Usain to di world
By Joan Wilson
Boy, honestly, I can’t express how my heart is bursting with pride following the glorious race that triple Olympic Gold medalist Usain Bolt ran. Yes, it was a great thrill when he clocked those amazing times in Beijing, China.
But with his super race that he ran in Manchester, England, we have now started to think “beyond the ordinary” where this runner is concerned.
According to the times that were posted, the last 100m his race showed that he did it in 8.72 seconds leaving us to wonder in amazement what will happen when he steps to the track again in the 100m…could he…will he…I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking that maybe, just may he can shatter his own record and set an almost impossible target for someone to erase.
I have to agree with the runner who came in second to Bolt, “Usain is in a league of his own”.
Which other athlete can party like there is no tomorrow, enjoy fast food, not particularly fond of training, had an accident about three weeks ago and still post that incredible time?
I can’t think of any…except Usain Bolt.
Right now, it feels pretty great to be a Jamaica. In spite of all the negativity that happening in the country, I am glad for days like this when Usain shows the world that we are still a special bunch of people.
I feel like chanting the words of Mavado’s song with a little adaptation of my own, “we’re so special, so special, so special!”
Usain, to di world!
On behalf of Yardflex, we just want send kudos to him for yet another wonderful accomplishment.
