Last night at the Gardens of the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, a host of celebrities turned out for the sixth staging of the Excellence in Music and Entertainment Awards. It was a paparazzi event and the Red Stripe red carpet was the place to be as singer, deejays and a host of music industry personnel rubbed shoulders under the glare of the video lights.


There were some great performances from Toots Hibbert, International Friend of Reggae, India.Arie alongside Gramps Morgan, Marion ‘Lady Saw’ Hall, the Bonner Brothers and Nadine Sutherland, who was among the artistes paying tribute to Studio One. Most of the winners were on hand to collect their awards, or in the case of the Big Ship Family, Chino, Stephen and the entire crew from the ship made their way on stage. There were a few surprise winners but the night’s top winner was Vybz Kartel who copped three awards. See complete list of nominee and winners below:
