No Fire at Foota Hype's House

News spread like wildfire Monday evening that the residence of embattled Alliance selector, Foota Hype, had been burnt to the ground, However, it all proved to be nothing more than an unfounded rumour.

All evening into late last night, the selector was kept busy on his phone reassuring concerned family members, friends and fans that "everyting criss".

"Dem shoot up him mother house and now dem start rumour say the youth house burn dung. A pure eediat ting a gwaan," an insider told Yardflex.

"I don't really want to say anything except that is just rumours ... the house is fine," Foota Hype is quoted as saying.

Foota Hype is embroiled in a battle of sorts with deejay Mavado and the two have been publicly airing their grievances. They both hail from the Cassava Piece community known as 'the Gullyside'.

Following the shooting up of Foota Hype's mother's house two weeks ago, the Range Rover belonging to Mavado was reportedly shot up while parked at his upscale Armour Heights residence in upper St Andrew.

In a television interview on the weekend, Foota Hype, who has declared his innocence in that issue, described the alleged shooting up of the vehicle as mysterious.

The selector, however, was subsequently taken into custody on another matter relating to the alleged beating up of a resident from Cassava Piece and charged with assault. After spending a few days behind bars, he was released and appeared in court on Friday for a hearing into the matter.

Foota Hype's bail was extended.
