Taxi driver was strangled; cops revisit crime scene

cri0613_s.jpgThe findings from the autopsy report on the body of a taxi driver have prompted the police investigators to revisit the crime scene for new evidence, as they now suspect foul play.
The autopsy report on the body of Fitzroy Samuels, a taxi driver in Portland, has revealed that he was strangled.
Samuels, also known as 'Shorty', 37, was found hanging from a length of rope at Passley Gardens in the parish on May 3.
The police said during the autopsy, which was performed on Tuesday in Kingston, several fingerprints were detected around the dead man's throat.

Samuels was last seen by residents shortly after 7:00 a.m. on the morning of May 3 when he went to a nearby shop to purchase cigarettes.

The Port Antonio police are investigating.
