Presents WOMANBITION, Word, Sound and Power. This will be an all female showcase in commemoration of International Women’s Day, to be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Star Apples, 94 Hope Road, Kingston 6 beginning at 5:00pm.
The women of our society will come out to celebrate in word, music, and motivations. All females are asked to be a part of this majestic occasion.
Come and have a holistic experience as the positive female energy unfolds in the true spirit of WOMANBITION. (A celebration of positive women creating empowerment through artistic and motivational expressions).
Some of the artistes scheduled to perform are: Pam Hall, Queen Ifrica, Tanya Stephens, Empress, Keteis Oyonde, Nelly Stharre, Sharon Tucker, Empress Cadia, Sensi Love, Empress Lava.
It is a free event and donations can me made to two charities- UNIA Nursing Program and Mustard Seed. The UNIA Nursing program is dedicated to improving the standard of living for all Jamaicans working in various communities. The program trains young women to provide essential services including infant and elderly care, raising awareness of health and environmental issues affecting their communities, as well as facilitating workshops and clinics for traditional diseases afflicting Jamaican communities such as diabetes, cancer and blood pressure related illnesses.
