Honestly, the other day I was reading the Star and my stomach literally turned at what was in it.
Can you believe a 44 year old man tried to get his niece, who is a minor, to extend sexual favours to him was shockingly let off the hook with a stern warning when the matter was brought to the police last Thursday.
The incident which occurred in a St Thomas community and at times like that I can only think of the song that Chuck Fenda did entitle Gash Dem and Light Dem. The fact that he got off with a warning is also disgusting, he should have been made to pay a price with the loss of freedom…what’s to stop him from trying it again?
According to the report the man allegedly approached the child and tried to convince her to allow him to fondle her vagina. After the minor denied his initial request, the persistent uncle told his niece that he was willing to pay for her services if she allowed him to have his way.
Reports continue that the child told her father about her uncle's gross request shortly afterwards and a report was made to the police.
Honestly, that father is strong, I would have dealt with his case and then turn him over to the police. I don’t understand what kind of sick society we are living in. I’m just thankful he never got his way with his niece.
It’s a sad day when you have to be careful about allowing your daughters…or sons for that matter around your own flesh and blood.
In all of our glory…we still have to deal with these shameless behaviour
