pure joy. Conversely, when harmony is off, the imbalance is disturbing.


It is that way in my life also. At times, I may get sidetracked, focusing on the ways in which my life appears to be flawed. In that frame of mind, I feel disconnected and discontented. But as I become aware of my disharmony, I can make adjustments.


Just as musicians must listen carefully and bring their voices into alignment to create harmony, I, too, must listen in order to bring myself into alignment with Spirit. When I am in sync with God, harmony is the inspiring result. I am blessed and at peace.


Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.--Colossians 3:14

World Peace
Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.


When my attention turns to areas of conflict in the world, I may lose my own sense of peace or feel small and insignificant. Yet I've learned to take a broader perspective: Peace is truly the rule in the world, and conflict is the exception.


Peace abounds as we all work together in cooperation. A new day is dawning in which we know we are children of God, whole and complete. Individually, and as nations, we are enough and we have enough.


We live in a world of peace and plenty. As the world works together in cooperation, natural resources and abundant good will be available to all. I am filled with faith and hope for our world. I let there be peace on Earth, and I let it begin with me.


May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.--Jude 1:2
