Lil Wayne for Reggae Sumfest.
 In 1997, 18 year old, New Orleans native, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. known as Lil Wayne was the youngest member of the Cash Money Records group Hot Boys. He soon surmounted the groups expectations.
Now this Grammy nominated star will be joining other international stars, such as Keyshia Cole, for Reggae Sumfest's International Night on Friday, July 18, 2008.
The group, Hot Boys, careened to stardom with tracks such as "We on Fire" and "I Need a Hot Girl". Lil Wayne's release of his first solo album, "Tha Block is Hot" which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts, propelled him to stardom as a solo artiste.
The group, Hot Boys, also collaborated with The Big Tymers to produce the internationally acclaimed hit "Bling Bling".
Today Lil Wayne also known as "Lil Weezy" in one of the most respected rappers in the Hip Hop industry, with the release of his trilogy albums: "Tha Carter", "Tha Carter11" and "Tha Carter111".
Now at 25 years old with hits such as "Got Money" in collaboration with superstar T-Pain and "Millie" there is absolutely no stopping him. He was voted the "Hottest MC in the Game" as well as one of the "Men of the Year" in GQ Magazine. Blender Magazine also gave him the distinction of being the "Best Rock Star Alive".
He is a definite 'must see' at this years Reggae Sumfest festival as this one will surmount all others.
