Byron Lee and the Dragonaires coming hot for the 2008 International Curry Festival

By: Dave Lindo

byronLee-curryfest08.jpgByron Lee and The Dragonaires will be coming in full force at the 2008 International Curry Festival which gets on the way on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Central Broward Regional Park, in Lauderhill, Florida.

"We are the only band that can play any type of music and get a good response, it is because we have been around for the past 53 years. We have a Trinidadian and a Guyanese in our band so we can play a variety of music."

The 'Dragon' himself, Byron Lee said, "We will be playing music to suit everybody from the young to the old so the people at The Curry Fest are really in for a good time."

Byron Lee is one of the top bands in the Caribbean who have played at most of the top Festivals and Carnivals in the West Indies, North America and other regions across the world.

"We will be playing from soca, reggae, dancehall, all kinds of music. People know that wherever Byron Lee and The Dragonaires play they are in for a good time.

Byron Lee and the Dragonaires will be performing alongside Mickey Spice, Mikal Rustle, Riki Jai, Omadath and The Code Red Band.

The event is sponsored by VP Records, Western Union, YardFlex and Hot 105 FM.
