A music free Jamaica
By Rootzgirl
I’m dreaming of a new Jamaica where people can live in love and harmony. Where we can once again enjoy the simple things in life and kick back to some great music…whether on or off the bus!
Sad to say maybe that’s all I will be able to do …dream. If the government has its way then listening to music on the bus and being entertained on a long journey by watching a movie or taking in some music videos may be a thing of the past.
While the government moves to censor the music, I have no problem with that, but cutting off every avenue of entertainment … well that’s crossing the line.
Needless to say it’s not even safe to be driving in a vehicle that isn’t equipped with a radio. There are times when it will be necessary to listen to the radio to monitor the news especially in times of storms or maybe to find out if there unrest and areas to avoid.
This leaves the big question is Broadcast Commission cleaning up the music or eliminating all forms of music altogether?
If we sit back and allow this to happen then what else will be taken from us? Just think about it and make your voices be heard now.
