Barack Obama as Spider-Man's sidekick

zz76dd0bf6spidermanbarack2.jpgBarack Obama claimed that as a child he collected Spider-Man and Conan the Barbarian comic books - so now Marvel Comics is featuring him in a bonus story.

Joe Quesada, Marvel Comic's editor-in-chief said that it was "...really cool to see that we had a geek in the White House."

The story begins with Peter Parker, Spider-Man's alter ego, taking photographs at the inauguration ceremony when he spots two identical Obamas. Realising that the future president needs his help he knocks out the imposter and saves the real Obama who thanks him by giving him a fist pump.

The bonus story is available in Marvel Comic's Amazing Spider-Man #583, featuring Obama on the cover.
