Gospel Charts this week

Marvin Sapp.jpgReturning to the top of the Billboard Top Gospel Charts this week is Marvin Sapp's "Thirsty," ending WOW Gospel 2008's four week run at the top of the charts, as it moves down to the number two position for the week.

Kirk Franklin's "The Fight of My Life" holds on to the number three position as "Jesus" from Shekinah Glory Ministry maintains the number four spot. Israel & New Breed's "A Deeper Level" rounds out the week's top five. Other notable chart activity includes strong debuts from LaRue Howard with "How Great is Our God" - number 6 and Norman Hutchins' latest, "Spontaneous Praise: Vol. 1" -number nine.

In the world of radio, Marvin Sapp continues to dominate with his second consecutive week back at the top spot with "Never Would Have Made It." In total, this single has spent 28 weeks at the number one position. Kirk Franklin's "Declaration (This Is It!)" holds to the number two spot. "He's Done Enough" from Beverly Crawford sits at number three while The Clark Sisters' "Livin" takes the number four position. Ricky Dillard & New G round out the week's top five with "The Light."
