Mavado a-foul of the law again
 David Brooks, aka 'Mavado', has again run a-foul of the law.
Mavado was Sunday night slapped with assault charges following a fight at a night club in Negril, Westmoreland, in which a patron was seriously injured.
He is also charged for using abusive language to the police who tried to arrest him.
It is reported that at 4am, Movado had an argument with a patron at the Jungle nightclub in Negril, at the annual RTI festival.
During the dispute, the entertainer allegedly punched the patron in the face.
The man then fell down a flight of stairs and suffered multiple injuries.
This occurred in full view of several members of the police force, who were monitoring the annual RTI and ATI festivals in Negril.
Several police officers approached Mavado and tried to arrest him, but he resisted arrest and allegedly used abusive language to the cops.
To avoid an ugly clash with fans of the artiste, the cops decided not to arrest him on the spot.
He was later spotted at another location in the parish and was apprehended.
He is to appear in the Savanna-la-mar Criminal Court on August 12, to answer the charges.
Mavado, who has had several brushes with the law, was recently freed on gun-related charges in the Gun Court.

Im sick and tired of the Alliance and dem foolishness.......I dont know why de police dont just lock up dem , caz mi know they must can find something fi lock dem up for...

Well I am a Mavado fan, and you could say I am bias when it comes to him.
But one thing I can guarantee, is the press/media make stories up so they can sell there papers,
What I mean by this is why would Mavado just get up and punch a man in the face for no reason?
Please rest sure that I do not condone the actions of Mavado on that night….. according to reliable source's like The Police and the Press, (I mean, they would never tell any untruths would they!!!) (sorry excuse my sarcasm)
But I truly believe every action has a reaction and for every cause there is an effect!
Lets see the out come of this
(dam, wish I was at that court hearing, I love Sav-la-mar so much, my home town)

Thanks for being such a "great" role model to the yutes Movado......in my day Supercat, diamond socks and ratchet knife inna back pocket was the real thing.Dave from shower posse-Jim Brown ect. them man de can tell story bout badness and yet still we respected them somehow-I have even been in their presence and politced with a few of them myself-how come? because at the end of the day they were far more intellegent than these overnight badman we have now,inna dem tight up pants. I cant believe this again Mavado looks to dissapoint his fans around the world with these stupid charges! He lost many chances to perfom with Jay Z & other once in a lifetime things. He is very talented and is runing his carrer YOUR F**KING RICH NOW stop the foolishness and advance the scene, the people and the culture!
He has shows coming up in Canada again and has pending charges AGAIN weeks before them this is outrageous!

How unfortunate. Just when things starts going great for Mavado musically he is trying to throw it all away. I dont think the media is making up any thing. You guys in entertainment need to grow up. Bad attitude only gets you in trouble. I know patrons will provoke a situation because of their support for other artistes, but I think the sensible thing to do is ignore them, because you cant fight the world, right Mavado. Chill youth cause yuh a gwaan good. Dont through it all away just to prove a point.

People should stop trying to fight the members of the alliance everything they do people blow it out of proportion i do not condone any wrong doing but there are so many other artiste out there doing things but it is not blown up in the media. There are so many other urgent matters to be attended to, like the murders of innocent youths and homeless people for them to report, but they choose to prey on the entertainers who because they may have had previous runnings with the law they persecute and try to stop their stride this need to stop. when he was poor nobody cared whether he was alive or dead now he is trying to make life better for his kids and family they trying to tear him down, hold up your head Rodney, Mavado and the entire Alliance family don't let them stop you, you're God bless just know who is for you and watch your backs.
