Mary J. Blige planning gospel album

maryjblige.jpgIn a recent interview with BellaOnline, secular singer Mary J Blige has declared that she too will be making a gospel album, sooner rather than later.

We all know that Blige is not a Christian but you could say she is definitely a work in progress.

She has been known as one to always connect with God through her music, as in few of her songs she gives him thanks and acknowledges God's presence in her life. Songs such as 'Testimony', "Work In Progress (Growing Pains)," and "Work That," to name a few.

We at YardFlex anticipate the production and release of this album, and hope to see other artistes both locally and internationally following in her footstep.

Well, I wouldn't be surprise if she announced that has converted to Christianity. Most of the R&B stars often head in that direction in the latter stages of their career.

I would be delighted if she did, because I'm sure Mary would be a big hit if she made her transition to Gospel music.

I really hope this is not a one off thing (her Gospel album), but a turn in a new direction and the start of things to come. I really hope Mary make that change and continue to inspire and uplift us with her music as she has always been doing.
