It's curry festival time!

Curryfest_side2_Teaser2_proof_edit02.jpgThe Westmoreland Curry Festival took place last Sunday at Mannings School and the large throng that turned out showed how much Jamaican people love their curry!

At the festival, there were the usual traditional dishes such as curried goat, chicken, shrimp etc. but then there were dishes for the more adventurous in taste such as curried octopus, cake, soup...and the list got crazier and crazier.

It will be interesting to see how the next curry festival will fear. International Curryfest 2008, which takes place in Miami on June 15, should see the real curry lovers coming out enmasse.

Everything will certainly be curry for the Festival as their will be cook off competition and other attractions such as Henna Painting.

Just as artiste vibes up the place in Westmoreland, entertainment won't be left out of the activities for Miami. Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, Mickey Spice, Dutchess and Mikal Rustle will ensure that patrons musical appetites are well taken care of.
