Another promotional plan has been announced by Digicel Jamaica in honour of Usain Bolt's great achievements. The move will offer customers in Jamaica a new cell phone promotion giving them the chance to pay J$3 after 3.

After 3 minutes on a local call, each additional minute will cost only J$3 and there is no limit to the amount of time customers can talk at this rate.

Digicel's Head of Marketing, Wayne Miller explained that Digicel is constantly on the lookout for ways to give back to their more than 2 million customers and to Jamaica. He also said, "We felt this promotion is a perfect way to celebrate Usain Bolt's achievements."

Set to cost Digicel upwards of US$1 million, the promotion applies to pre-paid and post-paid customers.

As an official sponsor of the Jamaican government's week-long celebration for the Olympic athletes, Digicel is demonstrating how proud the company is of the athletes. Miller said, "We feel the cost is worth it. Just like all of Jamaica, Digicel is feeling the joy and pride that Usain Bolt and our other Olympians have given us with their achievements at the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Digicel, along with Jamaica are proud of our athletes and want the entire country to celebrate."

The country celebrates with the athletes from October 3 until October 10 and Digicel's promotional celebration runs from October 3 to October 31, 2008.
