Allison Hinds added to Irie Jamboree line-up
 Allison Hinds will be one of the Caribbean’s dynamite songstresses who will grace the stage at the annual mega-fete, Irie Jamboree. Taking place on Labor Day, Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York, the highly anticipated concert has a line-up of stellar Caribbean talent and adding the reigning Soca Queen will further delight fans.
Representing for the ladies, along with Toronto based reggae diva, Tanya Mullings, Allison Hinds was chosen to 'ice the Irie Jamboree cake' as she has a strong fan base and is purely electrifying as a performer.
"Allison Hinds had all the qualities we were looking for and a whole lot more to offer" Bobby Clarke, one of the principals of Irie Jamboree Inc. said. Excited about the upcoming event, Clarke feels he has overcome what seemed like a challenge, to choose another queen for this year’s Irie Jamboree.
Veteran artists, Beenie Man and Yellowman were recently added to the line-up that includes other top reggae stars like: Sizzla, Coco Tea, Elephant Man, Serani, Bugle, Demarco, Little Hero and Elvis D.
Hinds, the British born Barbadian is no stranger to the big stage and limelight as she started off in the industry as the lead vocalist with Gabby Grynor and Square One Band. The amazing journey to the top of the female solo roster has been memorable for Hinds who has earned many accolades including Road-march and Party Monarch titles for two consecutive years. Sexy, sassy and sophisticated, the Soca Queen and mother of one made her mark with hit tunes like: "Raggamuffin" and "In the Meantime."
As a worldwide chart topper, Hinds is set to rock New York this labour day weekend.

Toni my mudda is a LADY. Clean in all ways possible. I am a Barbadian, married to a Jamaican for 29 years. I don't hate Jamaicans, I have a dislike for stupidity, and that comes in all nationalities, Jamaicans not excluded. They are some people here who have have serious problems because of the lack of intelligence, but I don't hold it against them. Let's make an effort to embrace, and accept each other. Allison Hinds is a fantastic artist, and she is beautiful.
