Rock Steady King Passes

Alton Nehemiah Ellis, a pioneer of the rock steady sound, passed away on Friday in Hammersmith Hospital, West London; succumbing to Lymphatic Cancer.

Starting off in the business of music in the 1950s the mega hit maker, continued to woo crowds with new tracks as well as the many popular songs he released back in the day like: "I'm Still In SLove" and "I'm Just A Guy". He was still performing up until August of this year when he collapsed at a concert in London. Diagnosed with cancer last year, Alton had received chemotherapy before returning to the stage.

Alton moved from Jamaica to live in the UK in the 70s and his Manager reportedly said there are talks of a Jamaican state funeral for the prolific singer.

But He left us with a legacy of music for Generations to come.
