Richie Feelings Injured in Bottle Throwing Incident
Popular selector Richie Feelings, was hurt after a brawl at the weekly session on Constant Spring Road, Uptown Mondays. The selector, who also hosts Feelings Fridays, was at the controls when all hell broke loose and there was a stampede.
Reports are that things were going great at the regular Monday night session — the vibe was building, patrons were streaming in — when at about 1:40 am the mood changed.
According to one eyewitness, Mark, “I can’t really tell you what happened. I was there and then the next thing I see is the crowd moving a way and me just see like a stampede, but me can’t tell you what happen and how it start.”
When the crowd cleared and the dust settled, popular selector, Richie Feelings was left nursing a gash over the eye and his face was covered in blood, but no-one could identify what brought about all of this.
Chat! caught up with Richie Feelings yesterday and he explained that the stampede at the event, and his subsequent injury was the result of an altercation he had with the entourage of an up-coming artiste.
“Last week Monday while I was playing a man bring a CD and tell me to play. I explain that is not how I work as I did not know the tune, it is a new artiste and I don’t know if it will fit in with what I was playing at the time,” Feelings explained.
The selector added that the men then proceeded to “style him up” referring to him in derogatory terms. He said when this happened he took the initiative to announce, via the public address system, that he was being verbally abused by these men.
