Capleton under gay attack again
The international organization, Stop Murder Music singled out eight dancehall artists at its inception and have made them a target for their campaign to see dancehall music cease to call for the attack of gays.
‘Fire Man’ Capleton is one of the eight who was approached last year by the gay rights group to sign and abide by a document called the Reggae Compassionate Act (RCA); binding artists to display onstage behavior change that would see them stop inciting violence against gays.
Capleton is one of three who signed what was launched as a sort of peace treaty and gay rights activists in Switzerland last week cried foul, because they say he went back on his word.
Completely irate that Capleton said he wouldn’t and still continued to ‘bun’ gays, a Swiss LGBT rights group called, Homosexuelle Arbeitsgruppen Basel (HABS), got together with “Stop Murder Music Bern” and petitioned those in charge to abort plans to feature Capleton in a major concert there. Scheduled to be held on November 6 at an alternative music venue called Kaserne in Basel, Switzerland, the show’s plug was pulled at the last minute.
The gay rights groups cited Capleton’s call to ‘bun’ gays at the GT Taylor Christmas extravaganza last year, as a betrayal of his word considering he had signed the RCA that same year.
Gay rights activists applaud the move in Switzerland and reportedly spoke on how tricked and cheated they felt when Capleton was found on You Tube continuing with the same hateful songs. UK based SMM activist Peter Tatchell, told reporters “Congratulations to the Swiss campaigners for getting his concert pulled. Performers who promote the killing of other human beings should not be rewarded with concerts, money and stardom.”
He also said that activists had decided to let Capleton be after he signed the RCA in 2007, but now they are coming at him again with a vengeance.
Capleton is scheduled to perform in other European countries in coming weeks. There is no comment from the ‘Fire Man’ camp.
Beenie Man, Sizzla and Capleton signed the act last year. Elephant Man, TOK, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel and Buju Banton were requested to sign, but they have not.

What lyrics does he speak that promotes killing gays, "bun dem"?, that doesn't mean to kill them, where did they get that information? maybe there is a language barrier that they don't fully understand.

I'll tell you what compassion for queers gets you, look at California. When the people dem voted to stop gay marraige, (70% black, big up black people), the queers took to the streets, steppin pon crosses, and harassing Mormons and Catholics at their churches for putting up cash to stop fag marraige. They are not our friends, they are full of hatred!! Dip them! When the moral foundation of society falls, the nation soon follow. Abomination, so say the Lord of Lords.

no artists should be asked or forced to sign any agreement to endorse something they do not believe in. That is their religious beliefs. And the same way that gays ect believe that they have a right to exist, then so should anyone else believe that they do not have a right to do so. It is not right to boycott or even cancel a concert or event because the artist sticks up for what they believe in because the people that listen to them also share in their beliefs. i do not condone violence but straight people should not be victimised also for not liking gays

My observation is,They talk about gay right, what about our rights, heterosexual rights? These people are fighting for something that they have given up on in the first place. Yes we are all human beings and by such we shall be respected, but you ask me to respect you, and you are not willing to respect me. Am not gay and by such I have a god baring right to have my own point of view. You as a gay person have giving up on your birth right( and I say that to mean, that you where born a man but chose that you want to be a woman, or vise verse. Now tell me?
You want to have all the rights because you are not respected, you are prone to violence, etc. What about my right to be what the lord have crated me to be? and that is, if I was born a man I accept that, and if am a woman I accept the same way, way must I pay for your unsatisfactory psychological acceptance to your own self as whom you are, you are the ones in denial, you may say that I am, nevertheless, you chose your part,I remain in mine.
In no way I agree with violence against another human being, but at the same time I must say that we are force every day to live with people that are different to us, and i accept that, so long ass they life does not inflict on mine.
So if you want to be gay, so be it, but don't expect me to accept you because you want it to be as such.
It is that acceptance to so many things that has us in this world that is so corrupt and nasty. we have accepted way to much in the name of freedom of speech and so forth, that now even the most vile of act, we are force to accept that as well.
I have a rite as a heterosexual, and by such I claim it.
Bwoy, Babylon dem spread wings against Firemon? Nah bwoy, Captain Capleton shuda nah fall fi money! Im shoulda chant fi luv and contnue fi burn de batty breda. Why did he sign it in the 1st place?

This is good for them, since Jamaicans and the Dancehall artistes want to kill the Gays. Kudos to the Gays for not putting up with this slannder and hate mongering. Let their pockets bleed. I hope Gays continue to protest them.
Let them stay in Jamaica and Kill off each other like they are doing. Their horrid music is why that country is the way it is.
Human rights for ALL.......

i really dont understand y these ppl keep tryin to pressure our artists. they dont seem to understand that we dont promote and support their lifestyle. As the legend said "woe to the downpressor they eat the bread of sorrow". It is an abomination n they keep talkin bout marriage n b.s it is not accepted in the eyes of God. They more straight ppl bend to their way is the worse things will be. Capleton blessings to u alwayz keep strong in the faith they keep fightin u n the others but who God bless no man curse, let them keep trying they cant hold u down brother.
And to TIUR16 i wont have u disrespecting dancehall and Jamaica like that if u promote this kinda b.s and f**kery then u will burn just like the rest of them. we dont have to like ur way of life and accept it because u want us 2. For the straight ppl who continue 2 oppose this big up. bun out de chi chi

I am appalled at the hatred posted here, many Jamaicans have spoken and in a manner that most reading will not understand, why bother!
Empress and I subscribe to the same school of thought!
It is the right of all human beings to co-exist regardless of color, creed, beliefs, religious convictions and sexual orientation.
I also agree the the artists should not be forced to sigh anything that's contrary to thier belief's but if all that is being asked of them is to cease spreading hatred that will lead to others being harmed then by all means, "Your signature please".
I am a baptized Christian and as such my ultimate goal it to love everyone, unconditionally just as Christ loves us all, even those who are homosexuals.
We should no more condone lying, stealing, cheating murder, than we do homosexuality it’s indeed a sin but we must grasp that, it is the sin we hate and not the person perpetrating that sin.
With this said, we must understand that our Creator God gave us choices, he has the efficacious power to bring each and everyone on earth to his service but instead he in his infinite wisdom has chosen to allow us to choose whom we serve. (He is Awesome)
Homosexuality and abortion as well as all sins are in the hands of the ones who has been given the choice, and it will be on that Day of Judgment when we stand before him to answer to all we have done and said in our lifetime.
He has given Satan the authority to rule the world in which we live hence the corruption.
The vulgarity being spewed here serves no purpose and adds to the misconception of most that Jamaicans are illiterate.
Every knee shall bow; every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord: I choose now! How about you?

Capleton is my favorite artiste, but him get jus like Jimmy Swaggat. Him only seh tings dat would mek money. Dem rasta fi know seh Old Testament days done. If not, then rasta fi dead fuh fornicating and wearing certain tings. But nuh suh it go. Dem fi get wid di times.
It's one ting to seh woman and man is di best ting. But, when yuh seh that some baddy fi dead because dem love di same sex yuh ah promote murder and violence. Dat ah lawlessness and self righteousness. In fact, it is saying dat you wah be God, since God ah the only executer of Judgement rightyah now.
