A Buju Banton Penthouse split
Penthouse Records has announced an amicable separation from artiste, Buju Banton.
In a statement issued recently, CEO of Penthouse, Donovan Germain said, "I have been guiding and managing the career of Buju Banton for the last 18 years and the time has come for this chapter to close."
He added that having dedicated the last 18 years to building Buju Banton's career, taking him from obscurity to the pinnacle of international stardom, it was with a sense of pride that he relinquished the management of the artist, to move on to other activities.
Germain further stated, "First and foremost, I am a producer and after spending so many years on the road touring, I now feel the need to get back in the studio and get really involved in the production side of the music."
According to music news, he said this was a "mutual decision" which was long in the making. Germain pointed out that Buju Banton would be handling his own affairs under his Gargamel Music outfit.
"Buju is now refurbishing his studio and his entire operations, so he will be able to handle his bookings and all management-related activities." Germain said he wishes Buju continued success, adding that the artiste could feel free to call on his expertise whenever necessary.

Buju is very talented! And he deserves a manager who is sincerely devoted to taking his career even further. I am sure that his career will skyrocket now. Buju had outgrown Poorhouse a long time ago!!!

Buju,
Does not need a manager, he can do it himself through his label. The Burning Spear, Mr. Winston Rodney, and his wife have been running their own show for years! They simply cut out the middle men. A lot of times these middle men only have their own interest at heart!
Buju need to follow in Spear's footsteps and marry an intelligent sophisticated woman who can run the show!

i wish u much success in your future endeavours. u ar indeed a legend in your own rights. in many ways mr germain was an appendage of you. so there comes a time when one has to break the mold and not be stagnated by familarity. much love and regards, fiona.
