Sacred Space
In the sacred space of prayer, I am renewed.
Jesus advised us to "pray always." He knew the importance of finding a sacred space where one could retreat from the outer activities of the day and rest in quiet, contemplative prayer.
My sacred space may be a specific room in my home or a favorite garden. It may be a chapel or sanctuary I often visit. I can create a sacred space for myself, whether I retreat to a physical place or to a place in consciousness. The important thing is that I take time to be with God, to rest my mind and body, and to renew my spirit. In my sacred space I relax, breathe deeply and release the cares of the day. I allow the presence of God to fill me in mind, body and soul, and I am renewed.
Go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.--Matthew 6:6.Inspired by this message? Want to talk to friends about it? Share your thoughts here.
