Mr. Vegas Shines at Reggae Rising

Mr. Vegas Headshot 1_edit.JPGMr. Vegas has been quite busy on the entertainment circuit. Performing in locales throughout the world, this stronghold dancehall artiste is always eager to thrill fans, and this past weekend, he did just that --- taking his show on the road to the 2nd Annual Reggae Rising Music Festival, (produced by People Productions), in the northern tip of California.

It was a special weekend for Mr. Vegas and his ensemble as they touched down on the picturesque setting, which included a remarkable backdrop of the Eel River. Much different than they anticipated, the eclectic Reggae Rising Music Festival was one to be rivaled. With three performance areas, outdoor camping and loads of special treats and creative concepts, uncommon to most festivals, the three-day event played home to a thorough line-up of Reggae artistes and thousands of revelers.

Although they went through planes, trains and automobiles to get to the event, it was very much worthwhile in the long run. At the festival on Saturday, August 2, Mr. Vegas shined -- delivering a 60 minute impressive set of numerous hits. But the most exciting element of the performance was High Energy dancer Boricia, who enticed the crowd as she moved to the pulsating beats. She enjoyed displaying the latest dancehall moves just as much as the crowd enjoyed watching and imitating her. Additionally, background singer, Nicole Miller, blazed during her solo performance. Her sultry vocals mesmerized the sea of fans.

Mr. Vegas was joined by other top Reggae acts, including Sly and Robbie, Lexxus, Junior Reid and none other than Jamaica's beloved crooner Beres Hammond. In just a few weeks, Mr. Vegas will be off to toast it up in Africa.
