Machete Wielding Attacker Caught
The man who attacked a taxi man in Papine this week was caught by the police. TVJ’s video footage showed a rastaman chopping away at a cab driver…but when the police held him he was a ‘bald head’.
The man, who was wearing dreadlocks at the time, had a bald head when he was pick up by the police during an operation in Mud Town, a tough community near Papine. He was identified as Barrington 'Bobby' Aldridge.
The accused man is scheduled to appear before the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to answer to felonious wounding charges, the police said.
The police, following the showing of the attack on television, launched a manhunt for the Rastafarian but when the search ended yesterday a clean-shaven Aldridge was held.
The taxi operator, who was wounded, in the incident was discharged from hospital yesterday.
Police could not say what was the motive for the attack.
