Toll fee raise without warning

toll booth.jpgMotorist had a rude awakening on Saturday as they head to the toll booth. Instead of the usual $230, $310 and $560 fee they saw a new figure of $270, $370 and $700. Now really we think it was total disrespect to take motorist off guard like that. But then again maybe if some had known they wouldn’t have bothered to take the toll road. I think it’s time that motorist send a message to demand respect…they should leave the toll authority with the road all by their lonesome selves.

It should only be used on those rare occasions when people are “treating themselves” to an easy cruise.

Those figures are ridiculously high and if you multiply that by two for the day and then by five for the week, then that’s a mighty lot of money that could have gone to the gas that is going on the toll road.

With motorist still taking the road as if there was no price increase, no wonder every government entity is pressuring them, they obviously must feel that they have it like that.

Only in Jamaica where people are so divided they can’t even come together for a common cause. Why not carry out a mass boycott on some of the things that are raising without mercy for about a few months and sit back and see the changes

Protest for the sake of protest and then still expect police protection

Every time a bad man is taken off the streets the people from the community come out en masse and protest how “he was a good youth” “police wicked’ and all kind of things. Not to say that there aren’t instances when we doubt the police story. But these same people provide a covering for the wrong doers and then when things are getting out of hand they in turn are cussing and saying the police are not coming in the area to help them.

Help them for what…to come out and protest again!
