Jamaicans will get a chance to celebrate with Olympians

celebrating_jamicans.jpg
As Jamaica digests the recent glory at the Olympics in Beijing, officials prepare to raise the roof once more in celebration of the athletes’ return home.

Prime Minister Golding
has set up a committee to organize this celebration and says the Jamaican people will be given the chance to celebrate with the athletes.

Many of the country’s Olympians stopped in different parts of the world to participate in follow-up track meets, so the celebrations will be put on hold until all members of the Olympic squad return to Jamaica.

Scheduled to have a follow-up planning meeting today, the committee will disclose their plans to the public as soon as they have been finalized.

Most of the Olympic management team and some other squad members are expected to arrive home later today.
