Sad to see the mother of a great icon go. We thank her for birthing the Legend. I however have one question to ask...When did she become Cedella Marley? I went to school with her granddaughters at Alpha and was classmate and friends with one of them and to my knowledge she was never married to Bob's Father. So how dat go? I know that her maiden name is not Marley either. Yardflex plse get the story straight.

Well i guess she is with Bob Now.

Excuse my ignorance, but i wish that there was an autobiography of Cedella Marley Booker so that i could relate more to this story. Yes it obvious that she is a member of the Marley Family. BUt i want to know the role she played in this society. Thank You!

This might just be the fault of outaroad.com but I find it strange that politicians are front and centre in every picture when major dons and gangsters die. Cedella Booker not important?

TRIBUTE TO MOTHER B

Rest In Peace you did your duty
Now you have come to the end of your journey

What you have produced for the people of this earth will last for eternity

The seed you carried to fruition had to be done by one not many

That seed you bore is now an icon of a man
Bob the Gong has done more for Jamaica than any Parson, Pope, Police or Politician

We must now try to truly emancipate ourselves from mental slavery
We need to stop the hating, tribalism, bad mind and all other forms fuckery
Africa still needs to unite
Look at Zimbabwe help freed by the Gong now all the good work is out of sight
We should try to be our brother’s keeper
We must stop serving the grim reaper
Or else our road to the promise land will only get steeper

Bob only did 36 earth years
But he was smart as he left many heirs
Theses heirs will carry the message in what ever genre they choose
They are all winners and will never lose
Bob’s prophecy has fulfilled “So Jah seh” Not one of my seed shall sit on a side walk and beg bread”
So all di puss and dog dem betta stop flip up or dem just aggo drap dead
Dem last days aggo dread
Dem own bad mind aggo kill dem
Dem life aggo full a pure misery and problem

Who Jah bless no man can curse
Or else call di doctor or nurse and then di hearse

FOR MOTHER "B"

ONE OF OUR GREATEST AFRICAN MOTHERS
WAS TAKEN UP TO THE SPIRIT WORLD
SHE CROSSED OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE
AND NOW SHE ABIDES WITH THE ANCESTORS

SHE WAS A WOMAN OF POWER, A WOMAN OF GRACE
A MOTHER TO ALL, A SHINING LIGHT TO HER RACE
SHE WAS A QUEEN, A GODDESS,
A TRUE FORM OF RIGHTIOUSNESS
AN EMPRESS, HER HIGHNESS,
A TRUE RASTA LIONESS

MOMMY, MOMMY, EVERYBODY CALLS YOUR NAME
YOU WERE THE MATRIARCH OF A ROYAL FAMILY
THE MOTHER OF A KING, A PROFIT,
A GREAT TEACHER, A WORLD LEADER
THROUGH YOUR WOMB CAME THE SACRED SEED
THAT SPROUTED A WHOLE GARDEN OF RASTAFARI
YOU SHARED THE SAME EARTHDAY AS SELASSI I
NO CO-INCIDENCE OF YOUR ROYALNESS
WHICH WAS EVIDENT BY YOUR PRESENCE

YOU WILL BE MISSED
MORE THAN ANY WORDS COULD DESCRIBE
YOURS WAS A VIBE THAT WAS ALL THE WAY LIVE
EVERYTIME ONE SAW YOUR SMILE
OR THAT ALL KNOWING LOOK IN YOUR EYES
OR YOUR GLOW THAT WAS EVER SO WISE
YOUR LEGEND WILL SURVIVE GENERATIONS
WITH IRATIONS OF THE LOVE YOU SHARED
THE FAMILY YOU CARED FOR
AND THE MULTITUDES YOU WERE AN EXAMPLE FOR

RASPECT, RASPECT, RASPECT, ROYAL QUEEN
MOTHER B
YOUR SEAT IN HEAVEN IS ASSURED
FOR THE LIFE YOU ENDURED
AND THE LIVES YOU INSPIRED
FOR THE TIRELESS SERVICE YOU GAVE
WITHOUT ASKING
YOUR PLACE IN THE HEARTS OF MANY
IS EVERLASTING
LIKE THE WINGS THAT LIFTED YOU UP TO ZION
WHERE YOU'RE HIGH ON THE LIGHT
AND THE LOVE THAT IS ITERNAL
WHERE YOU WILL BE FOREVER
DANCING WITH THE STARS* * * * * * * * * * *

PEACE & BLESSINGS

ONE LOVE, MARIJAH
