I&I Clothing making a big statement in fashion
By: Dave Lindo
I&I Clothing Company is making a big name for itself in the apparel business ever since coming on stream in June of last year.
It has been refreshing and captivating to see the eye catching colours and excellent finishes of the I and I designs.
The brand is owned by Jason Panton ,CEO and Creative Director of the company and Financial Officer, Keisha Hall who both hold 50-50 shares of the company.
Jason grew up in Miami, Florida but also spent time in Jamaica where he attended the Edna Manley College of Visual & Performing Arts. He is a talented painter who has done graphic work with top record companies both in Jamaica and the United States. He worked at an apparel company as their Creative Director but later stepped out on his own, thus the birth of I&I Clothing Company.
The I&I brand has become very popular especially among Caribbean communities. There are stores in Miami, the United States, Bridge Town, Barbados and Jamaica at Cherries on South Ave in Kingston and at the Casa de Xaymaca at the The Norman Manley International Airport.
"We are more than music and red, green and gold," Jason explained. Caribbean Culture has made an impact worldwide as our culture is what we wear, how we speak, our perspective, attitude and our mixed origins. I&I Clothing Company embraces our musical roots in our clothing, while also recognizing that we have a wealth of icons, idioms, locations, heroes, and symbols to draw from for influence in fashion and apparel designs."
He added, "I&I seeks...to provide high quality, trend conscious clothing that is truly representative of the Caribbean and create a brand franchise that can employ Caribbean talent from abroad and in the region."
As to their designs and materials that they use, Jason said, "We are basically working with knit material in our summer collection to have a cooler feel. We have tank tops and T- shirts, we are also working on some bottoms. For the fall we will be working with some wool material."
After mounting up huge sales, Jason and his partner Keisha decided to take it to a higher level, in the form of getting endorsements of the brand by top reggae/dancehall artistes. So far they have contracted the 'Strong One' Etana, Brick and Lace and the reggae icon Junior Reid.

As to the origin of the name I&I, Jason disclosed, "It was a combination of many things. It was after leaving the small brand and being on my own, my girl friend had I&I as a part of her email address and my spirituality as a Rasta. I also wanted to have a name that is not trendy but has an everlasting name. So came the name I&I."
Jason is happy with the success of the brand, "I feel blessed, we have to be restocking our outlets every 30 days. It has really been a phenomenal!"

Dominica against Mavado's music
Mavado is again facing problems in regards to his lyrics. This time around it's from a prominent radio Disk Jockey, in Dominica, who has become a Christian. He has raised concerns as to whether Mavado should be allowed to perform at a show scheduled to be held in July.
There was an article published in Dominica addressing Mavado's lyrics and how negatively his blasphemous message has influenced the youths.
One of the writer's major concerns was why Mavado has to sing songs with lyrics suggesting he is above God. A typical example he explains is the popular church song entitled I am under the Rock. In this song he changes around the words to convey his message, the song now named "On the Rock." He explains that the song was originally written in relations to 1 Corinthians 10:4 which states that the children of Israel "Drank water from the Spiritual Rock that accompanied them, and that Rock was Christ." He has concluded that many countries refer to "crack/cocaine" as "rock" thus interpreting the song to mean "I am on crack."
In another Biblical reference the writer refers to the fourth line of the same song which goes "My name is so excellent." This he believes is blasphemous as Almighty God is the only one whose name is excellent. In Matt.12:32 the bible clearly states that "anyone who speaks blasphemously against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven."
The other Mavado song he made reference to was the popular hymn "Amazing Grace" to which he has added his own lyrics converting it to a gun tune. The chorus of his rendition states: "Amazing grace, shot fly tru face, the bwoy dem a trace, shoot up dem base, have the K's (AK47 assault rifle) dem in case, dem try fi escape, none cyaa escape, when me gun blaze." He explains that because of this and Mavado being so influential, the Minister of National Security in Dominica has been discussing implementing harsher penalties for the possession of illegal firearm and ammunition. If they are trying to do this "isn't it contradictory to bring in an artistes who sings about the same thing we are trying to put a stop to?" he asked.
Dominica isn't the only country that has taken actions against Mavado. Disk Jockeys in Trinidad and Tobago have stopped playing Mavado's lyrics on their radio stations as they blamed his lyrics for a stabbing incident that took place. Guyana and Barbados have also taken actions against him.
"This type of action does not do anything to cease Mavado's momentum and popularity, if anything, it just adds to his legend." This was a statement made Jones-Griffiths, Mavado's manager in the Jamaican Star. The writer feels that artistes are using their violent lyrics to influence youths to perform deviant behaviours and are simply using the media as a tool launch their career and make them more popular. What he can't seem to understand is how the government claims that thay want to lower the level of deviant behaviour in the country and still allow songs that glorify and encourage crime, drugs and violence to be aired daily?

Urgent help for Jamaican Hospital
Ziggy Marley has been known for his generous donations to the Bustamante Hospital for Children. His first donation was in 1991 and has continued over the years. The foundation which is called URGE (Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment) has made several donations since the start of the year to the cash strapped hospital. They have donated equipment such as Laryngoscope sets, blood pressure machines, a Metro Basic crash cart and a Stand Mounted Suction Pump.
The Chain of Hope, Jamaica had appealed to URGE and they responded by paying for a pacemaker for little Shinnia Porteous who was five months at the time. She is now recovering at home.
The Victoria Jubilee Hospital's Premature Nursery also received donations from the Marley family; they donated twelve CPI Baby Cots and an Infant Radiant Warmer to the institution.
St. Ann is also receiving attention from URGE as they are the host of an annual health fair in Nine Mile. Here one can find international doctors and nurses who come to offer their time, medical supplies and services.
Big up to the Marleys!

Lil Wayne for Reggae Sumfest.
In 1997, 18 year old, New Orleans native, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. known as Lil Wayne was the youngest member of the Cash Money Records group Hot Boys. He soon surmounted the groups expectations.
Now this Grammy nominated star will be joining other international stars, such as Keyshia Cole, for Reggae Sumfest's International Night on Friday, July 18, 2008.
The group, Hot Boys, careened to stardom with tracks such as "We on Fire" and "I Need a Hot Girl". Lil Wayne's release of his first solo album, "Tha Block is Hot" which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts, propelled him to stardom as a solo artiste.
The group, Hot Boys, also collaborated with The Big Tymers to produce the internationally acclaimed hit "Bling Bling".
Today Lil Wayne also known as "Lil Weezy" in one of the most respected rappers in the Hip Hop industry, with the release of his trilogy albums: "Tha Carter", "Tha Carter11" and "Tha Carter111".
Now at 25 years old with hits such as "Got Money" in collaboration with superstar T-Pain and "Millie" there is absolutely no stopping him. He was voted the "Hottest MC in the Game" as well as one of the "Men of the Year" in GQ Magazine. Blender Magazine also gave him the distinction of being the "Best Rock Star Alive".
He is a definite 'must see' at this years Reggae Sumfest festival as this one will surmount all others.

Rock Steady music being documented
By: Dave Lindo
Photography By: Milton Raynor

The Canadian and Swiss Government joined together to co- produce a film about Jamaica's Rock Steady music which is being documented by Director, Stascha Bader from Switzerland and Robert Boulos from Canada, who is the film's Line Producer.

The project which is dubbed Get Ready to Rock Steady is a tribute to the great music form. "Rock Steady was a pivotal part of Jamaica's music from the 60's where everybody was talking about love." Robert said. "Rock Steady is a forgotten era, people remember Ska and Reggae but they forget about Rock Steady."

The idea was formulated by Stascha 2 years ago where we decided to unite all the artistes and musician involved in that music form. It was the first time they were working together in over 40 years so this is a big reunion.

The only person missing was Lyn Tait who couldn't come because of health reasons, but as a guitarist he was the one who came up with the sound of Rock Steady.

Stascha was overly excited about the project, with his eyes beaming he continued, "I fell in love with Reggae like everyone else in Switzerland in the 70's and 80's. In those days all the 'big name' artistes came to Zurich, from Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Culture (and) Max Romeo. I did my PHD thesis and wrote a book on Dancehall and Reggae in 1985 called Words of Fire for the University of Zurich."

He added, "In 2006 I remembered how much I love Reggae and wondered how it all began. I came back to the roots and saw where Rock Steady was the angular point, which was clean and full of love. My dream was before they (musician / artistes) die, to get them back together and record an album and film. The original musicians and original artistes in the original studio as Tuff Gong Studio was once the Federal Studio where some of the great Rock Steady music was recorded."

Robert explained, "Jamaica do(es) not have anything documented in their archives on Rock Steady so this film and album can be used for that purpose."

Stascha and Robert have joined together some of the greatest musicians and singers that Jamaica has produced. Sly Dunbar - drums, Lloyd Parkes and Jackie Jackson – bass, Ernist Ranglin and Hux Brown - guitar, Robbie Lyn - Key board, Gladdie Anderson - Piano, Bongo Herman and Skully Simms - percussion. On the Brass section there are Glen DaCosta, David Madden, 'Deadly' Headley and Calvin Bubbles Cameron.

A live show also titled Get Ready To Rock Steady will be staged yesterday, June 25, at the National Indoor centre. The show was filmed live as part of the documentary.
Artistes participating in the project are: Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, Dawn Penn, Alton Ellis, Derrick Morgan, Ken Boothe, Leroy Sibbles, Hopeton Lewis, the Tamlins, Stranger Cole and Uroy.

The musicians and artistes were just as excited to be a part of the project. YardFlex sat through the rehearsal for the show and the vibes was just awesome. It was like we were in 'musical heaven' watching the artistes and musician working together, reliving the good old days. It was evident that they haven;t skipped a beat after 40 years and was into their work like it was just yesterday. A high point was seeing one of Jamaica's great 'song bird' Judy Mowatt rehearsing the song Silent River and Dawn Penn doing No No No backed by those great musicians.

One of the pioneers of local music, Leroy Sibbles, as bouncy as ever spoke highly about the project. "I am excited to be a part of it, it brings back memories, it is good to be reunited if only for this project," he said.

Leroy Sibbles who is an icon in the business worked as a bass player, musical arranger and back up singer with the group Heptones on many hit songs in the early day. He worked on Dennis Browns first album, No Man Is An Island, John Holt's album, Love I Can Feel, to name a few.

Carlton Smith of the Tamlins shared feelings similar to Sibbles, "It's a good experience. There are foundation musician like Ernie Ranglin, Hux Brown, who played on several of our (Tamlins) early hit songs. We used to play for Sly and Robbie as most of our songs were produced by them on their Taxi Label. And we used to be Peter Tosh's back up singers. Sly and Robbie used to be in his band so it is like a real reunion."

The great man himself, Ernie Ranglin in his humble way said, "It is nice. I haven't seen them for over 30 years. Not seeing them for a long time, just nice, same spirit, fine musicians, we had great times in those day and it is good to relive those days."

Dawn Penn said "It is invigorating, very gratifying for what we do, thanks (to) the people who had this vision to bring it back to what it used to be. Hats off to Rita Marley and Tuff Gong also, they have been doing a great job and carrying on the work."

Engineer Errol Brown who had worked on several Rock Steady songs said he had a bitter sweet experience on the project, as he explained. "It was good seeing all these great musician but it was very sad to see them, shaky and poor. They have put in the work and paved the way for Jamaica's music and haven't been rewarded for their work. People like Coxsone Dodd and my Uncle Duke Reid gave them little or nothing. They got up to 15 pounds – 30 pounds for their work when they (Coxsone and Reid) made up to 30, 000 pounds. They should have gotten their fair reward."

Girlie charged for molesting a boy
Girlie, Girlie, Girlie, what's wrong with you? Everybody wants to know. Everyone remembers Lascell "Girlie" Parnell for his role in many Jamaican plays, where he always plays the roles of females. Well it seems this has affected him psychologically as he was charged and arrested for sexually molesting a teenage boy in Brooklyn. It's like he has forgotten that this is real life not a play and he is a man not a woman.
It was reported by the police that on May 28, 2008 the teenage boy's mother reported that "Girlie" allegedly molested her son. The police carried out their investigation and he was arrested. On May 29, 2008 he was charged and arrested for the allegations. He was later released on a US$7500 bail with surety.
This was not all, it only gets worse. Later "Girlie" was arrested again for child pornography. Has this man (male or female) lost his mind? There is no evidence of "Girlie" being formally charged with these additional offences. If he is, he will be deported back to Jamaica. This is not good. He better not be involved and stays where he is. He will need another lawyer as well, because it is rumoured that his original lawyer "bailed on him".

Shaq Loses Deputy Status
Shaquille O'Neal will lose his special deputy's badge in Maricopa County because of language he used in a rap video that mocks former teammate Kobe Bryant.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the Phoenix Suns center's use of a racially derogatory word and other foul language left him no choice. Arpaio made Shaq a special deputy in 2006 and promoted him to colonel of his largely ceremonial posse later that year.
"I want his two badges back," Arpaio told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they're fired. I don't condone this type of racial conduct."
Shaq was seen in a video posted on the celebrity news and gossip Web site TMZ.com rapping that "Kobe couldn't do without me." O'Neal skewers the Lakers' star, with whom he won three straight NBA titles from 2000-2002 while with Los Angeles, for not being able to win a championship without him.
"I was freestyling. That's all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever," O'Neal told ESPN.com Monday. A call to the Suns on Tuesday seeking comment from O'Neal was referred to his public relations firm, which didn't immediately respond.

Busy's lyrics sending wrong signals
Another artiste is now receiving a hard time because of his violent lyrics. Promoters of the 12th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival have been expressing concern since the line up of artistes for the show has been released. They fear that the use of profanity, lyrics promoting violence and sexual acts will be on display.
The main artiste for this event is Busy Signal. The promoters are however worried as they feel his lyrics are violence based.
They have argued that everyone knows Busy Signal for his "gangsta" lyrics which have been perceived to persuade people to use violence to resolve issues. This is depicted in his breakout hit single "Step Out", a line from which goes: "Afta mi step out, inna mi black, have glock, unda mi throwback. Shot holla pon spot, Badman nuh tek back chat..." and "Bwoy disrespect, Mi get mi guns fi do a fine job". The promoters fear that Busy's lyrics will not be appropriate and are too violent for him to be on the show.
Violence in the Caribbean, especially Jamaica, has been on the rise, so people are questioning whether the Music Festival Committee's choice to allow Busy to be a part of the show will just add fuel to fire. They are taking into consideration that Busy's fan base consists of teenagers, mostly males, and his lyrics are not portraying a positive message. Although Busy Signal was selected on the basis of his popularity, concerned individuals are still questioning this move.
The CEO for the St. Kitts Music Festival, Alistair Williams, has advised the public that this event is known to offer a broad blend of musical expressions and therefore whoever is slated to perform will be advised that their lyrics have to be appropriate in terms of the contract that will be established. This he explains is a surety as it is a part of the Festival's artiste contract that explicit language will not be allowed.

Look for better alternatives
Honestly what is the world coming to when we in Jamaica are gonna contemplate legalizing the oldest profession in the world. Sex workers Association? Articles have even gone on to refer to it as an industry? What is so Industrious about that?
I am no prude but come on man shouldn't there be a better programme aimed at helping these men and women to have some respect for themselves, helping them to look at a better alternative than abusing their bodies night after night? Can you imagine how shocked I was when I heard the PRO for the association coming on national television and saying they are willing to pay their taxes and stuff like that.
Before you had prostitutes, but they were never willing to come up front and admit that they are involved in it, now everywhere you turn it is staring you in the face. If this trend is to be continued, then very soon Jamaica will have their own 'red light district. Instead of suggesting such a thing about legalizing something that's morally wrong, not to mention unsafe for these men and women, come up with some better programmes that can set them on the path to independence and one which will see them not using their bodies as a means of support.
It saddens me that women have allowed themselves to be nothing but a few minutes of pleasure for some man, just so that they can put food on the table for their children. But on the flip side, how do you look at your kids and tell them, this is what mommy has to do to support you and then turn around and tell you daughter, that she shouldn't?
I am not judgmental, but I think prostitution is the easy way out for women who are just too lazy to seek better alternatives or they just want the easy way out for a fast buck.
I admire those women on the streets who sell donuts, bag juice, whatever it takes to make two ends meet without compromising. Without a doubt, life is hard and it shows no signs no getting any easier...but taking to the streets and trading sex for money is not an option...a suh mi sey

News Brief
Florida HIV/AIDS Advocacy Groups, Health Departments To Increase HIV Awareness Among Minorities Ahead of National HIV Testing Day.
HIV/AIDS advocacy groups and health departments in Florida are planning several events aimed at increasing awareness about HIV among minorities ahead of National HIV Testing Day, which is scheduled for Friday, the Naples Daily News reports.
According to the Daily News, Florida in 2006 reported the third-highest AIDS rate for blacks and fourth-highest rate for Hispanics nationwide, as well as the highest rate for whites. Amalia Zamot, regional minority HIV/AIDS coordinator for the Florida Department of Health, said that there is a "general disproportion" in HIV/AIDS rates among white and minority communities in the area. She added that the disparity is especially true for the area's black community, in which one in every 72 people is living with HIV/AIDS.
Advocacy groups and county health departments are implementing several
programs in an effort to increase awareness and improve testing rates
among minorities. The Collier County Health Department is offering on-site testing, treatment, education and support programs, according to Scott Tims, the department's HIV/AIDS program manager. Tims added that department staff also are increasing outreach efforts and are working with local churches and not-for-profit groups to increase testing and establish outreach programs. In addition, the Lee County Health Department has set up several HIV testing centers throughout the region.
Although advocates and health workers are working to improve testing among minorities, Zamot said efforts also need to be made to reduce stigma associated with the virus. "We have to be culturally sensitive and culturally proficient," Zamot said (Batista, Naples Daily News, 6/21).

Jamaica - More murders than square mile!
Instead of the level of crime in Jamaica being reduced it seems to be aggressively increasing. According to The Gleaner, the Global Ratings Agency has ranked Kingston as the 31st most dangerous city in the world to live in. This report was issued earlier this month. Jamaica is a small island yet the level of crime committed in our island reflects that of a larger country.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police Mark Shields has, however, come forth to say that this report is unfair as most of the crimes in Jamaica are gang related. He explains that although Kingston is ranked as unsafe, in comparison to London and other developed countries, it is one of the safest.
This may be true but it does not excuse the fact that at least 800 persons have been killed in Jamaica in 2008 with nearly fifty percent of these murders taking place in Kingston and St. Andrew alone.
Many persons have asked, what can be done to solve this problem? Many have argued that without sufficient jobs the crime level will not decrease. This is true because when you think about it people are just looking for a way to survive and provide for their families. Some are just plain frustrated, as nothing that they do seems to make a difference to their standard of living, so they lash out at society and unfortunately me and you. If these men and women had better opportunities and constructive things to do then some of them would not have the time to get mixed up in criminal activities.
I know we all just wish that everyone would stop the killing and fighting and live as one.

Ninja Man in Canada after 21 years
Dressed in all white, Ninja Man took his seat at the front of the conference centre, appearing relaxed, and focused on discussing the One Umbrella Movement and its' organization, which promotes non-violence, especially amongst the youth.
"There is no one better than me to head this movement. Bounty can't do it; Beenie Man can't do it. Only a man like me who has lived the life I've lived can be a role model to these youths, and telling them that if they go the path of drugs, they will end up like this, or if they take up a gun, they will end up like that. I've been down that road, which everyone knows, and it's time for me to take up this cause to save the youths from a life that's not good. I know; I've been there as everybody knows. The only two other man who could do this is Josie Whales, or Super Cat. We know that violence will never be eliminated, but we can at least bring violence down, and I am going to do it"! So said Ninja Man when asked how his life's experience has prepared him for this role
It's been 21 years since Ninja Man has touched Canadian soil, but this past weekend put that two decade absence to an end as Ninja Man, escorted by his wife, held a press conference at York University promoting the One Umbrella Movement founded by the Don Gargon himself.
"The press conference is being held to let the people know that after 21 years, Ninja Man is able to travel to Canada and also to spread awareness for the One Umbrella Movement" said Fabian 'Fabo' Hanson of Vibes Entertainment, who is responsible for obtaining Ninja Man's travel documents to Canada, as well as the United States. Fabo, long time business man, promoter and immigration consultant, has been chosen by Ninja to head the Canadian chapter of the One Umbrella Movement. The One Umbrella Movement was officially launched in Jamaica December, of 2007.
Ninja Man extended the invitation to community leaders and non-leaders urging everyone to play an important role. "A leader may be in a position to donate things we need, which is good. A non leader might only be able to negotiate peace between two youths warring; we still need him too". Ninja made it clear that he is the overall head of the organization, including chapters in other countries as he seriously joked with conference attendees when saying "Ah me run di program no matta which part ah di world me ah deal wid. Dem haffi do weh me tell dem fi do"!
Ninja Man, in association with Vibes Entertainment, will hold a concert on August 15th, 2008 in Toronto at The Kool Haus 132 Queen Quay East.

In recognition of International Reggae Day, the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO) in association with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Jamaica Trade and Invest (JTI), present the IRD Copyright Forum at the Terra Nova Hotel on July 1st. JIPO's ongoing work to heighten public awareness on the importance and economic value of Intellectual Property Rights and the need for the protection of these rights, will gain momentum and additional support with the July 1st forum which is open to the public. Produced annually as a virtual media reggae festival hosted by Jamaica, IRD seeks to combine the power of music, media and technology to celebrate and highlight the power and impact of Jamaican culture around the world.
IRD 2008 joins with the Toots Foundation in a one-year campaign to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Reggae as defined by the 1968 recording of Do the Reggae by Toots and the Maytals, which is credited with giving the genre its name.
According to JIPO's Executive Director, Ms. Carol Simpson, "JIPO is the Government agency responsible for managing the intellectual property system in Jamaica and one of our objectives for the forum is update the business, financial and creative communities on the developments in the copyright sector, nationally and internationally."
Participants at the forum will have an opportunity to hear the important findings of the recently released WIPO Report on the contribution of the Jamaican Copyright to the national economy from its author, UWI Lecturer and Economist Dr. Vanus James.
Speaking to the growing practice of using Intellectual Property as an asset for accessing loans and venture capital will be WIPO guest speaker, Laurent Manderieux, Professor of Intellectual Property Law at L. Bocconi University of Milan, Italy, Associate Professor of Copyright Law at the University of Francophone States, and Visiting Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Trento, Italy.
No stranger to Jamaica, Professor Manderieux developed the 'WIPO Outreach Plan For Strengthening Public Awareness Of Intellectual Property Rights At A National Level in Jamaica', as well as the Outreach Plan For Strengthening Public Awareness Of Intellectual Property Rights in the Caribbean.
In confirming WIPO's decision to co-sponsor the IRD Copyright Forum, Ms. Francesca Toso, Senior Counsellor in the Latin America and Caribbean Bureau at WIPO stated that "It is a part of WIPO's mandate to assist all nations, particularly developing and least developed countries, in using the intellectual property (IP) system to promote their economic, social and cultural development. In this respect, WIPO is pleased to support JIPO and by extension, the Jamaican creative and business communities, in facilitating the discussions taking place on International Reggae Day. It is hoped that the forum will promote a greater understanding of the value of Intellectual Property as assets and how they may be better exploited to achieve individual and national economic benefits."

Hello world here comes Natalie Storm
Born Natalie Cole in rural Jamaica, she moved to Kingston as a child. Natalie grew up listening to, and being influenced by the sounds of Motown, Madonna, and dancehall female artistes like Mumma Nancy, Lady Patra and Lady Saw. It was while a student at the Holy Childhood High School that she decided to make a career of music. After joining the Holy Childhood choir she successfully auditioned for the Cathy Levy Players.
While still in school, Natalie was approached by a producer seeking female singers for an all girl reggae group. The group was Make Boyz Cry(M.B.C). After a few years as group leader and an album released by the Toshiba-Emi label in Japan, Natalie decided in late 2006 to pursue an alternative course. She left the group and began to record material with some of the top producers in Jamaica and across the globe. These include, Swatch International, Flabba (MO’ Music), Ward 21, Jam 2, Seanizzle, Wildlife (Switzerland), Phlatline (Germany) and New York based Stretch Armstrong (who has produced for Nelly Feurtado, Lil' Kim, Wu Tang Clan).

What's poppin'
No Finish Line
Isn't it sad when artistes and their fans are mashing up the business. Can you imagine Finish Line the Summer edition which was supposed to be held on Saturday featuring Kartel and Mavado did not get a permit from the police to be held in the division...cause they feared the two camps would go at it.
Remember that big press conference at Pegasus Hotel where the two cried peace, wonder if they didn't remember to pass it on to their supporters. Save the music, before nutten nuh lef!

Actor Shauna Chin arriving as a guest to Haile Selassie's Palace on May 30,2008 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She was one of the guests to arrive as personal invitation to dine with the current President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Ato Girma W. Giorgis for her work as a Humanitarian.
She was very ladylike, but you could tell she was struck by Selassie's throne. They had his original throne exactly like how he left it and she kept touching it. That's that carved thing that she is standing by. The last picture is part of the throne by itself.
