Why is it that there is a reoccurring trend of Jamaican born males engaging in terorist activity. This is not the first time a Jamaican was found guilty of the same offense.

This is just another reason to justify Jamaicans traveling abroad to be excessively scrutinized, and harrassed. These are the very situations that make us all look bad and result in Jamaicans on a whole being viewed as criminal minded. But it just goes to show that the same mind set you have in JA is really the same mindset elsewhere.

There needs to be a collaborative effort to really educate young and old alike about how violence and weapons, destroy families and communities. The same mind that was used to construct a pipe bomb could have been used more constructively to enhance the lives of Jamaicans in a more positive way.

When I think about the sacrifice made by our fore- fathers such as Marcus Garvey, Paul Bogle, Nanny, etc it makes me ask is this what we have come to ? Where has the strength, love, compassion, courage and bravery gone. We are such a great people with immense potential if only we learn to embrace the best within ourselves and each other and build upon that greatness we would truly be a real force to be reckoned with, but instead we want to turn Kings-town into Gun-Town and spread the senseless culture of violence to every community in JA.. and globally.
