Shape up or suffer di consequences

Shape up or suffer di consequences

First Guyana now Barbados nuh want nuh part a Kartel and Mavado kinda music. A long time we a preach sey dem fi tecik di slackness and di violence outa di music and just concentrate pon doing good songs inna di dancehall. But dem nah listen, yuh soon hear sey States, Europe and all deese places doan want nuh part a dancehall. And just we fool fool people a Jamaica a gwaan like sey win uh realize sey di business a guh dung di toilet. If more boos did a come pon stage when slackness a chant di music woulda change long time.

I am a selecta and for people to have such a negative opinion against dancehall music is WRONG........i am guyanese and im goin on record saying both guyana and barbados are very wrong. they r so quick to ban dancehall but yet im sure 50 cent snoop dog lil wayne or any one of dem yankee bwoys could do a show and it wuld be no critizism. music is an expression of life and feeling and if we as a society cannot express how we feel then what are we really living for...............bless and love to all JAH RASTAFARII

i agree that the two djs need to gwaan better. but some a dem other caribean island were already jealous of us and the reggae and want to see their calypso could get a break worldwide like reggae. they will throw a few punch if they can with the hope that calypso with get that desperate break...they probably thinking that since we are killing our own music why not help us do it...they have nothing to loose...they are more to gain than loose.
