Maad!!! Foota Deh A Road Again!!!
Hype selector Foota Hype, who spent almost one week behind bars at the Constant Spring lock-up in Kingston has been out on bail since Monday.
“Maaaaad, me deh a road again!!! Maaaadd,” is how Foota describes his release in a message on his myspace page.
The selector is to answer to assault charges in court on Friday, resulting from an incident in the Cassava Piece community, from which both Foota and the reputed Gully God Mavado hail. Both Foota Hype and Mavado, who were once friends have been at odds for sometime now, and supporters of both have joined in the fight.
It is alleged that Foota Hype, assaulted a resident of Cassava Piece, the community popularly referred to as the "Gullyside".
The incident was reported to the Constant Spring police, who subsequently picked up the selector and arrested and charged him for assault.
Interestingly, however, Foota Hype’s mother’s house in Cassava Piece was allegedly shot up the week before the incident, but so far no one has been arrested and charged.
Foota, since his release, has been keeping under the radar, perhaps for his own safety.
