Good Move Dancehall Fans

Can you believe my surprise when I came across a flyer advertising a show dubbed Gully Gaza Fans Unity Party which will be held at the Building on Tuesday, September 29. They even have a dress code where Gully wear black and Gaza wear white.

If this is a dance truly meant to unite the bickering factors, then all I have to say is more power to them. It spells no sense that two talented individuals spend the most of their time inciting their fans to be choosing sides.

Literate people are not meant to be behaving this way.

It would be good if Vybz Kartel and Mavado go the extra mile and turn up at this dance which is scheduled to be held at The Building (formerly the Asylum Nightclub) and shake hands, signifying an end of the war.

There is enough conflict going on in the country without the entity that’s supposed to provide some relief being a contributing factor in itself.

For whatever reasons this dance has materialized I hope it will prove to be the catalyst for the beginning of a positive vibes between the two.
