Gash dem and light them

I am forced to think of the words of Chuck Fenda’s song when I think about all that’s happening in the society. The latest news that has be fired up is one about the 82-year-old man from Bog Walk, St Catherine who was arrested and charged with gross indecency against a 13-year-old school boy.
The worst part about it is that he didn’t even deny the charge, he pleaded guilty to the deed when he appeared before Linstead’s Resident Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
Things like this really get me fired up, now what in hell could he want with a little boy and at his age too. Don’t tell me that I should have some pity for him, no wonder Chuck Fenda said Gash dem and light dem….I think they deserve no less.
Big old grandfather should be doting on his grandchildren and telling them stories about when he was a boy or reading the bible to them, look what he is involved in.
I think they should throw the book at him and let him be an example to those sickos out there who won’t allow our children to grow up in peace, but instead all they do is try to spoil them and break them out. No wonder that fifteen year old in Old Harbour tried to do the same thing to an eleven year-old, who to tell if some sick old fool hadn’t done the same thing to him.
The charge is there for each of us to be on guard for our children, we have to be vigilant and stop leaving them alone with men you think you know so well. Look at that, who would have thought a big old bark, like the 82-year-old would be trying that on the child?
After the boy was there on his parents consent. He was the one who called the parents and told them he had something at home for them. He asked them to send the child to collect it to bring to them. While the child was the old man went to urinate and would you believe it he showed the boy his penis and wanted him to perform certain acts on him…the child refused and ran home to tell his parents everything. Hence the case came to light.
Don’t take anything for granted, know where your children are and don’t leave them to those sickos mercies.
