Lord help us

After reading a story in the Star I had to wonder to myself what the world is coming to.; For all those who are saying that it’s just music then they had better rethink that one. An elderly man asked a teen to desist from listening to the ‘nasty’ music as all he was hearing was expletives and instead of obeying the elder the teen proceeded to attack the poor man, because he didn’t like the fact that he was being chided for his taste in music.

After going to court the teen eventually walked free as the elderly man spoke with his step father and decided not to press charges.

Now to tell the truth, I don’t think they did the best thing for him, cause no doubt he will again attack anyone else who dare to come between him and his nasty music.

The aggressive, disrespectful music is doing its job, it’s producing some angry young people who have little regard for authority.

At the end of the day, you can all say this and that, debating the matter any which way you want, but the stark naked reality is that, parents need to step in now and rescue their kids before it is too late.

Start monitoring what they are listening in the name of music…don’t think the disrespect won’t reach you too.

Let’s start setting some standards now..just because DJs choose to record foolishness don’t mean we should give them audience with it.

How true

We are living in such a sad state of mind and time. Young adults has no respect for the enderly,or there family anymore. When i read the news in the Glener on line, i was shock, at how a person life in Ja dose'nt mean damm thing anymore.I am not shock that he attact the man because everyone is so vile, and dos'nt think before they act, no matter the conciqunces, it gets worst and worst evey day. Parents need to pay more attention to there children, moniter there music, the programs and shows they like to watch, and also the friends they hang out with. There are no morals in the homes nowadays, parents want to be frinds with there kids insted of been the parent they're soppose to be.

Yo it's not right fi him attack a elderly man or any man or woman but it's music it's a personal choice..nobody can tell someone what they should like, is not everybody want listen to culture or gospel all the time. Maybe the elderly man should move from beside di yute also and not interfere in people business..

In my opinion your article makes no sense. I dont see how listening to the music directly influenced the child's behavior. It could be that the boy's innate personality is RUDE. If it were that we heard the child's father say that his son's behaviour made a turn for the worse since listening to dancehall music then I could respect the bias of your article. However this was not the case. I understand what you are trying to get at but your argument does not follow.
