No More RJR AM!
Radio Jamaica Limited has ceased operation of its RJR AM service on Monday.
As a result of this Nationwide radio which was heard on the AM band, will no longer be available on that frequency.
According to a story posted on RJR’s website, Managing Director of the RJR Communications Group, Gary Allen explains that the decision was made due to the ongoing lack of viability in operating the service.
"General radio output of RJR will not be affected by this move as the AM service was leased to Nationwide News Network. We have assessed the arrangements and we have assessed the operations of the network and it is no longer viable for us to continue with it," said Mr. Allen.
Nationwide News Network has been broadcasting on RJR's AM service for the past two years.
The service was terminated at 5:05 Monday afternoon
