The Marley Resort and Spa joins the newest line of exclusive Boutique Resorts

The Marley Resort and Spa, West Bay Street ,came alive this past labour day weekend with the sounds of Pliers one half of, arguably Jamaica's most successful duo, Chackademus and Pliers. The resort which is presently closed to the public, is getting geared up for its grand opening, slated for Sunday 16th, June 2008.
Rita Marley, the proprietor, who staged this free concert, was on hand to celebrate with the employees. "It was wonderful. Big up Nassau I love it!" she said as she was seen dancing along with staff members of the resort.
On quizzing Pliers about the resort, he was quite happy to recommend it to everyone. "I love the setting – it is very beautiful. The rooms are very nice. I did not expect anything less. I know Mrs. Marley very well, she is a quality lady with lots of style and she meditates before she does anything. Meditation is quite important."
On looking back at his most successful career, Pliers shrugged his shoulders and smiled as he reminisced about the unusual amount of success that he was grateful to have enjoyed so far. It appeared difficult for him to begin as the road has been a long one, with numerous hit singles and records to his credit.
"We were the second most successful group (Chackademus and I), that Chris Blackwell signed after Bob Marley. "Murder She Wrote" sold over seven million copies. We are also the first Jamaican act to have three consecutive top five hits on the U.K Singles Chart."
The road has been long for the dynamic duo who brought to the world, "Tease Me", "She Don't Let Nobody", a cover for a Curtis Mayfield tune. 'Twist and Shout', a remake of the Isley Brothers and Beatles hit and the recently released "Need Your Loving".
For those who missed out on a great weekend Pliers promises to come back and bring his two talented brothers Spanner Banner and Richie Spice for the official opening of the exclusive Marley Resort and Spa.
