San Diego's Sports Arena is set to light up on President's Day, with rugged and raw reggae current that will electrify the 27th Annual Tribute To The Reggae Legends Festival.
On Monday, February 18 the Arena will be customized in the famous 'Reggae-Dance-hall' configuration, with no chairs and ample space for patrons to 'do their thing.' This ideal atmosphere comes with a price; that of floor tickets, while unreserved seats are also on sale.
Formerly called 'The Bob Marley Day Festival,' the festival is produced by WorldBeat Productions in association with Moss Jacobs Presents, as a benefit for the WorldBeat Cultural Center.
One of Africa's most prolific Reggae messengers, Alpha Blondy, is slated to be the closing act. Also on the bill are: Capleton, Barrington Levy, St. Croix's Midnite, Don Carlos, Jamaica's most prolific drum and bass duo: Sly & Robbie, Germany's Gentleman, Gregory Isaacs, Queen Ifrica, San Juan, Puerto Rico's Cultura Profetica, Cherine Anderson and San Diego based favorites Tribal Seeds.
