Chimney Records Taking over Jamaica By Storm

By: Jodi-Kaye Watson

Jamaica is an island full of talented people. Two such people are David Hayle and Jordan McClure who have formed their record label called, Chimney Records. The two have been friends since Preparatory school and both share the same passion and enthusiasm for dancehall music. After high school the two decided to create their own music and agreed to combine efforts to build their own label from scratch.

The goals of these talented young men have always been to make great music that will stand the test of time, music that people will enjoy as much as they do and to be remembered for that music. These two also aimed to achieve a level of success that would be inspirational to others.

Currently the two are working on several projects, including, Soul Seeka Riddim, featuring "Tell Dem" by Bounty Killer and Einstein and songs by Vybz Kartel, Bramma, Black Rhino and others. They are also working on albums for Vybz Kartel, Bramma and Einstein and have several new singles to be released soon.

Working with these artistes has given David and Jordan a new level of respect for their talent, professionalism and creativity. The most memorable project for Chimney Record to date was the project done with Bounty Killer. The two have looked up to and respected the 'Killa' from they were kids.

Everybody who is involved in the music business must look up to someone. These two talented young men look up to not only Bounty Killer but also Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul and Delly Ranx. The two wish to work with Sean Paul, Junior Gong, Mavado, Busy Signal, 50 Cent, Rick Ross, T-Pain, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and Busta Rhymes, just to name a few. These two have big dreams and with their determination and persistence we know they will achieve all that they want to.

David and Jordan have a few words for youngsters who dream of having their own record label, "Make good music, believe in yourself and make things happen and never let failure be an option". This is really good advice for young talented people.

Be sure to look out for David Hayle and Jordan McClure, (the founders of Chimney Records). They are taking Jamaica by storm.
