INTRO
Dah da da da dah die
Dah da da da dah die

VERSE:1
Behind these prison walls
Doing my paces doing my time
Spending my restless nights
Visioning faces oh they are crying, crying

Prison a no bed a roses
The levity it makes mi bawl.
I wish that Jah could come and take us back in time

CHORUS:
Cause I swear that I can be a better man
Yes I swear if only you could understand
The faith in me shall set me free reflection
The faith in me shall set me free reflection

VERSE:2
Behind these metal bars
To Jah Jah I'm chanting
I pray for love Devine
I'm oh so sorry a man
Deeply I'm hurting
The price ordained to be mine
Impossible to see the changes that I have made in my life
All they see is just the boy I left behind

CHORUS:
And I swear that I can be a better man
Yes I swear if only you could understand
The faith in me shall set me free reflection
The faith in me shall set me free reflection

BRIDGE:
Don't judge me wrong
Cause now I 'm stronger than I was before
I was young and unwise
Didn't you hear my cry
Impossible to see the changes that I made in my life
All they see is just the boy I left behind

REP CHORUS:
Cause I swear I can be a better man
I swear if only you could understand
I swear I can be a better man
And I swear I swear
The faith in me shall set me free reflection
The faith in me shall set me free
The faith in me shall set me free

Mmmmm mmmmmm
The faith shall set me free
Set me free free yeah
Freeee .

"Behind These Prison Walls", has become a dancehall anthem and it is undoubtedly the biggest tune for 2005. Jah Cure is Jamaica's next mega star.I am calling on the authorities to release "The Cure".

"Yo dem need fi release di cure, a tru ting hit a mash up di place big big, yo me seh any how dah man yah come out bretherin him a mek some serious money see weh me a seh. yo di cure have some powerful lyrics to rasta...."
FREE UP DI CURE STR8...........

Posted by: Toni-Ann aka JUICY at September 9, 2005 05:06 PM

while ur at it y dont u just ask that they release the rest of the rapist in jamaican jails it seems ur forgetting that this rape was committed at gun point. Just suggest that the rest of rapist and gun men start singing. the cure u want them to release is just a common criminal u shouldn't even get the privelage of wearing anything other than what the othr prisoners wear. this just too painfull for me . singers above the law

well i have something to say yes jah cure doing good song like the man for what he is doing but the only thing i can say if he really rape that young lady he should do the time cause i have a sister and a mother and if it was any of dem trust me it will be some things cause if a man rape its a crime to me but has i say i love the man and what he says in is song but dammmmmmmm when u rape its a pain that young lasy hav eto live with all that flash back in her life so am just saying if he dose it he need to be real and ask the world for forgiveness.

yo jah cure a gwan good still that song is a big tune all mi affi seh is Free jah cure

Posted by: stacy at September 11, 2005 08:39 PM

people stop 4 awhile and check yu 4 a minute, to the details of the evidence put b4 u about the rape case, isnt it more than reasonably fi the i dem fi really check wat jah cure get himself inna, i feel the rape happen, and i dont see why the people dem a big up a so call rass weh deh behind bars fi raping one of our own sis. wat kinda world r we living in? jamaican people we seem to be living blood and blindness, a nu soh JAM ROCK run.

Posted by: blaque label at September 14, 2005 10:28 AM

its a shame to see how my fellow jamaican is placing this man (jah cure) above the rest of rapist. we all know from the evedence that he did it, and he didnt even have the courage to say a public appology, he get the change no other rapist get when he did that interview.JAH CURE need to be a man and say he is sorry. that will not help the young lady but it can do a lot of good.

Posted by: nadio at September 15, 2005 11:02 AM

i love my jahcure n i kno he's innocent ok tell da haters stop hating ok cuz he needs 2b out man

Posted by: gabby at September 15, 2005 06:59 PM

Well, my opinion is that Jah Cure did rape the girl. Too much evidence is against him. He has not convinced me that he is innocent at all. However now that he has served his time (or most of it) I do beleive he is sorry though. His song says a lot about his feelings about the whole thing, if we really look at the words, its deeper that it seems. So I think the next time a parole hearing comes up it should be based off his rehabilitation and not the crime. Give him a chance and see what happens. If he does something like that again we deal with him like we would with any other... I LOVE HIS MUSIC. FREE JAH CURE.

Posted by: nikki at September 16, 2005 10:11 AM

I mean we are all human and we make mistakes i know he is now sorry that it had happen and he isnt looking that way ever again this has change his life, and make him much stronger now it take things to happen to us for us to know what we are truly made up of or capable of he is a great singer and writer and this should teach the youths of today to live and learn the things that happen in our everyday living so be strong my brother and keep the faith and you will be a free man soon. you are a great artist continue to do that great job i love your songs they really explain how you feel,i'm proud of you ,nette.

Posted by: nette at September 16, 2005 03:59 PM

hey, some ppl need to recognize what kinda of lyrical power jah cure has. to be honest with everyone, i knew about jah cure, but didnt really know about why he was in jail and all that, but his music really inspired me to become a better person. hey we all make mistakes, if he did it, well, by now i am sure he really feels sory for it, but i would hate to see such talent go to waste, and rite now, there is nobody that can tell me i ain't jah cure's biggest fan. i might not know as much as the others but for him to have such positive songs that really meant something to me, i have much respect for the cure....my favorite: Every song i sing, western region, love is, and my favorite till the day i die, true reflections..................................FREE THE CURE.......reppin the bahamas!!!!!....respect

mi personally when i heard his song tears came to my eyes because not only is he crying out for pain of regrets he's saying sorry for what he did how many of us as done things in our lives that we wish we could change i'll be the first with my hands up the rest will follow the bible tells us to forgive our brother 70 times 7 and if god is able to forgive us why then can't we forgive our brother jah cure keep up the good work with your muzik you are not condemed because we got vipers fighting against you but look up to the higher power which is god and once god forgive you, you dont need the world's approval i am praying for you and just to let you know i listen to your songs everyday. God has given you a gift use it cares not what the people dem sey one day your prison door must open live by faith and faith will bring you through god bless you

Posted by: nightnurse10 at September 27, 2005 11:32 PM

I have alot of songs from Jah Cure and for real he's the truest artist out there. This song "Prison Walls" is powerful..alot of people can relate to this song. Just like the statement above..so many people have done wrong in the past but only a few of us can come out and ask for forgiveness.

For life i man support Jah Cure, Jah Mason, richie spice, chuck fender..a whole lot of them ya know

True say I believe that he (jah cure) should be set free. Just keep singing from the heart and Jah will lead you home

Posted by: The_Only_Cure at September 30, 2005 07:59 PM

Don't know the whole true like Jah, Jah Cure and the Young lady, hence I can't cast judgement I'll leave that to Jah. As a young male who was rape at a young age it's hard to look away from casting blame but yet I have to be humble enough to realize that humans do make errors in judgement and that goes both ways. I pray Jah will heal and bless both individuals in the ways He and only He(Jah) see it best fitted. For now I'll just love the music and the strenght being the music Jah Cure spills. For his action whether good or bad let Jah be the judge of that.

JAH CURE WE ALL LOVE U IN ST.KITTS UR SONG is hitting hard when i listen to ur song "true reflection" it reminds me of my brother who almost lost his life during a fight 10/10/05 (his birthday).Everyone learn from there mistakes and all pay for them also but i think that every man deserve a second chance, u r only human the lord would forgive u once he c that u r serious not only with the words of ur song but in ur heart. right now we r still praying for my brothers' life and he is paying for been ignorant and not listening, but we c that he need a second chance and thats wat we r goin to give him. So u c we are all human and we all need a second chance. We love u and u will get out and be on ur feet soon don't worry u will spend the time and prove to the public that u r different. love always skb janelle

I just would like to say that the government in Jamaica are living off Jah cures money and the longer they keep him in prison the more money for them. I don,t think people should judge people that show remorse even if something go like that we don't know what really went on. Media and news are always making things look really bad but no matter what at least he's preaching something positive than all this gun bullshit.LOVE YOU SO MUCH JAH CURE, HOPE TO TELL YOU THIS ONE DAY

when i first heard this song i felt like crying. the words are truly powerful. Jah Cure has an amazing talent and i am so glad that in spite of his situation he is utilizing it. i don't know if he did rape the young lady or not and i refuse to speculate, the only thing that i know is that i will continue to pray to God for him.
one love from a true Jamaican Lady here in New Jersey

Posted by: Nicheal at October 18, 2005 08:52 PM

I have to wonder sometimes why we as jamaicans are so shallow. Becasue he does good music does not take away the facts from the case. How would you feel if you got raped, man or woman? Someone invading your privacy and forcing them selves onto you and you do not have any power to stop them? No one would care if Jah Cure was a nobody. He is a rapist and should not be treated any different to the other rapists. He should serve his time and saying sorry is not enough I was raped and nothing can erase the painfull memory from your mind. He was not famous when this happened and why would the girl lie she would have no gain from all this.

You are all a set of idiots. He's lucky he only got thirteen years for what he did. In some countries they would have castrated his backside. Then he would be "longing for" something else. How would you feel if it was your sister or daughter that was rape. Think on that.
