Star-studded lineup for Bob Marley Charity Football Matches and Celebrity Olympics

The 27th annual Bob Marley Charity Football Matches and Celebrity Olympics, scheduled for Ash Wednesday, February 17 will see a celebrity cast competing in friendly football matches and track events at the National Stadium. Among those already confirmed to participate are Cobra, Elephant Man, Sky Juice, Wayne Marshall, Chino, Chris Martin, Aidonia, Ding Dong, Jimmy Adams, Bruce Bicknell, Zachary Harding, Wolde Harris, Peter Prendegrast, Lenny Hyde, Ali Mcnab and Courtney Walsh.
The exciting roster of events includes the Celebrities vs. Entertainers football match, Corporate 100 metres dash, Female Artistes 100 metres dash and DREAM Promoters 4 x 100 metres relay, featuring promoters of the popular Negril DREAM Weekend parties.
This staging will mark the first time the event is being held at the National Stadium. “This venue facilitates the newly-added track element and gives the sponsors a wider arena to showcase their brands and allows for more persons to support the event”, explains Deane Shepherd, director of Blueprint , organizers of the event.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to select local children’s charities earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
