Thousands Turn Out for Barefoot
The 4th staging of the Barefoot Beach Party Bikers Edition was a major success. The event was held at the Tropical Beach Complex in Ironshore, Montego Bay.
Bounty Killa, Serani, and Black Rhyno were the major acts. The event was mainly sponsored by Bay Waata and saw the days activities being a major bike show along the lower White House Main Road.
Others, who performed on the show, were English Demus, Japauline, Earthworm, White Knight and others. M.C. duty was performed by Alan Ranks, with some of the major selectors being Tony Matterhorn, Dexter Pepper, Trophy Sniper and T.C. and his Insomniak Crew. The event was courtesy of Flette Promotion which always stages successful events.
Campbell, Ellis crowned Queen and King
16 year old Chinell Campbell was crowned Miss St. James 4H Queen 2008 at the Nyammins and Jammins Family Fun Day event held at the Catherine Hall entertainment Complex on Heroes Day, Monday October 20, 2008.
In the male category, Shaun Ellis, an 11 year old was crowned Mr. 4H King. The event saw a heavy downpour of rain causing slight damages to some of the sponsored tents. The night's activities saw guest performances from Busy Signal, Marcia Griffiths, Goddy Goddy, Courtney Cooke, Sandra Brooks, Khalil and Cameal Davis, all backed by the Fab 5 Band.
The event saw well over 15,000 patrons in attendance with 10,000 being children, who all turned out to ride the bounce about.
