With no charges formally filed against two Westmoreland division policemen, they were ordered released from custody by Resident Magistrate Glen Brown on Wednesday.
Officers Damion Harrow and Donovan Ross had been detained since information received by police investigators linked them to an armed robbery. After spending one week in lock-up, their attorney pleaded with the court to release them, as there was no charge. She asked how could they be remanded without being charged.
With statements, but no witnesses; and two complainants who have trouble coming forward, there were no real grounds on which the court could hod them further
