Jamaican rotting in funeral home
75-year-old Jamaican immigrant Barring Perrin who died on December 22 last year is still in a Florida funeral and is now rotting.
This was brought to the fore when a state inspector reported smelling a strong odor during a March 26 visit to Epps Mortuary and said she found a badly deteriorated body, which had either been inadequately embalmed or not embalmed at all. The body was also not refrigerated.
However, the funeral home owner Lawrence Epps said he used his own money to embalm Perrin since his Jamaica-based family did not want to help with the costs.
Epps who’s now had an emergency order prohibiting him from embalming bodies says he knows he will be vindicated.
