Witness Says R. Kelly Is Man In Sex Tape

rkelly_trial.jpgThe former best friend of the 13-year-old girl who allegedly features in the explicit video at the center of the R. Kelly child pornography trial has named the star as the man who appears in the footage, this according to wjbt.com.

Simha Jamison
, now 24, testified on the second full day of the singer's trial in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, stating she believed her friend Roshona Landfair, now 23, to be the underage girl in the video. And when asked who she believed the man in the video tape to be, she replied, "Her Godfather, R. Kelly."

Jamison told the court she met the Grammy-winner through Landfair, who introduced the star as her "Godfather." Jamison went on to tell the court she recognized the girl in the video as her former friend from her face and a "mullet" haircut the two girls had both sported at the time.

The witness told Cook County prosecutor Shauna Boliker she had previously seen the tape in question in February 2002.

The girl in the video, thought to be either 13 or 14 years old at the time, has maintained that she isn't the female in the footage, and Kelly's attorneys backed up her claims.

On Tuesday, Kelly's lawyers insisted the man in the video bears key physical differences from the star. Kelly stands accused of videotaping himself having sex with a 13-year-old girl, and could face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.

YardFlex will keep you posted with more news on the trial.

The real reason Usher's mom was absent at his wedding

uShER_edit.jpgUsher is now talking up the things regarding his mom's absence at his wedding. Mediatakeout.com gave a snippet from an interview he did.

"My mother made a decision not to come to my wedding because she didn't really agree with my decision," he explains, declining to specify whether she disagreed with his choice of wife or his decision to fire her. "I don't know why," he offers simply. "She's never told me and I've never asked her." Though he demurs when pressed further for details, he reveals: "It hurt me very much not to see her there 'cause I would've liked for her to be there, not to mention that I paid so much money for her to be accommodated and her behind didn't show up. [Laughs] But just as she's made stands, so have I."

Well YardFlex says good for Usher, no matter how you low your parents there are times you just have to follow your heart. They lived their lives, you have to live yours too!

Teen actor in upcoming 'Harry Potter' film killed

robert knox at 15.jpgA British teenage actor playing a minor role in the upcoming "Harry Potter" film was stabbed to death during a brawl in London on Saturday, police said.

According to AP news Rob Knox, 18, was stabbed after he got caught up in a fight outside a bar in southwest London early Saturday, London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Knox plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in the upcoming film "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince," the sixth installment of the popular series set for release in November. Warner Bros., the studio that is producing the film, said it was shocked by the news.

Knox was one of five young men taken to various hospitals after the brawl, police said. Among them was a 21-year-old who has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. The fight did not appear to be gang-related, police added, but it puts the number of violent teenage deaths in London at 14 so far this year.

Yet another black eye for hip-hop and R&B. Isn’t it ironic that these hip-hop artists can get away with the most lewd acts that they commit against people. Clearly, R. Kelly is on trial for child pornography, but he gets away with his actions with the time he spends outside of jail. What’s more interesting is the time he has on his contract. It is evident that as soon as R. Kelly’s contract expires, he will face the full brunt of the American judicial system. These child pornography allegations surfaced in 2001; and between the period these child pornography allegations surfaced and until the end of R. Kelly’s contract, he won’t be prosecuted. He will be prosecuted when his contract runs out and the record company is not obligated to participate in the trial because he’s no longer under contract with that company. It is evident that the record company executives are waiting for his contract to expire, so that the court system can begin full prosecution of an artist who’s sold so many records. Hip-Hop artist play an important role in shaping American pop culture, conversely, these artist are not supported by the record companies that they’re under contract with. Don’t you think it’s weird that many record label executives are absent at his court hearings. Obviously, Hip-Hop artist are being used by these labels to make money, but when these artist get in trouble, there’s nobody there to support them. And why should they, you have a guy that’s being charged for child pornography, not even his fans show up to his court hearings and neither do people in the record industry. This is just another example of the moral dilemma that’s in the United States, and coincidently Hip-Hop/R&B music is the reason for this and other dilemmas in this country. No one is saying that Hip-Hop/R&B is overtly bad, it’s just that your music incorporates every that’s wrong with our society into its music and then claim it as a legit form of expression. R. Kelly is going to have a hard time proving his innocence, he has a video tape that seems authentic, not to mention, the music he makes glorifies women as sexual objects. Black people outside the United States look down on you African Americans and they have every reason to. I feel sorry for the girl in the video tape, and if you feel the same way, I don’t blame you. Feminist and women’s groups should get together and correct the problem in our society. The problem is the sexist and misogynistic lyrics in Hip/Hop music that cause Hip-Hop/R&B artist to make video tapes of innocent women partaking in lewd acts. Despite the long trial process, R. Kelly might go to jail; you just can’t disprove a video tape that shows what you glorify in your R&B music.

The video tape itself cannot be used as evidence because it's in the bublic domain already.

The prosecutor will be relying on the eyewitness, in this case, it's the 'victims' friend.

Yes, he's a talented singer/songwriter but, like MJ, a lot of people are thinking something's just not right with R. Kelly even if they cant exactly put their finger on it. The man has been a rumored pedohpile from at least Alliyah days if not before. I think they're paying off the girl to deny it's her. Keep your girl children out of his line of sight and hope for a conviction.
