Car Crash Kills Students in Westmoreland

 Several families and friends in Westmoreland are now in mourning after getting the news of the death of 18 year-old Lisa Leslie who hailed from Three Miles River and 18 year-old Carey Dawes of Walter Cheddesing Drive, Llandilo.
According to reports, the two were traveling on the Petersfield Main Road in Westmoreland with a group of friends from a Birthday Party in Savanna-La-Mar on Saturday, November 15, 2008. They were on their way to Montego Bay where they planned to attend another event, when the two cars carrying the students ended up in a serious crash.
Dawes who was a passengers in one of the cars was thrown from the vehicle and died on the spot, while Leslie died while undergoing treatment in hospital.
Eight other persons were admitted for treatment, six were released. Leslie was a student of the Montego Bay based Pre-University School, Union Street, while Dawes was a student of the Frome Community College in Savanna-La-Mar.

WHAT A TRAGEDY, MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY. WHY IS IT THAT JAMAICANS CANT DRIVE CAREFULLY THEY AIM TO GET TO WHERE THEY ARE GOING IN LESS TIME THAN POSSIBLE. THEY MUST HAVE BEEN HURRYING TO GET TO THE NEXT PARTY AND LOOK WHAT REACH THEM. SPEED COST LIFE AND ONCE U LOOSE LIFE ITS GONE FOR EVER. SO LADIES AND GENTS START TO SLOW DOWN OR ELSE U WILL DIE OR END UP IN PRISON.

This is wrenching, i can't imagine what family and friends are going through right now. I knew these students from Mannings High School but we never exchanged words. My prayers go out to everybody who's suffering the lost. RIP carey and lisa.

Oh man i can't believe i found this on the internet, the party was my little and favourite cuz and my auntie called the morning with the tragic new now i'm seeing the pic my heart is really broken R.I.P. please take the time out to drive a little more carefully guys...my prayers to the family of the victims

Lisa and Carey were two Very Special People. Their wonderful memories will live on forever. Just cant believe they are really gone.

still feeling the pain of loosing u cuz, an Lisa.... i cant even tell u how i feel in words, I miss u guys.... an now c Chase jus went up to c u guys on sunday. I cant keep loosing all my frenz. love u all. bless up u self yaaa
