As the musical war between the Mavado-led Gully and the Gaza, represented by Vybz Kartel, heats up, one T-shirt manufacturer is making money from the feud.
However, clothing brand Drenz Fashion is dismissing rumours in the street that they are the manufacturers of the controversial garments.
CEO Richie Drenz says he is not a Gaza or Gully fan, he’s a fan of music.
“I don’t believe there is no need for segregation in the music industry. I represent fashion, suh a fashion mi seh, pree we name Drenz Fashion. Mi no need fi put Gaza or Gully to promote my sales,” he is quoted as saying in one newspaper.
Word began circulating that Drenz was producing a line of Gully/Gaza T-shirts after products of similar style and print began to appear on the market.
Richie Drenz, In further clearing his brand, explained that his signature wrong sided stitch, is missing from the Gully/Gaza shirts on the market.
“It would not make any business sense to print Gaza or Gully on my T-shirts when I have spent years creating an independent brand,” he added.
So the question remains, Who is making the Gully/Gaza T-shirts?
