News Brief
Mavado's show that was scheduled for Saturday March 16, at Miami Soho Studios was interrupted by an altercation outside the venue.
Apparently two men were having an argument outside the club when one of Mavado's entourage who goes by the alias 'Chase Cross' was stabbed by one of the men who was arguing.
This occurred after 'Chase Cross' asked the two men to squash the argument, to prevent the cops from shutting down the show. After walking away one of the assailants, who was in the altercation stabbed him in his neck. He was rushed to the Trauma unit by Mavado and members of their entourage.
We at YardFlex wishes 'Chase Cross' a speedy recovery. People we need to learn how to taper our anger.

Shaggy was just signed by Pepsi in Europe. "What's Love" featuring Akon the lastest single is # 1 in Europe. Last week the video was the most requested. Congrats to Mr.Bombastic once again.

Kanye West was spotted in the Mansion New York City, Saturday, with some brown skin chick, not his fiance. Along for the stroll was his manager. Despite what they may think about Kanye, he over tipped the waitress $500 after purchasing a bottle of PJ Fleur Rose Magnum Champagne at $2,100.
I am wondering where was his fiance Alexis, they seemed to go everywhere together but obviously not this time.

Remember awhile back, we had informed you guys that UB40's front man Ali Campbell is calling it quits. Well he did and YardFlex just learnt that Maxi Priest will be replacing him as the group's front man permanently.

I wish Trace Cross a speady recovery. Violence only begets more violence. Mavado always claim to sing his life experience but as a person that listened to his album in it's entirety there is an overwhelming theme of violence, and lack of respect or concern for life. There are so many negative perceptions of Jamaica and Jamaicans and unfortunately these incidences only add to the negativity.
Being an artist of anykind is a privilege. There is no shortage of talent in the world and when people embrace your talent and is willing to support you with their hard earned dollars one should embrace that opportunity with gratitude and humility.
Jamaica is the 3rd most murderous country in the world. It would be unfair for me to think this problem started with Mavado or any other Dancehall artist but I can make the assessment that Mavado and those like him who have tremendous influence are not making a positive impact on the minds of young people.
I applauded Mavado for getting computers to various parts of Jamaica that is great but you must be consistent with your positivity. Unfortunately people will soon forget the computers but the lyrics to your songs are everlasting. Decades from today there will still be evidence of your music and why not make that a positive legacy. I doubt there will be evidence of those computers in lets say 20 years.
Mavado, more than any other artist has a unique opportunity before him to positively impact the lives of many who look up to him. All he needs to do is denounce violence and this Gangster lifestyle because this is not helping us. This mentality is destroying the very fabric of society.
I respect all dancehall artist but I will only support those who are positively trying to impact the lives of the less fortunate.

BASICALLY, I WAS THERE. ENCORE SOUND WAS PLAYING AT THE TIME. WHEN I SAW 2 MEN FIGHTING ACROSS THE ROOM.
THEN I SAW SECURITY RUN INSIDE TO SEPARATE THE FIGHT . EVERYBODY THEN RAN SCARED OUTSIDE. WHILE OUTSIDE I HEARD ONE OF THE PROMOTERS TELLING EVERYBODY TO COME BACK INSIDE & THAT EVERYTHING IS FINE. ON MY WAY BACK INSIDE I SAW FOOTA HYPE & 4 OTHER GUYS BRINGING OUT CHASE CROSS. HE WAS ON THE FLOOR BY THE SIDEWALK BLEEDING. I THEN SAW MAVADO, FLEX, & EINSTEIN RUNNING TO SEE CHASE CROSS ON THE FLOOR. THE COPS JUST STAYED THERE LOOKING & THEY WASNT DOING ANYTHING. EVERYBODY NEXT TO ME WAS PISSED INCLUDING ME. THE AMBULANCE TOOK AT LEAST 45 MNS TO COME. THATS WHY EVERYBODY WAS MAD CURSING & EVERYTHING. MAVADO WAS STANDING NEXT TO C. CROSS ON THE FLOOR BLEEDING. ONE OF THE GUYS DID GET ARRESTED DUE TO THE FACT OF THE SITUATION. WHICH I THINK IS UNDERSTANDABLE.
I THINK THAT THE FACT THAT THE CLUB WAS IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI & A BLACK PERSON WAS INJURED, THEY DECIDED TO TAKE THEIR TIME TO ARRIVE.
I WAS REALLY ANGRY & I WASNT BOTHERED THAT MAVADO WAS CURSING AT ALL. HES HUMAN & THE FACT THAT HES IN A BIG COUNTRY & NOT IN JAMAICA WHERE IT WOULD BE UNDERSTANABLE IF THE AMBULANCE TAKE FOREVER TO COME.
FOOTA HYPE BIG UP YOURSELF FOR A JOB WELL DONE. I FEEL THAT YOURE A GOOD YUTE & IM SORRY THAT YOUR PARTY GOT MASHED UP. BIG UP ALSO THE WHOLE OF THE ALLIANCE CREW SAME WAY. BIG BIG UP FOR CHASE CROSS FOR BEING STRONG EVEN THOUGH THEM P**SSYS WANTED HIM TO JUST STAY THERE & DIE.
