marc_johnson.jpgWell known entertainment publicist Marc Johnson was found strangled in his apartment at Sullivan Place last Sunday.

According to the CCN, Johnson's body was found by the caretakers at the apartment at 12:30 yesterday afternoon. The police was called and Johnson was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Yendi Phillips is a natural as Rising Star host

yendi_(risingstar)_edit.jpgLast night (Sunday June 8) Yendi Phillips made her Digicel Rising Star job as host with the first audition was shown on TVJ at 8:00 pm.

The mad season of Rising Star is now 'officially' on as this is where the john public gets involved in the voting process.

Watching Yendi in action she was a natural as she interacted and did her thing. And we must say that she was a better dresser too!

From last night's show john public will be required to vote and select the top two from that location who will get the chance to move on to the studio segment of that show.

However, watching the final cut for St. Thomas, I must say I was not impressed, for the most part I was bored, as many of their contestant failed to put their all in the auditions.

Most of the times the judges Clyde McKenzie, Anthony Miller and Nadine Sutherland could be heard saying they wanted some more 'emotions', contestants need to 'put a little more effort' into their performance.

The big prize for this year will be $1 million, the chance to release two singles and a music video, with the runners up receiving $600,000 and $400,000 respectively.
